Rocksbox Review + Free Month Coupon – November 2018
Rocksbox is a designer jewelry styling and renting service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access to the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy the pieces they love most at a discounted price.
Upon subscribing, you’ll take a “style survey,” so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wish list. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist. I’ve been leaving my list empty so that Rocksbox can do all the picking for me.
Try on the items in the box, and wear them as long as you’d like. From there, you have two choices. If you love any of the pieces enough to want to keep them, you can put your monthly “Shine Credit” towards your purchase.
Or, if you’re ready for another style, return your box using the free shipping label and reusable envelope you got with your shipment. Shortly after, you’ll get a brand new box of jewelry to enjoy!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Rocksbox November 2018 Review
Here’s the info booklet that came with my jewelry set. It outlines the piece I got and the value of each item. There’s also a short note from my stylist about the items she picked. I’m so excited that ALL THREE of the items in my set are pieces I added to my wishlist!!!
I also got a care card with tips on keeping my rental pieces looking their best.
My free return shipping label is also at the bottom of the box. Did you know that the outer envelope that Rocksbox ships inside doubles as a return shipping envelope? Be tidy cutting it open—there’s a second adhesive strip that can be used to reseal the opened package for your set’s return trip!
Last but not least, I got a special holiday promo that gets me some extra credit that I can put towards the pieces I love! I love this fun little gift!
Each jewelry item comes tucked inside its own protective pouch. Did you know these velvety pouches double as polishing cloths?
Slate Morrigan Drops in Brushed Gold – Listed Value $55.00, Member Price $46.00
I love the modern, understated vibes of Slate jewelry. It’s a Rocksbox brand that I find myself coming back to again and again. These earrings make a statement without taking the spotlight, thanks to their simple circle shapes and brushed-metal finish. They can give a burst of polish to a look without feeling glitzy. I like the personality they give a button-down and high-waisted trousers. And the gold finish is just the tone I like—not too yellowy, but still bright.
Kate Spade So Foxy Pave Acorn Pendant – Listed Value $58.00
This little acorn will be a kitschy addition to my Thanksgiving outfit this year. It feels just right for fall, and I love how delicate and sweet it is. I could see layering it with other necklaces to make more of an impact. In the photo, I’m wearing it on the shortest setting, but there is an additional 3.5″ of extender chain that you can loosen it with. The necklace itself if 16″ long without the extender. Most little necklaces I have like this are around 18″, so this one fits a little closer, almost like a choker might.
Aster Estrella Drops in Labradorite – Listed Value $60.00, Member Price $51.00
These are my favorite pick from this set. I love the deep gray labradorite centers of these chubby stars—the subtle marbling looks so pretty. I like that they do have gold accents, though, to make them pop against my dark hair. I would wear these every day. I want this style in a rainbow of colors!
The Verdict: I’m so happy to have gotten three pieces from my wishlist! To be clear, Rocksbox will always include something from your wishlist in your set, but it’s rare to get three whole picks. I feel like a relatively fickle jewelry-wearer—I often find myself buying trendy jewelry, wearing it once, and then dropping it in my jewelry box, never (or rarely) to be worn again. Rocksbox is the perfect thing for someone like me since I can get that brand-new-jewelry feeling without the commitment of having to make good on my investment (a.k.a. wear the things I buy more than once, haha). By renting pieces, I can try before I buy, or just wear the looks I love until I’m ready to try something new. I can also return things and get some new surprises ASAP. Rocksbox has done wonders for my crowded jewelry box and keeps my style feeling up-to-date and exciting.
