Subscribers fill out a questionnaire when they sign up to let your stylist know what tones of metals you wear, what necklace style you prefer, and any other comments you might want to tell them (like pierced ears or ring size).
When you sign up, you’ll get to answer these questions:
- Which metal tone(s) do you wear? (Gold Only, Silver Only, Mix Gold & Silver, or Surprise Me)
- Which necklace style(s) do you prefer? (Everything Dainty, Bold & Chunky, Long Pendants, or Surprise Me)
I chose Surprise Me for each of these. You can change your preferences anytime by sending customer service an email.
There is also a comment box that you can add any additional info you want them to know. I added that I have multiple piercings in each ear.

Olia Box August 2018 Review
This month’s jewelry includes a necklace and pair of earrings in gold. Let see how they look!
Gold Disk Layered Necklace
My first piece this month is a gold-tone, multi-strand necklace with gold textured disks. It is very similar to last month’s necklace which was also a multi-strand gold style with smaller disks. I don’t mind though since this has a much more bold feel and my mom decided that the previous one looked better on her. 🙂 I like that the texture breaks up the shine and gives it a bot of an antiqued feel. It has a sturdy lobster claw clasp and an extender to adjust the length. I like it paired with this basic crew neck shirt since it doesn’t hit at the exact neckline.
Gold Stud Earrings
These are the perfect sized studs for me! They are big enough to not get lost in my hair but small enough so that they completely fit on my earlobe. The matte gold hexagonal shape coordinates well with the necklace and looks modern and minimal when worn alone. The backs are my favorite style because they are comfortable and secure.
Beaded Adjustable Bracelet
The bracelet that they included for me this month is kinda ho-hum compared to the other pieces. The beads are pretty and sparkly but the stone feels a little out of place. I think I’ll add it to my stack of similar bracelets to make it feel more impactful.
The Verdict: It’s a little strange that Olia Box included such a similar necklace to the one last month. But, they did get back to their norm of pieces that coordinate in style. The earrings are perfect for me and this necklace suits me better than last month’s (plus, my mother is a thief :). I’m not sure of the brands, but compared to prices for similar pieces (at Target.com), I estimate a retail value of $35 for this box. In general, Olia Box delivers value equal to the cost of the box so the draw would really be in the curation of the jewelry if this is your style. I also like that they back up their product with free shipping both ways in case you don’t like what you receive. If you want to try a jewelry box that allows you to pick your style and metal tone, this is a solid option.
