Facetory Four September 2018 Mailer

Facetory is a monthly sheet mask facial subscription. The company aims to provide its members with the latest cult faves from the Korean sheet mask trend. Rather than arriving in a box, like the SEVEN LUX subscription, this smaller FOUR-ever Fresh version comes in a cool pouch that has the same awesome design.

This is a review of the FOUR-ever Fresh subscription level ($8.90 per month + free US shipping), which includes 4 curated sheet masks made from traditional fabrics like cotton and cellulose. They also offer a SEVEN LUX subscription level, which includes 7 curated sheet masks with slightly higher-functioning ingredients (think hydrogels and other more sophisticated ingredients).

Facetory also recently launched Your Story Box which is a personalized box offering oily skin, dry skin, and combo skin options. Learn more here!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Facetory Four September 2018 Masks 1

Facetory sends a little info card along with their masks to explain the significance of each formula. This is particularly helpful with masks that don’t have a lot of English on their packaging!

Facetory Four September 2018 H20

Facetory Woah that H2O - Listed Value $5.00

I have to say, I had high expectations for this mask with a list price of $5.00, but it’s a two-step, which is a good start! This starts with a hydrating ampoule in the top of package, then you place the mask overtop for maximum moisturization. Jasmine flower was the main ingredient of the ampoule, and it’s designed to work with the Sodium Hyaluronate in the mask, which is a water-binding ingredient in this product. I found that this moisturized my skin a great deal, and my face was actually on the glowier side after using!

Facetory Four September 2018 Green tree

Botanic Farm Green Tree Mask - Listed Value $2.50

I’m not familiar with this brand of mask, but I was excited to try a green tea variety! It’s supposed to offer protection against oxidation and assist in combating inflammation, but I’m not sure it had a major effect. I liked the smell, it was nice and clean and faintly herbal, but not overly strong, like an intense sencha. Masks are so soothing, and I do like the ritual of using one regularly, so this one definitely fulfilled that relaxation requirement, but I didn’t notice a ton of difference in my skin after using this.

Facetory Four September 2018 Tea Tree

Moksha Dear Tea Tree Mask - Listed Value $3.00

Confession: my skin has not been great this month. I’ve had a few breakouts for the first time in years! I’ve been working on my house a lot lately and have had some setbacks, so I’m sure it’s all stress-related, but I have not been happy with my complexion. This mask contains Centella Asiatica and chamomile flower extract, which is meant to help calm skin, and it seemed like this did that a little.

Facetory Four September 2018 Lavender

NOHJ Herbs Fit Sheet Mask Lavender - Listed Value $3.00

The packaging on this is so awesome - I love how the clear outside plays against the shape of the mask! I’m a big fan of lavender, and I felt this mask was really true to the garden scent, instead of overly fake, as some kinds of beauty products in this scent can be. I also noticed a little bit of citrus, too, I think? One of my favorite scent combos! Lavender is a natural bacteria-killer, so it’s often used to help with breakouts. This mask, I thought, was a little bit more helpful in the clearing-up-my-skin arena. It had a ton of serum and one of my trouble spots looked calmer after using this.

Verdict: I love being introduced to new mask brands and trying new active ingredients. Most of these masks were listed as a fairly high value, especially the Facetory-brand one, but I didn’t find the masks overall to be particularly high-performance - even though they were soothing. As for the $5.00 mask, it was definitely the best of the bunch, but it still didn’t quite seem worth its price tag. All in all, I think it’s worth having a little “me” time delivered right to my door. I like that I can just go right ahead and use the masks and don’t have to worry about actually going out and finding them!

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Sadly no, sign up today for the October box.

Value Breakdown: The box costs a total of $8.90 including shipping. Using the values listed for each mask on the info card, however, I came up with a total value of $14.50 - not too shabby! The average price of each mask via the subscription is $2.23.

I love receiving my face masks each month! Whether they actually do alot for me….I dont know! I too, have had some breakouts this past month….I think being in the south…we have had such major humidity and still hot weather….it hasnt been kind to our skin! So I tried the lavender mask to see if it would help….and I do think it did!!
I do love Facetory! I asked for a change in my shipping date and they were kind to do it!! Will most definitely continue this sub!

I’m glad you’re a fan, Katharyn! I agree – I have a good time with masks no matter what because sometimes I just need a time-out for some self-care ^_^
