Stitch Fix started offering a styling service for plus sizes, and I couldn't be happier. I signed up on the very first day, of course!

Stitch Fix is a monthly clothing and styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when youíd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing June 2018 Review

This is the invoice that was included in my package. It lists out the items I received and the cost to keep each. I think a 25% discount for keeping everything is pretty generous!

This really fun sheet of cards was also included. It has a note from my stylist in the upper left corner. I really appreciate the personalization that goes into her selections! All the other cards are styling ideas for the items in my box. How clever!

Jonna Coin Cluster Necklace by Bancroft

Jonna Coin Cluster Necklace by Bancroft - Cost to Keep $28

I LOVE this necklace! It's just gorgeous! It's nice and heavy, so the coins always lie straight down and don't get scattered or stick to my skin. I think it looks really cool and different, plus the price is right. I think I have to keep this!

Devon Chambray Dress by Faith + Zoe

Devon Chambray Dress by Faith + Zoe - Cost to Keep $68

What a romantic dress! I don't think I've had a dress with smocking on the bodice like this since I was a little girl. It's a good length, too, which I always appreciate in a maxi dress as a short person. I just don't know if it's all that flattering, so I'm kind of on the fence about this one.

Riley Printed Maxi Skirt by Gilli - Cost to Keep $48

Stitch Fix loves to send me synthetic blend printed maxi skirts, and guess what? That's just fine with me. This one is flattering and comfy, and it's just the right length. Plus I love the navy and white combination in a boho pattern! It's usually such a preppy combination, so this piece is really different and interesting!

Krystie Eyelet Detail Top by Market & Spruce - Cost to Keep $78

This blouse is so pretty! It's a very well made crisp cotton with so many lovely eyelet details! I think it's also pretty flattering on me. Does it make me look like a pirate though? What is wrong with me that every frilly white blouse makes me self-conscious about looking like a pirate?

Durwood Ruched Side Top by Market & Spruce

Durwood Ruched Side Top by Market & Spruce - Cost to Keep $44

Okay, so I had my husband take about a thousand pictures of me in this top, and this was honest to goodness the best one. It's not the size, it's just a fact that side ruching is not flattering on me. It has never been. It's a super soft cotton knit blend and a pretty color. I think ruching is really stylish and can be very sexy on the right body. Unfortunately, this has to go back because it's just not right for my body.

The Verdict: I am a big fan of Stitch Fix! Ths month's box was another great one! I love the necklace and skirt! The ruched top was the only piece that really didn't work for me, but I like trying new things nonetheless. They can't all be winners! I am enjoying my subscription to Stitch Fix so far, and I think their prices are among the most reasonable. I can't wait for my next Fix!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $266. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I'd end up spending $179.50 for the whole box. Ultimately, that's a savings of about 33%. The average cost per piece in this box is $53.20.

I like the dress on you, very flattering. The skirt was ok too. The white shirt just makes you look boxy and bigger then you are in a kinda unflattering way, is cute though but not right for your body type. The tee is too clingy, accents every bump. Can’t tell about the necklace. I know you like the pirate shirt and maybe it would be flattering with a colored belt boused just a little. Just to much white and way too boxy.

I enjoy reading your reviews, as a xl/1x woman I know the struggle as well to find things that flatter without making us look like a house

I think it all looks pretty good. Blue dress is a definite keeper. I think that t-shirt looks kinda sexy actually. It really shows your shape, especially from the side. I’d keep it.

I admit my first thought when I saw the blouse was “But I don’t wanna be a pirate!” 😀 But as others have said it would def look better with some slim pants!

I LOVE that necklace. So cool! Not a fan of the maxi. It feels very early 2000’s to me. I really like the white blouse but as others have said, not with the maxi. It would look great with some tailored pants.

You need that maxi dress in your life, girl! It looks amazing on you! The skirt is cute but not with that blouse. The blouse may be fine with something else but it’s too billowy for the cut of that skirt.
P. S. I miss voting!

Thanks Kim!

Love the blue maxi dress and the skirt! But ick snay the pirate blouse and top with ruching- I’ve seen you in many that are really flattering on you.

Yeah, where’s the voting option? I liked that idea!

Anna

Thanks Trisha! I think voting will be back when they work out some technical glitches.

That smocked dress!! If it is at all comfortable and fits in with your life, GET IT! I also think it looks amazing on you!

Agreed, agreed, agreed! Though I think it needs to be hemmed; it looks like it might trip you up!

Wow, thanks y’all!

Michelle

KEEP THE BLUE DRESS and yes I am shouting! It is the cutest thing I have seen you in since you started reviewing clothes.

How come no more voting???

Anna

Awesome, thanks Michelle! There was some sort of glitch, but voting should be back soon, I think.

the first dress is very cute on you now if it had a higher hemline it would be perfect

I like StitchFix, but it seems like the clothes on their website and Instagram are a lot cuter than what they actually send.

No to the maxi dress.

You are wrong! That maxi dress looks amazing on her.

I feel like the white shirt just has too much volume, like it’s swallowing you up. If the sleeves weren’t so poufy, it would be OK. And I can’t do tops with ruching either! Not so sure about maxi either–maybe it’s the color? Like if it was in black, it would be great. Or in that color, but a shorter dress? Love the necklace and skirt though!

Thanks Jill!

Great fix for you, you should really keep it all given the discount. Just save the T-shirt for fall and wear it under a jacket or cardigan.
