Pusheen Box Summer 2018 Review

Surfer Pusheen Vinyl Figure
The first thing I get excited about it the vinyl figure that comes in each box. This time, our girl is on a surfboard riding a wave while sporting cool sunglasses! It doesn't get much cuter than this, amirite?
Pusheen Paper Straws
Paper straws have been popular for a while now but are gaining even more momentum because of the attention the harm that plastic straws are doing to the environment. I don't know about you, but I switch to cold brew coffee as soon as it gets above 70 degrees, so I'm in need of some eco-friendly straws when I'm sipping my cold bevvies. There are three different designs in the pack that have five straws each for a total of 15. Pusheen is enjoying an ice cream cone on the yellow one, and appears in her "Pushseenicorn" form on the blue and pinks ones with rainbows, ice cream cones, and gemstones!
Pusheen Drink Float
Pool floats are widely popular in subscription boxes come summer, and smaller drink holder versions also seem to be all the rage. I can't get over how cute the design of this one is! Pusheen is floating on her back with her four little paws facing upwards while her belly has a place to put your can of soda or frosty cocktail as you relax in the pool. I don't partake in public pools or know anyone with one, sadly, so I won't get too much use of it but gosh darn if it isn't super adorbs!
Pusheenicorn Pot
This is the first time I have encountered the elusive "Pusheenicorn"! Here, our furry grey friend has a unicorn horn and a rainbow mane to transform her into an even more magical creature. The pot is made of ceramic and the back of the box shows four different ways to use it. Since her horn has a hole in it, it can be used as a water can or a teapot. If those aren't useful to you, you can just take off the lid and plant a wee succulent inside or simply use as a holder for pens or other small items. I think this is my favorite items of the box... though it's hard to choose!
Pusheen Desk Fan
Perhaps I spoke too soon! I may have another favorite item. I have actually been meaning to buy a desk fan since my office has a few windows and can get hot later in the day. I love that it's shaped like Pusheen and the entire thing has grates at the front (as well as the back) for maximum airflow. It comes with a USB plug, so it can go directly into your computer, or you can plug it into a wall if you have your own adapter (which smartphones commonly use). This little fan delivers quite a nice breeze that is sort of impressive, and it also has an on/off switch at the back so it can be turned off even when plugged in.
Pusheen Water Bottle
While it isn't marked, this tall slender bottle holds a decent 16 ounces of liquid. Pusheenicorn makes another appearance here, eating an ice cream cone, surrounded by pastel colored sprinkles. There's a pink flexible plastic strap to easily carry around or latch on to something and the yellow cap offers a surprisingly tight seal. Though I can see this loosely wiggling around in a larger car cup holder, it's still too cute not to use.
Pusheen Tank Top
Another thing that Pusheen Box always includes is some sort of seasonal wearable item. For summer, a tank top is a clear choice. In past reviews, I've mentioned that the sizing seems very "unisex" meaning the medium I received is quite large on me and fits more like a "men's" medium. If you don't like wearing things oversized, I'd suggest sizing down at least one size. I'm pretty petite on top and could have done with a small. The tank has a very summery scene on it that features Pusheen, Stormy, and Pip having a nice day at the beach with a pale yellow sandy bottom and aqua sky top (complete with clouds, sun, and birds. The three of them are enjoying frozen treats and are each in patch form that has been sewn onto the tank. The back of the tank is a solid aqua color.
Pusheen Plush
There is also always a plush included in every Pusheen Box. This summery one features her excitedly floating in a round striped innertube. I can picture her in a lazy river and think "What a brave kitty to love the water so much!". Her fur is extremely soft material that makes me wanna cuddle up and the inner tube is made of a mint, pink, and white nylon. I love seeing her tiny little back paws dangling below, along with her striped tail. They always nail the details!
Verdict: This summer's Pusheen Box was so much fun to go through and discover! Their packaging is always super giftable if there are items you won't use, and the amount of detail and quality put into each one is really great, in my opinion. All of the items are also exclusive, so you can't find them anywhere else. This month, my favorites are the desk fan and pusheenicorn pot, but I found most of them useful, adorable, or both. The floaty is the only real miss for me, but I shouldn't have a problem finding it a nice new home.
