Enchanted Crystal: Crystal of the Month July 2018 Review

letter from adam

First, you'll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal.

Onsidian Wand info sheet

Next, there's an info sheet all about the featured Crystal of the Month: Obsidian.

Obsidian Wand

Obsidian Wand

What a breathtakingly gorgeous stone! I immediately held this up to the light and not one part of it was translucent. Getting all sorts of raw crystals and rocks in the mail is fun, but I also just adore getting something polished and shaped like this wand. It makes for a stunning piece in my crystal altar!

another view of Obsidian Wand

The info sheet first and foremost lets me know that technically, obsidian is a rock, not a crystal. It's created by the rapid cooling of lava and was used to make sharp weapons waaaaay back in the day.

Metaphorically speaking, obsidian essentially helps cleanse and clarify your mind, repel negativity, and remove old traumas or emotional blockage. It's highly reflective surface allows you to see yourself clearly and promote growth which makes it a great stone to meditate with.

bag of bonus crystals and minerals

As always, there is a bag of bonus crystals or minerals included with every package.

Dendritic Agate

Dendritic Agate

The first thing I noticed about this stone (besides its dark blueish grey and white coloring) is how light it is! I haven't seen many stones quite like this one as it has spots and some branch-like formations in it. It's associated with abundance in one's life and has a grounding energy.

Carnelian

Carnelian

I'm not familiar with this beautiful honey-colored stone, but I'm impressed with its subtle color variations. This stone is all about self-confidence and courage. This is a good one to tuck into your pocket before an important meetup or performance.

Petalite

Petalite

I've received petalite a couple other times before, always as a bonus crystal. It has a similar look to quartz or even selenite and helps you feel safe and secure. It contains lithium which helps balance emotions and energies.

Verdict: I received a gorgeous obsidian wand from Enchanted Crystal this month, along with two other specimens and a small gang of petalite. I love the dark mirrored surface of the wand and will proudly display it with my other crystals and rocks!

Has anyone else tried this box? It’s really hard to sort out the reviews on cratejoy. Some people complain of horrible to nonexistent CS. Others write glowing things. It’s hard to imagine one company doing both, (and it really reminds me of another company on cratejoy that definitely does write a lot of their own 5-star reviews.) Would like to hear from others about their experiences.

I get this sub and like it so far – I’ve only received 2 months at this point and I got it when it was on sale for Mother’s Day. I will say that I do not get the same crystals as have been reviewed here – this month my bonus crystals were the same but I got a candle crystal instead of the obsidian wand. Last month, everything was different from the MSA review. I think I got the sub for $11 and change and am pretty happy so far. The bonus crystals are a decent size and the main crystal is well worth the $11.

Kyla

Marne, where’d you get your crystal altar? Any recommendations?

Hey Kyla! I actually got mine at a local shop called Juju here in Pittsburgh. It was made by someone locally but it doesn’t look like she has an online shop. I’d check Etsy, it looks like there are many of all sizes offered in various shops! I like the triangular ones best which is what I have. 🙂

You can make your own using any shelf or table. I use a four foot shelf with 4 tiers for all my crystals and other trinkets.
