Goddess Provisions "Moon Muse" Box Review November 2018
Here's the info card with the theme and product list for the month. Moon Muse is such a beautiful choice for this time of the year when there is a ton of transition happening cosmically and seasonally.
Access Our Eyes Crystal Grid Altar Cloth - Retail Value $22.00
Although this cloth size is referred to as a bandana on the companies site instead of the more expensive altar cloth, this is a really interesting piece. The ink used to print the fabric is infused with selenite, a stone that will make another very dramatic appearance late on in this review! It is a beautiful purple color and the ink is metallic silver. The print is based on sacred geometry and is a nice meditation prompt!
Light Body Creations Moon Light Mist - Estimated Value $16.00 (Buy a 4oz bottle for $33.00)
I really love mediation mists because they also double as pillow/linen mists in my home. This one is full of goodness, such as jasmine, lavender, sage, ylang-ylang, and pepper! The pepper gives this mist a little bit of an edge that I haven't found in other mists so far. It is also moonstone infused which is perfect for the Moon Muse theme of this box.
Arabella Crystals Moonstone Candle - Retail Value $7.95
I was really excited about this candle until I opened the lid. The scent just makes no sense for the moonstone it is named after. I guess I was expecting something with aromatherapy or essential oils but instead it mainly smells like coconut. The scent profile is listed as being rum, vanilla, and coconut. It smells more beachy than cosmic to me. It does have a moonstone inside, but I am not sure this scent is one I would ever burn in my house. I do know someone who loves these types of scents though and plan on gifting it!
The Moon Journal Mini Moon Deck - Retail Value $20.00, Listed Value $17.00
These cards are just stunning. They are each illustrated with one of the 8 different moon phases and have a prompt word that aligns with that time of the lunar cycle. It is a really beautiful set to keep by your bedside or on your vanity to remind you of the changes happening in the sky at night and understand the lunar cycle on a more personal level.
Dreamymoons 2019 Moon Calendar - Listed Value $9.00
I cannot tell you how often I google what phase the moon is in. Sometimes it's from curiosity, other times I am guessing to try and explain a crazy day (hello full moon!). This cute little calendar is the perfect companion for moon gazing and will save me some screentime.
Element Truffles Dark Hot Chocolate 4oz.- Retail Value $12.00, Listed Value $7.00
This is such an interesting combo that actually makes a ton of sense. It is a rich dark chocolate with turmeric! No worries if you don't like that turmeric taste but love the benefits from this superpower spice. It says on the back you can simply mix it with hot water, but I prefer it with almond milk!
Fractalista Moon Phase Selenite - Retail Value $24.95
This was the wow piece for me in this box. I have never seen one of these. Selenite is one of my favorite stones and it was also named after the goddess of the moon, Selene, making it the perfect addition to this month. This piece is gorgeous enough to leave out on my coffee table, and in addition to the stones cleansing powers, it makes a gorgeous conversation starter.
The Verdict: This Goddess Provisions box was really well thought out and had a wonderful variety of things in it. The only real let down was the candle because I feel like the scent makes no sense. The Moon Mist and the Selenite were my favorite pieces and I really appreciated the hot chocolate because it is getting really cold in Pittsburgh this week!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but you can sign up now for the December box here! Also, some past boxes do end up for sale here!
Value Breakdown: The box cost $33.00 with free US shipping, but I estimate that I received about $112.00 worth of value inside. That is really a lot of value for the subscription price! Going by the cost of the box, the average price per item via the subscription box is $4.71.
