Candy Club September 2018 Review

info cards in envelope front of info cards nutritional info on back of cards

You'll get info cards that describe the candy as well as list the nutritional info on the back. They don't always send all of them. This month I only got info for 2 of 4.

Atkinson's Rainbow Twists

Atkinson's Rainbow Twists, 1.8 oz.

The mystery loose candy this month are fun rainbow colored hard candies. They look awesome and taste just like those rainbow candy canes that show up around the holidays that are fruity instead of minty. While these are "hard" they easily crunch between my teeth and soften a bit as soon as I put them in my mouth. Yum.

Gerrit's Pink Beagles looking down at Gerrit's Pink Beagles

Gerrit's Pink Beagles, 10 oz.

I saw these as a choice and even though I'm a cat person could not pass up the chance to get pink beagle gummy candies. There look to be three different shades of pink here and they all taste super fruity. It was hard for me to land on the flavor but the website reveals that they are black currant. How very!! These are just wonderful.

ALBANESE® SPOOKTACULAR GUMMI looking down at ALBANESE® SPOOKTACULAR GUMMI

Albanese Spooktacular Gummies, 12.6 oz.

I normally steer clear of cloudy gummies but I couldn't resist these fun Halloween-themed ones. There are orange jack-o-lanterns wearing witches hats, purple "black" cats, and green broomsticks bringing my favorite holiday of the year excitement to my mouth. These are quite possibly the softest gummies I have ever had and really sweet and delicious. All of them taste super good to me.

Arway® Dark Chocolate Fall Nonpareils looking down at Arway® Dark Chocolate Fall Nonpareils

Arway Dark Chocolate Fall Nonpareils, 8.9 oz.

OMG these are so cool looking but also so delicious. I didn't think I'd go so crazy for simple dark chocolate wafers coated in fall colored candy sprinkles but man, are these good. It's making me even more excited for fall with the preview of all the leaf colors I will soon get to enjoy!

Verdict: It's really hard for me to choose which candy is my favorite and I loved the seasonal offerings this month but Candy Club's prices recently went up and has made it really hard for me to think it's a good deal. While I loved all of the candies I got, it equaled 33.3 ounces total or 2.08 pounds which doesn't seem like much for nearly $50.00.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You won't get this exact box since you can either choose your candy or have it chosen at random for you and the selection changes all the time.

Value Breakdown: At $48.98 for this box on the month-to-month plan, you're paying about $23.55 per pound of candy.

The beagle gummies are $12.50 for 2.2 lbs
So $3.68 worth.

Dark Chocolate Fall Nonpareils are $19.50 for 5lbs and ifnyou want to go way overcost but stay with the brand Arwats by the pound is $48 so let’s pretend someone would buy the bag for $26.70.

The Albanese Spooktacular Gummies is $2.99 for 1lb. So.. $2.35

And the Atkinson’s Rainbow Twists are $77.68 for a 25lb case so the 1.8 oz has a value of $0.35

Grand value of $33.08… So… $20 for curation of three candies? You better really like them!

Their candy makes Sugarfina seem much more reasonably priced. Them touching candy doesn’t automatically inflate the value to me enough to subscribe to this ever. I’d even avoid this when having my intoxicated online shopping sprees.

That price is crazy!!!!

A full lb of the Albanese spookie gummies is only $2.99 online. Or 5 lbs for 11.99!!

Cher

Their pricing is ludicrous! Who on earth would subscribe to this?
