August 2018 Mini Monthly Box Of Awesome For Dogs Review

The mini Pet Treat version included 4 items in August – 2 treats, a toy, and something for the humans.

Let’s go!

Flip Flop Rope Toy For Dogs – Value $3-5 based on Groupon deal

This month’s toy is a study rope flip flop.

It actually looks pretty durable – but our dog isn’t a strong chewer.

He’s never been into rope toys – so it wasn’t a surprise that he hardly played with this one.

Jiminy’s Chewing Training Treats – Value $2-3 on Amazon

The first pack of treats is a small one – almost sample size – and they’re cricket treats!

Buckles didn’t seem to care that these were made from crickets – he loved them! These were also a great size for training.

Healthy Dogma Grannie’s Apple Recipe Crisps – Value $5

The second treat came in a bigger bag. These are perfect for Buckles as they are soy, corn, and wheat free treats.

He was much more excited for the bigger bag of treats than anything else.

He was really into these – and we’re currently using these for little office treats. These are a big win.

Can Koozie – Value $2-3?

The last item is for the human in your dog’s life – a Pet Treater can koozie!

Verdict: The toy was a big miss this month, but Buckles seemed to really like both treats – and he can be picky! At the price point, it’s alright to have an item be a miss in the box – as long as Buckles enjoys the treats, we’re usually happy.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Items vary from shipment to shipment, so you’re not guaranteed the same items as seen here.

COUPON – Not at this time.

  1. This was a disappointing box for Bam Bam. He likes and expects babies {little plush animals} from this company and the flip flop was a no go. He simply wasn’t interested. I know it is preference but it is what it is. He Loved the crickets, I loved the koozie. The treats are kind of big for him and once the air hits them they are hard to break up. Again my problem.

  2. Buckles Looks darling. Even if he’s gained a little weight. Little meatball.

    • He doesn’t look like he has gained any weight to me. I wish I could say the same 🙂

      • Lol, that was cute. To me he looks just a little hefty. Not much. I was thinking Buckles must smell good with Liz trying everything. It rubs off on Buckles heheee We should call Buckles our MSA Mascot- 💄Beauty Puff Buckles. 💅🏼💄

  3. Buckles! So brave eating treats made out of crickets! Good boy!

  4. Rope toys are a terrible thing to send in a box like this. They require extremely close supervision, and to be replaced as soon as they start to fray, because dogs will chew off pieces of fiber that can get tangled in their intestines. I know people whose dogs have either needed incredibly expensive vet visits and surgery or have died because of eating things like rope. And rope toys are no safer, even if they are cute.
