October 2018 Bath Bevy "Spooky" Review
This box included an info sheet with details on the products, plus exclusive coupons to the included brands! It also looks like the Bath Bevy info sheet got a small makeover, and I am loving the additional pops of color.
Bath Bevy Spooky Splash Bath Salts – Retail Value $7.95
These bath salts are scented with kaffir lime, Japanese grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon. The overall scent was really refreshing and that is exactly what I needed when I poured half of this jar into my bathtub. The scent and dead sea salts combined to make a really soothing and uplifting bath—I am a fan!
Bare Naked Bath Spellabration Witches Cauldron Bath Bomb
This is a plastic witches cauldron stuffed with bath bomb crumbles that turn your bathtub into your own personal witches brew—aka, it's fantastic. This had a really complex scent of cashmere and vanilla with clementine's, white tea, and exotic fruits blended with golden amber and caramel. Honestly, the end result is what a Lush store smells like (only not that overwhelming), and I absolutely loved it. The gorgeous bath art and great scent made this another winner.
Simply Organico Scared Sheetless Bath Bomb – Retail Value $5.50
Look at this cute little ghost! It has an adorable face and it smells amazing thanks to the apple cinnamon blend. This is made with sweet orange and cinnamon essential oils, it’s cruelty, paraben, and sulfate-free, and it turned my bath water a gorgeous bright blue.
Crescent City Swoon Bubble Truffle 4-Pack
I am no stranger to Crescent City Swoon (they’re local to me!), so I was not surprised to find that I loved this bubble truffle 4-pack. The black truffle is Witches Brew, the green is Rougaru (tobacco and bay leaf), the orange is Jack O Lantern (autumn spice), and the purple is Voodoo Doll (eucalyptus, ginger, mint). I love that each truffle is perfect for one bath with a good amount of bubbles, and the scents are fragrant and so good. I used Rougaru first, which not only filled my bathroom with an amazing fragrance but also gave me a history lesson in Cajun folklore - the Rougaru is a Louisiana legend similar to a werewolf!
LuvMilk Baby Bat Goat’s Milk Lotion, 2 oz – Retail Value $4
This is such a good lotion- it is hydrating and refreshing without being too heavy or greasy, and the Baby Bat scent is fragrant notes of clove with candied violets, marshmallow fluff, and earl grey tea. The end result is a lotion that is a little sweet, a little spicy, and a whole lot of moisture.
Willow Bella Dark Soul Sorbet Bath Truffle – Estimated Value $7.50 (based on similar bath truffles found here)
Right off the bat, I loved the packaging of this bath truffle- it reminded me of a really fancy chocolate truffle! These bath truffles are part bath bomb, part bath melt, and part bubble bar, and the end result was a spooky bath that I could not stop oohing and ahhing over. I used half of this truffle and was surprised to find a black center to the colored truffle, which turned my bathtub an awesome shade of black. This was super hydrating thanks to ingredients like goats milk, coconut milk, and shea butter, and it even created some bubbles for me too!
The Verdict: I think this may be my all-time favorite box from Bath Bevy! I love a good themed box, and Bath Bevy knocked it out of the park with their "Spooky" box. I really appreciate the Crescent City Swoon truffle pack - getting four baths in one is a real treat for me! Honestly, though, everything in this box was stellar and spooky, and I am so excited to see what November has to offer!
