Baby Booth Box July 2018 Review

The theme for this month is a Houston, we have a baby and features a gender-neutral space scene. I appreciate that they always provide a picture reference for the suggested setup.

Dermal Acerola Collagen Essence Mask – Buy 10 for $10

Each box includes a little gift for mom. This month I received this Korean sheet mask. I can always appreciate a good sheet mask and this one has fantastic reviews on Amazon, but I’m still a little hesitant to use it since it contains methylparaben.

In our first box, we received this milestone blanket valued at $19.99. Usually, everything centers around this blanket that is numbered 1-12 with the phrases weeks and months at the bottom, but we didn’t need to use it since our setup was a bit different this month.

Mini Cloud Pillow – Estimated Value $12.99 (based on a similar item found here)

This little cloud pillow is adorable and so incredibly soft! Is it too cheesy to say it really does feel like a cloud? It also has a little loop with a suction cup attached to it so you can stick it to baby’s window or mirror in the car for traveling.

Inflatable Space Shuttle – Buy 12 for $18.99

This inflatable space shuttle is perfect for our little astronaut theme! It’s a decent size too, which makes for a great toy.

Space Wall Tapestry – Estimated Value $13 (based on a similar tapestry found here)

This galaxy wall tapestry was included for us to use as the backdrop for our space theme. I wasn’t sure about it when I took it out of the box, but I thought it looked great in the photos.

Astronaut Romper and Hat Set – Retail Value $16.99

This set is so cute and perfect for the theme this month! It’s a simple romper and hat that looks like a little astronaut suit. It has snaps at the shoulders and at the legs so it was super easy to get the baby into it and will be easy to change diapers in. It’s actually a bit big on my little guy, but I think this is one of those outfits that will look fine on any size baby. While it fits like pants on my boy, they look a little like shorts on the baby in the suggested setup photo who is older. We’ll definitely be wearing this regularly for p.j.’s!

I love how our photos turned out! The blanket looks great, especially in contrast to the white suit, cloud, and space shuttle. The only thing that I can’t help but feel is missing, is a little something to mark his age with. I attempted to incorporate my milestone blanket into the shot, but it didn’t look quite right and sort of took away from the outer space look. I was definitely happy with this theme though!

Verdict:  This was a super cute Baby Booth Box this month. I love the way my little guy looks in his spacesuit! While the box was a little light this month, especially compared to all the little props we received last month, I think the items they sent were perfect for the theme. That little cloud pillow is adorable and my big kids are loving playing with the space shuttle! I really wish there had been something we could use to mark the age of our baby with though since we didn’t use our milestone blanket.

As for value, I estimate about $44.56 worth of value in all of the items we received and the box cost us $29.98/month ($24.99 plus $4.99 shipping). That seems like a great value to me and I’m really happy with this month’s photo shoot!

  1. Seriously you’re little guy is so adorable!!! He makes the cutest little astronaut I’ve ever seen! I love everything with this subscription box (especially this month) from the concept to the provided materials! I wish they offered this back when my now “not so little” man was little. Now I’m patiently waiting for one of my friends or family to have a bundle of joy so that I can gift them this subscription! Thank you for your review and sharing the cuteness of your little one!

  2. OMGeeeeeee.. that first picture!! Looking super happy to explore the universe! How adorbz!!

  3. What women could loom at these photos and not get baby fever? So flippin’ cute!

  4. So adorable~~~!!!

  5. For the month marker: maybe some number stickers that fit on the spaceship so it looks like it’s the spaceship’s identifier but it’s actually your baby’s age…?

The only other things I could think of are cotton balls shaped into the age (they could look like cloud puffs) or some digital looking numbers on something – an alien space craft cut out perhaps?

    • Those are all great ideas! 😊 Maybe they should consider including a set of the little circle month stickers with the milestone blanket in the first box so that they are always covered if they decide to do something a little different like this!

  6. This is my favorite setup that I have seen from this subscription! Too cute!

    • Right? So simple, but cute!
