Ivory Clasp Handbag Review + Coupon – October 2018
Ivory Clasp is a monthly women’s accessories subscription that’s all about clutches, totes, backpacks, and all things purses!
When you sign up, you’ll fill out the Ivory Clasp questionnaire, letting their stylists know what patterns, colors, materials, and shapes you prefer in the bags you buy. In addition to answering questions, you’ll go through several screens of “select the bags you’d be happy to get” to provide even more specific information about what you’d like to receive.
When your curation is ready, they will send you an e-mail giving you a few days to select the specific bag that you wish to receive. If you do not select a bag, their stylists will select one for you and you’ll get to be surprised.
My Subscription Addiction received this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Ivory Clasp Handbag Subscription for October 2018
If you read my review of last month‘s bag, you’ll see that I choose a similar one this month:
Fly Sky Blush Satchel
Dimensions: 14″ L x 6″ W x 10″ H
Weight: 2lbs, 6oz
The blush faux leather (I assume PU) is accented by gold stitching and feels sturdy and like it will hold its shape.
The metal accents like the zipper, zipper pulls, and strap hooks are a shiny gunmetal gray which contrasts well with the lighter blush shade. BTW, the entire satchel zips closed so no “brake dump” in the car in traffic. You know what I’m talking about, right?
A long, adjustable shoulder strap is included so you can carry this satchel by the handles or over your shoulder. A small zipper pocket is hidden in the back.
I love that there is a big pocket on the outside that closes with a magnetic snap. This is usually where I stow my phone and other quick access items.
This thing is so roomy inside (perfect for work). There are two big compartments separated by a large zipper divider. One side has small pockets and the other has a larger zipper pocket. Everything is lined with this cotton blend stripe fabric. My only complaint here is that the bottom of the lining isn’t attached to the outer part of the purse, so it kind of free floats around in there.
The bottom of this satchel is stiff and covered in a tougher (but matching) material than the sides. It stands on its own which is another reason it’s a great work bag.
Here’s how it looks on:
The Verdict: I can’t wait to switch my little backpack for my Ivory Clasp pick this month. I love structured styles and being able to carry my entire life with me when I leave home. This bag fits my essentials plus a book or tablet, a tape measure, 30 pens, my dog’s leash and whatever else ends up in there throughout the week. The only identifying brand factor is the paper hang tag; there is no logo marking on the bag at all. Fly Sky as a brand doesn’t have a lot of info available online, so I don’t know the exact value of this particular bag. It feels well made and sturdy and I think it will hold its shape for the duration of our time together. I’m happy with my choice and the quality of the purse I got for $49. I’m thinking I might let Ivory Clasp pick my next bag for me (even though I love the option to choose) just to see what happens. What do you think?
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can definitely still sign up, but what bag you get depends on what you enter into your style profile and what’s available. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get to pick this same look, but you might get something else that’s just your style!
COUPON: Use code MSA25 to save 25% off your first month!
Value Breakdown: Ivory Clasp costs $49.00 per month. Since I can’t find exact pricing on this bag, I’ll put the value right on par with what I’d find at TJMaxx for a similar bag.

I don’t get this sub. I find that all their bags look cheap. Not horrible or hideous, but just cheap. Rather than have a collection of cheap bags, I’d rather save the cost of the sub for a few months and purchase a good-quality one.
They are cheap. I hate to say it, but they are. The last one I got, and the first from their own line, was a backpack that was really cute and I loved it. It didn’t LOOK cheap, but whatever was in the straps to give them structure bent, making the straps start to crack and look terrible. But I did love the bag for a while.
I love that color, style, and size. Too bad it doesn’t have “feet” to protect the bottom.
Really like that! I’m particular about purses and that outside pocket for keys and phone is a must-have for me. Love the color too!
Love it! Will be creeping on swap site for this
