Olia Box July 2018 - Package

Olia Box is a jewelry styling box that sends you 2-3 pieces that complement your style each month. Subscribers fill out a questionnaire when they sign up to let your stylist know what tones of metals you wear, what necklace style you prefer, and any other comments you might want to tell them (like pierced ears or ring size).

When you sign up, you’ll get to answer these questions:

  • Which metal tone(s) do you wear? (Gold Only, Silver Only, Mix Gold & Silver, or Surprise Me)
  • Which necklace style(s) do you prefer? (Everything Dainty, Bold & Chunky, Long Pendants, or Surprise Me)

I chose Surprise Me for each of these. You can change your preferences anytime by sending customer service an email.

There is also a comment box that you can add any additional info you want them to know. I added that I have multiple piercings in each ear.

Olia Box July 2018 Review

This month’s jewelry includes a necklace and pair of earrings in gold. Let see how they look!

Gold Disk Layered Necklace

How shiny is this necklace?! Three of the four strands have polished gold disks that catch light from all different directions. The fourth strand has small beads that add a different texture. The extender gives you about 3 inches of adjustment in length. I can see this being really cute worn with a simple v-neck dress to add some sparkle.

Beaded Hoop Earrings

I’m a little surprised that the earrings don’t coordinate with the necklace (at least for me). They are very different in style and feel much more boho. I love the multi-tone small metal beads and the smokey blues and grays on the larger beads. They are surprisingly light and the length is flattering for how big they are.

Olia Box July 2018 - Worn

So, I wouldn’t wear these together normally but I wanted to show you the contrast. I have the necklace fastened at the shortest length which makes the top strand hit about where a choker would. I’d probably just wear the earring alone or pair them with a super minimal gold necklace.

The Verdict: Olia Box mixed up the styles within the box this month. Typically the items that are included coordinate. I’m liking each item for its own style though and think I’ll get a lot of wear out of both. I’m not sure of the brands, but compared to prices for similar pieces (at Target.com), I estimate a retail value of $35 for this box. In general, Olia Box delivers value equal to the cost of the box so the draw would really be in the curation of the jewelry if this is your style. I also like that they back up their product with free shipping both ways in case you don’t like what you receive. If you want to try a jewelry box that allows you to pick your style and metal tone, this is a solid option.

The Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Olia Box chooses jewelry for you based on your answers to the style choices. You might not get the same items I did, but you may end up with pieces that are even better for you. Sign up now to see what they pick for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $34.99 with free shipping which means that each of the pieces of jewelry in the box has a cost of about $17.50.

What mascara are you wearing in the photos? It looks good and I need a lengthening one

I’m pretty sure this is the Doll 10 IllegalEyes mascara. I’ve really been enjoying it!

I loved the ay they both looked on you together. This fall is all about mix coordinates and patterns and textures that don’t match. So actually it matches very well together.

Tiffany you are so beautiful! I love your hair up in buns like that– literally ten minutes ago before I saw this review I was thinking that I should do my hair like that. If I can make it look a tenth as good as your hair I will be happy.

Also I really like that gold necklace! The earrings aren’t for me, but different strokes for different folks.
