Now, on to the items!

Elemis Superfood Cleansing Wash – 30ml Value $5

Elemis is a quality, pricey skincare brand, so I'm always happy to see any product from them in a box! This cleanser was gentle, didn't strip my skin of moisture, and I loved the green/herbal scent. (I thought I detected basil, but I don't see it in the ingredient list.)

Vita Liberata Fabulous Self Tanning Gradual Lotion – 50 ml Value $7.50

This sunless tanner gave me a natural looking tan but it was SUBTLE and VERY GRADUAL. Personally, with self-tanners, they wear off in a matter of days, so I want to start off pretty tan. This isn't a great fit for me, but if you are looking for a more of a subtle-glow self-tanner, I recommend it.

Also bonus points for the formula being ingredient-conscious!

Studio 10 Liquid Foil i-Radiance Metallic Shadow - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $20?

I'm not sure if this is a soon-to-be-released product, but I can't find it online anywhere besides sites like eBay. So, I'm estimating on value based on other Studio 10 products. It's also frustrating that I can't find this online because the eyeshadow didn't come in a box, and there is no ingredient info on the tube.

Those issues aside, I was generally impressed with the formula. It makes applying glitter eyeshadow very easy with minimal fallout. (Make sure to use a primer, though!) It was easy to blend, too.

Here it is swatched:

MÁDARA SOS Hydra Moisture+Radiance Mask – 12.5 ml Value $10.10

Another ingredient-conscious skincare item! This is a hydrating mask (think thick moisturizer), that you apply on your skin and remove after 15-20 minutes. I was really pleased with the results - I feel like it was the equivalent of an overnight moisturizing mask in only 20 minutes!

Christophe Robin Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts – 30 ml Value $10.13

This is a “Cleansing Volumizing Paste,” AKA shampoo!

It’s designed for fine hair, but I used it on medium hair and still got amazing (almost too amazing) results. You massage it into your scalp like you would with regular shampoo, rinse, then conditioner, etc. (I used about half this container on shoulder length hair, and I’m thinking I could have used half of that.)

After blow drying my hair, I could definitely see a difference in volume, then I went to sleep. (This is typically the time when I lose all hair volume and I wake up to flat hair.) Not the case with this shampoo! I actually woke up to MORE volume! Or as my husband puts it, “Your hair looks….wider.”

Real Chemistry Environmental Rescue Essential Day Cream – 10 ml Value $6.80

A resealable foil packet?! Yes!! (So perfect for travel, and easy to make sure you get every last drop of the formula out of the sample!)

This formula has a light, subtle scent. (I couldn't detect it after a few minutes.) It's a hydrating rich cream, but it absorbs quickly without any greasy finish. I'm a fan!

The Ritual of Dao Body Cream by Rituals – 70 ml Value $10

This body lotion is paraben-free and has a white lotus scent. Personally, the scent was a little too strong for me to use as a whole body lotion, but again, this is another lotion that doesn't give your skin a greasy finish - I appreciate that!

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Value $5

I love getting this mini mag with the box - it's a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $69.53 not counting the magazine. I think that's great for a $19 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $16 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.) Plus, great sizes of products this month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? (This page will let you know what box is currently available.)

Coupon – No coupons at this time.

Value Breakdown: At $19 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Elemis: $1.37
  • Vita Liberata: $2.05
  • Studio 10: $5.46
  • SOS Mask: $2.76
  • Christophe Robin: $2.77
  • Real Chemistry: $1.86

I’ve been reading previous reviews of LF to see if i like the stuff they sent in a 1 yr period and realized that the christophe robin shampoo/paste was a repeat from the september 2017 box — and so is the review of the shampoo!

No biggie though, i’ve been reviewing another box that sent 4 eyeliners in 6 months, two of which are the same, and that’s a big no no for me. i could always use more shampoo.

I used the Madara mask and left it on, since t says you can leave it or rinse. I really like it enough to buy it.

I’m having extreme deja vu here, I’m 99% sure I’ve read the ‘your hair looks…wider’ before because it was the funniest thing ever…if it’s a copy- paste from the first time you ever tried it I don’t blame you! ANywhoo this was an okay box for me, and I already got Julys which is inexplicably brown and black weird summer colors, and it’s ‘okay’ too but I still like this subscription it has unexpected gems all the time.

I remember the wider hair comment too from when I first found this site. So…probably early 2015. 😁

This was one of the best Look Fantastic boxes of the year thus far, IMO.

I need to have a second look in mine. Got it and put it in a drawer after last month’s disappointing box.
Thanks for the great review!!! 😉

I agree – really good box. Too bad this month’s fell short. I’d sub for a year if they’d keep doing boxes like this one, but it seems to be hit or miss.

I dreaded this month’s so much. I asked them 3 times to cancel, and they say I have a yearly subscription, but nope, I pay every month, so it’s not a yearly subscription by definition.

I finally put in a non-usable card ( valid number, 0 balance) to make them leave me alone!

Wow! You should all be on the payroll for Christophe Robin – I just ordered this from Blue Mercury after reading your reviews! I have the flattest fine hair on earth.

I am so impressed with the subscription. And I personally thought that this months box was just so beautiful with the cloud like cover and then blue box base. The previous boxes that I’ve gotten from them I just don’t have the heart to throw away because the actual box is just always so beautiful and unique. I feel that this is one of the most reasonable priced subscriptions out there for the products that you receive. Even though I have received some products that I cannot personally use, which really happebs in every subscription now and then, but I am just so blown away with what they provide every single month. I personally am on product overload but I just cannot bring myself to cancel this specific subscription. And thank you for explaining what the Christophe Robin product is and how to use it ! I have extremely fine here and I’m always skeptical to try any new products because normally when I do I’m disappointed as it weighs down my hair and makes it look awful. And yes I to think of Winnie the Pooh when I see this brand name! My absolute favorite Disney character growing up and even still to this day is Winnie The Pooh. And I’m so excited for the new movie coming out I watch the trailer over and over again on my phone !

I use that Christophe Robin product a couple times a week and love it! It thoroughly cleans any product out of your hair and gives amazing volume. I have a lot of fine-medium hair that’s wavy and easily frizzes. If I don’t want as much volume, I use another smoothing shampoo after this and then condition. And…you only need about a tsp of this because it’s very concentrated. This brand also has a salt scrub but this is better, IMO.

I have fine hair. Usually cut short. I use a dime size or less and get a full lather. It smells good and leaves me with volume. A bit harsh on my color though. So good for many uses for me.

Every time I get a product with that name I think of Winnie the Pooh

Same Rebecca! 🙂 And that makes me think of my mom. ❤️

Anyone else read Christophe Robin as Christopher Robin in a Winnie the Pooh voice?
