Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!
Trunk Club is a Nordstrom company, and they send similar brands that range in the $75-300 range. In the style profile, you can choose your preferred price range for each category (ie. $50-100, $100-200, or $200+)
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Trunk Club Plus Clothing July 2018 Review
So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works. When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected several items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! There is also an option to allow your stylist to send a few surprise pieces.
This packet was included in my trunk.
The front of the enclosed booklet now has instructions!
Inside is a note from my stylist, Sydney. It's pretty brief this month, haha! That's because we spent quite a bit of time chatting online when she was preparing my trunk. I like how accessible my stylist is.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep.
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
Madelina Clog by Sole Society - Cost to keep $99.95
It's been a long time since I had a good pair of clogs, and I kind of like these! The leather upper is really soft, and the rivets look very cool. Plus I definitely like being three inches taller!
Hollywood Sandal by Rockport Cobb Hill - Cost to keep $109.95
I really like these sandals, too! The ankle strap has a velcro closure on the outside and the entire shoe has a zipper on the inside. I like the embossed leather. Also, the footbed has great cushioning! I'm just not sure how comfortable they would be to wear for several hours.
Rose Queen Vegan Leather Crossbody Bag by Urban Organics - Cost to keep $78
(Not available on Nordstrom.com)
I love this purse! This is totally my style. I like the fringe so much, and the design in the vegan leather is awesome! I could not get a great picture of the inside of the purse, but it has one zipper pocket and one slit pocket. You can see me wearing this in one of the pictures below.
Tie Front Satin Top by Lucky Brand - Cost to keep $69.50
I usually love pretty much everything from Lucky Brand, but I'm not wild about this top. It has a great feel to it, but there's something wrong with the tie at the bottom. It just doesn't look right. If I tighten it, it tends to roll up under the shirt, if that makes any sense. I might have to pass on this one.
Floral Palazzo Pants by Glamorous - Cost to keep $89 (currently on sale for $59.63)
These pants, on the other hand, are awesome! I love the color and the print so much! They are a wee bit long, but the great news is that Nordstrom does free hemming! So I can just run them over to Nordstrom and get that taken care of. These are really unusual in that they have sort of a sheer outer layer over a polyester lining. I love them! Here's a close-up of the print:
Flouncy Lace-Up Tee by Sejour - Cost to keep $59
This cotton knit tee is super comfortable and soft. I am not sure about the plunging neckline or the side ruffle, though. I also don't know how flattering it is...
Corine Denim Shorts by Liverpool Jeans Company - Cost to keep $59
I have to be honest, I tend to spend most of the summer in jorts! These are pretty cute, too! They are just the right length, and I like the cuff. They are just a wee bit too tight, and the low spandex content means there is not a lot of stretch to them, unfortunately.
High Waist Cutoff Shorts by Good American - Cost to keep $149
These little red shorts are so cute! They are teeny, though! They are a blend of cotton, polyester, and elastane. They feel amazing, and the small part of me that they cover looks better than usual, but wow. I can't see paying this much for a pair of cutoff jean shorts!
Floral Maxi Shirtdress by Michel Studio - Cost to keep $95 (currently on sale for $63.65)
This 100% rayon dress is just simple and lovely. It's comfortable and modest, with just a slit up the front to show a tiny bit of leg. It's also fully lined. I like it a lot! I just don't know about the price.
Floral Tiered Sleeve Off the Shoulder Dress by Gabby Skye - Cost to keep $108
Wow, what a fancy dress! There's a lot going on here. I think overall it is very pretty and flattering. It's a poly/spandex blend, but the cut is such that the spandex is not engaged anywhere. It also does not feel like a synthetic fabric, it feels good. I like the print and the colors, and even the ruffled sleeves! My only issue, and it is a deal breaker, is that the shoulder straps are too far out to the sides. If I had really well defined, non-sloping shoulders these might work, but I can imagine these would drive me crazy and I would be pulling them up all day in this dress.
The Verdict: I am a big fan of Trunk Club! I spent a little time chatting with my stylist as she was preparing my trunk this month, and I think it paid off! I finally got two pairs of shoes I like that fit from Trunk Club. I also really liked the purse and the palazzo pants. I think Trunk Club is a little on the spendy side, but it's still loads of fun to try all the pieces!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Trunk Club curates its boxes based on each individual's preferences as well as what's available. Value Breakdown: This box cost $25 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the 10 items inside is $916.40 (less with sale prices). The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep anything, the $25 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase. Thatís an average $91.64 an item, which is on par with the brands included.
