Now, on to the items!

Kerastase Reflection Bain Chromatique Sulfate Free Shampoo – 80 ml Value $9.60

Kerastase is a high-end haircare brand I'm always happy to sample through subscription boxes! This shampoo is designed to help protect color-treated hair from fading. My hair is highlighted, so this is helpful, and it smells good, too. (The sample size is good, too - just under 3 ounces.)

Filorga UV Bronze After Sun – 50 ml Value $8.63

This is a post-suntanning product designed to help soothe your skin after sun exposure. It's a gel/cream hybrid, so it's moisturizing, but it absorbs so quickly - very refreshing! I don't tan in the sun (spray self-tanner only for me), and I'm not digging the powdery/floral fragrance with this product, so this is a miss for me.

SVR Laboratoires SEBIACLEAR Gel Moussant Cleanser – 10 ml Value $.75

This gel cleanser is free of soap, alcohol, and parabens. It was gentle on my skin, did a pretty good job of removing makeup, and didn't dry out my skin either. It has added fragrance but I liked it - it reminded me of grass/fresh inspired perfumes.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser – 1 oz Value $4

OK, I was a little surprised to see two cleansers in this box, but I guess subscription boxes are all about sampling and figuring out what is best for you, so it's the battle of the cleansers in this box!

Personally, I prefer this one over the previous cleanser. The creamy formula feels great, it's gentle, and no fragrance added!

LANCER Omega Hydrating Oil – 5 ml Value $12.50

This hydrating oil is designed to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, boost moisture, and leave skin with a dewy finish. While I can't say I've noticed any fine line/wrinkle differences yet, the hydration and dewy finish promises are legit! This oil feels wonderful on my skin, too!

Doucce Highlighter Mono – Retail Value $14

If you aren't familiar, Doucce makes individual pans that you can add to any magnetized Z-palette. (Including their own cases.)

Here are the magnets:

The formula is shimmery, pigmented, and easy to blend. I'd recommend this to anyone who finds highlighters intimidating because the powder formula is easy to start small and build.

Here it is swatched:

And this box includes the latest issue of  Elle UK Magazine:

Value $5

I love getting this mini mag with the box - it's a fun extra, and the size is great for throwing in your purse, too.

The Verdict: This month's box has a value of about $49.48 not counting the magazine.

I think that's great for a $19 beauty box shipped from overseas! (And you can get the $16 a box annual price without having to pay the full amount up front, too.) Plus, great sizes of products this month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? (This page will let you know what box is currently available.)

Coupon – For a limited time, use coupon code WELCOMEBOX to get a FREE Welcome Box when you sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription to Look Fantastic Beauty Box!

Value Breakdown: At $19 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Kerastase: $3.67
  • Filorga: $3.14
  • SVR: $.29
  • First Aid Beauty: $1.53
  • Lancer: $4.80
  • Doucce: $5.37

Usually I love this box. This month was ok but not exciting and I ended up giving it all away.

I just added the Look Fantastic Beauty Box to my followed boxes and at the top of the page it says it’s canceled. It appears grayed out on my followed boxes page as well. I just ordered the darn thing and got shipping confirmation. What gives?

Does anybody know what the free box is?

A previous post mentioned it is April’s box.

I am subscribed to the 12 month sub., so at $16 I consider it a great value. I am never disappointed. What I can’t use I put up for a swap. I don’t see myself cancelling any time soon!

Hi Claire, do you know what they do if you sign up for the year but cancel after 6 months? Do they end up charging you the difference? I keep considering this one, at $16, but worry if I end up not liking it enough to keep it a year, what would happen. I just want to make sure how it would get handled. Thanks for any input!

If you sign up for a fixed term subscription (3, 6 or 12 month) you won’t be able to cancel/end before the term is up. Most you can do or they can do for you is turn off auto renew so that your subscription doesn’t go passed your term. If you do turn off auto renew before your term is up, you will still be charged monthly and receive boxes for the remainder of your term. So when some reviewers say you can cancel any time, it’s not what it sounds like. I learned this the hard way and now I’m stuck with this subscription until Feb2019. I say stuck because the last few boxes have been disappointing for me.

The shampoo is $17 on their website

Unlike most this month, I actually like this box 🤷 I have oily skin but I’ve been doing some research & have been wanting to try using a facial oil to give myself a facial massage before bed. So getting the Lancer oil is a good way to decide if this is a good thing for my skin. I’ve been wanting to try FAB cleansers for a while now too so although I’m loyal to my fave Kate Somerville Eradikate Cleanser, I’ll keep this FAB in the shower too see how it works for me 😊. I also swatched the highlighter and it’s very pretty 😍 I’m pale and don’t like too much highlighter so this works for me too 😉. +shampoo in a travel size for color treated hair? I’m all for it! The rest I’ll prolly put up for sale on Mercari but all in all I’m usually happy with my annual box sub. For $16/month you really can’t go too wrong… ❤️

This was a boring box to begin with, but I kept my sub for the Lancer oil. My box arrived with the Lancer missing altogether! I emailed the customer service immediately, no response at all. Time to stop wasting my money. Sub canceled.

Try calling them. I had better luck with that. I also emailed their parent company with copies of previous communications and they promptly resolved the situation.

I love the Lancet oil. I would’ve bought the box just for the oil. I put in on before bed and my skin is nice and hydrated in the morning. This was the only product I’ve actually used from the whole box!

I got the FAB cleanser in another box and after a couple of months, it went from a cream to runny.

I totally agree. The Black and gold box was more exciting than the contents this month. Doucce makeup is a total miss for me. Hope next month is way better.

How excruciatingly boring!

I second that!

I got this boring box. Yawner for sure. I’m not using any of the products.
