My Zodiac Box “Pisces” Review August 2018

When you first sign up for My Zodiac Box, you’ll answer some preference questions like your zodiac sign (of course), birthday, jewelry colors and sizes, if you have a bathtub, and if you’d like to receive clothing. This means each box will be curated specifically for you!

It comes with a booklet.

The first page has a quote from Dane Rudhyar.

The other page has all of the items featured in the box.

On the back, you’ll find your horoscope for the upcoming month. This rightfully gets people confused, but since this box ships at the end of the month, they give you your horoscope for the next month.

Aquamarine

Reading the info card for aquamarine, I’m learning that it really packs a punch of positive things. One that stands out to me is the release of old patterns. That’s something that I’m actively trying to do lately since I have a lot of negative ones that aren’t serving me very well these days. I’m all about that growth! Speaking of, this stone will aid in intellectual and inner growth and help realize innermost truths. Bring. It. On.

Moon Solid Perfume, 0.5 oz. – Retail Value $25.00

Solid perfumes are great for travel or tossing in your purse since there’s no fear of leakage. This one is called Moon and is handmade with organic sweet almond oil, beeswax, sunflower oil, and rose flower (their site also lists ylang-ylang, lavender, and jasmine). It smells WONDERFUL, let me tell you. Very softly sweet and not overpowering at all. Love this little tin situation!

14k Dipped Flower of the Month Keychain (March-Jonquil) – Retail Value $34.95

This little daffodil birth flower medallion keychain is cool but I’m not sure I’ll use it as I’m not a super flowery person. I don’t think I actually ever knew my birth month flower, so that’s a fun discovery. Alternately, this could be hung on a purse or anywhere as a little charm. It’s just about the size of a nickel but is a brass color instead of silver. It says it’s 24k gold dipped but just looks brass to me. I’m no metals expert.

Zodiac Hoop Art  – Estimated Retail Value $10.00 (linked to similar)

The next item is embroidered hoop art that was handmade by Etsy artist The Crafty Cat Momma. Again, I had no idea what my zodiac constellation looked like so another discovery was made in this box. The hoop is almost 4.5 inches in diameter so this is easy to pop into a spot that feels blank in your home or office. The white stitches are against a dark navy fabric that mimics the night sky. A very unique gift I wasn’t expecting!

Himalayan Salt Candle Holder

Yea buddy! I love getting functional crystals n such in a sub box and I don’t have a pink salt candle holder like this one. The only bummer is that the tea light included did not really fit in it, but I am confident that I can find something else at a pretty low cost. The bad boy will help detoxify your room by pulling pollutants from the environment attached to water molecules (or so the info card says). I will say that one of my fondest moments was laying in a salt room in a spa in Seattle while wearing a robe. I loved it so much that I immediately texted my roommate to tell him I was turning my home office into a salt room. It was truly calming and wonderful. While I never imported pounds and pounds of Himalayan salt to my house, perhaps this hefty 3.5-inch tall and 4-inch in diameter chunk will give me a little bit of that feeling.

The Verdict: My Zodiac Box had some items I didn’t expect to receive but I was especially into the salt candle holder and the solid perfume. It smells so nice!! In addition, I discovered my birth month flower and what my zodiac constellation looks like. Very cool. All in all- I received five items that pertained to my birthday for under $40.00.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The first box you’ll receive is their Welcome Box that will look something like the one I got for April and should ship right away. After that, you will get charged on the 7th of each month and boxes ship around the 27th of each month, so you most likely won’t get it until early the following month.

Coupon – Use YAYMSA to get $5.00 off your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $39.95 + free shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box come to about $7.99 a piece.

  1. This is what I got for the September box

  2. I’m a big fan of this box. They went through some ups and downs when they started out with shipping issues, but it looks like they have finally got all that sorted out. I really look forward to getting the box every month and I’m really happy with everything when I open it. I really loved the salt candle holder this month.

  3. I learned some things from your review too, being as I am a Pisces and did not know my birth flower.

I feel like the idea of a zodiac sign box could be done so cheaply and cheesy, yet this company has done such a great job providing quality, interesting items. Love the salt candle holder.

  4. I like Himalayan salt on beef.
