First I want to thank you for everything that you do as it has been extremely helpful for me & I love how you are honest about things & not just saying something that benefits the companies.
Second my problem with FFF is the fact that only Select members get early access which means only the annual subcribers which is not right because as a seasonal subscriber I actually pay more than the annual subscriber does so that alone should give me more benefits than a yearly subscriber?? I did speak to them about it because honestly it really irked me at first to see that only “SELECT” members get early access to the sale as well as more curated boxes because again I am paying more so I should get the same if not more than the yearly subscribers! It really made me feel like I wasn’t as special or I didn’t mean anything to the company & I shouldn’t feel that way being how much I am paying for the subscription! Anyway like I said I did relay that to FFF & they are going to take what I said into consideration but I just wanted to mention that as it is not a way to do business. You should never make anyone who is paying you for something feel less than its not right!

Sorry, I don’t understand your reasoning. Customers who commit to one season or box at a time, (I think that is seasonal) shell out the most per box. They have flexibility and can start and stop when they choose. Next is annual. They commit for a year at a time pay for a YEAR in ADVANCE, w/ a slight savings per box. As an inticement, to shell out so much money a year in advance those “select” customers get a chance to shop sooner than the seasonal (not the financially committed) ones. It is what it is. Stores offer special sneak or advance shopping and prices routinely. It’s common practice. Nordstrom’s (!!!!) AMC Theaters, Costco, El Pollo Loco, Michael’s, and Utla come to mind. All of those stores give me incentives (translation: super cool stuff,) for spending a certain amount with them. Seems wherever I shop the store wants me to get their card, buy lots of stuff, earn points or levels and qualify for discounts w/special perks. Those who choose not to participate don’t get the perks. It’s your choice. Sometimes I do sometimes I don’t. It’s my choice. And the choice of the business to do whatever they can to stand out, drive customers to shop, and stay in business. Good for them!!! Free enterprise, baby!! I think it’s very creative and I certainly spend way more than I should.

I’m confused. How do I get 1 edit box. I’m an annual subscriber, so I can login and shop now. I see the “extra edit box” that I can add to my cart. Is that how I get 1 edit box? I don’t want 2 edit boxes. I also thought there would be some customization for annual subscribers, but I don’t see that anywhere. All I can see is my old Fall box customization that is now closed. Help! Please.

Site crashed/having trouble refreshing after 2 minutes. I’m not sure why they can’t get it together for these sales as they are causing the problem by driving traffic to the site all at once.

Hi There — I was wondering what the drop length is of the crossbody strap on the purse?

Can someone help me out with terminology clarification- what is an “edit” product? I know they stipulated it was different than regular priced add-ons, but that only seems to mean that these items ship separately. Is it something that was returned by a customer and they’re trying to resell? I only ask because I’ve worked in the retail fashion industry for over 25 years and I have never heard that term. Sale merchandise is usually just overstock of new items that failed to sell through, and the term “editing” usually applies to adjusting volume on wholesale orders. Are these edited products used inventory?

Jacki

It’s just a sale half way between boxes. It works like add-ons, but ships by itself, so you could be subject to shipping charges if you spend less than $25 or ship somewhere other than the lower 48.

Deanne

I think it’s more like ‘curated’ as in products edited to be the best of those they had to choose from, just a FFF way of terming things to try to sound unique.

alana

My assumption (and I could be wrong) was that the “edit” sale consists of item handpicked by the staff/editors. Just that it’s more like “out of all the products that you could buy this fall, we’ve narrowed (edited) it down to these must-haves.” I don’t believe there’s anything wrong with the items.

You bring up a very good point. I never even thought of it before. It’s not returns. I thinks its a made up name like how they came up with “apartmemt pants” in Friends. Guess they cant just say spree or whatever.

Casey Gregory

No. Not used. It’s just another “box”. We just create the whole thing, and pay for it on a certain day at the end of the sale. I guess it’s called edit because you can add and remove any items u want, until you are happy with it, or the sale ends. Whichever is first. Lol

The items in the “Edit” sale are not resale/returned products.
I suspect it’s:
A. Selling items that did not do well during add-ons to reduce inventory.
B. Testing out products to see what people are interested in.
C. Feed the lust (and make some money) that some FFF members have between the regular box sale.
It can be hard to resist, many things have great mark downs. There is also an Editors box available. That box is sometimes shipped to new subscribers when they are in-between the season loop. The Editors box generally has best sellers or favorites from past boxes.

I’m confused by the terminology. I see that they say “edits” are similar to “add ons”, except they will ship separately. When they say “edits”, are they referring to things people have returned? When they say this is a sale on “edits”, is that just a fancy way of saying these are rejects people sent back? I’ve worked in retail fashion sales for over 25 years and never heard that terminology before.

not feeling anything so far… i’m hoping that they don’t add a bunch of grown alchemist stuff because that will be my downfall. i wish for it, yet my wallet cringes.

Yay, I’m so glad nothing is tempting me yet. I always spend way too much on these sales. I also have more than enough stuff to gift for Christmas so I can’t use that excuse to buy.

Wallet is safe unless there’s a bunch of murad and ahava!

You’re definitely in danger!! 😄
I haven’t seen a sale/add-on campaign from them in years that doesn’t have both of those brands.

Since I just spent over $100 in the special 50% sale of Cottage Greenhouse items I am really hoping I can control myself and not but anything in this edit!
