Peaches and Petals May 2018 Box Review

May suggestion of riding your bike more exclusive text deals sign up

Peaches and Petals doesn't come with an info card about the items, but I did receive this card with 2 codes for Pet Treater and 13 Deals which are other companies by Jammin' Butter (who owns Peaches & Petals).

Let's see the glorious randomness that came this month!

IronMan Sunglasses other side of IronMan Sunglasses detail of IronMan Sunglasses

IronMan "Function" Sunglasses - Retail Value $19.99

Ok, there is definitely a target audience for these IronMan Triathlon branded wraparound sunglasses, but I am not it. I'm picky and vain so I require really stylin' sunnies for the summer and these have me feeling like I'm in The Matrix. I have a feeling these are really good for actual triathletes though because they fit snuggly on your face to shield your eyes from the sun and mud (I'm just assuming there is mud in a triathlon) while you are sweatin' and hustlin' to the next checkpoint. These have metal frames with rubberized arms and are apparently shatter-resistant.

Body Verde Age Correcting Moisturizer Body Verde Age Correcting Moisturizer with lid off

Body Verde Age Correcting Moisturizer, 2 oz. - Retail Value $17.99

Another thing I'm snobby about is my skin care. Since I review a lot of serums, cleansers, and moisturizers, many of them natural, I've become a snob with what I put on my face. This brand doesn't seem as fancy as the ones I'm already using, but I'll be darned if it doesn't smell heavenly due to the lavender oil within. This whipped moisturizer is light but does have a slightly greasy feel to it. I won't be putting it on my face but I'll use it on my rougher skin areas like my elbows come winter time.

Sweet Dreams Journal and Eye Mask Set - Retail Value $7.99

Hey hey! Anna got this same journal and eye mask set in her Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter this month. We can be twinsies. The set first comes with an eye mask that has a rather cute gold and purple design on it with black trim. The back side of it that rests against your face says "shh..I'm having a very good dream". While this isn't the most comfortable eye mask I've come across, it gets the job done. The other item in the set is a "Sweet Dreams Dream Journal" that's gold with fuzzy lavender lettering on the front. There's a notch on the top and bottom of the book jacket so you have a place to stow your eye mask during the day as well. Inside it's totally blank so you can write, draw pictures, or decorate however you need to interpret your dreams. I don't think this set is for me, but I'll pass it to someone perhaps a bit younger.

Umbra Wallflower Wall Decor packaging Umbra Wallflower Wall Decor close up of Umbra Wallflower Wall Decor hardware for Umbra Wallflower Wall Decor

Umbra Wallflower Wall Decor in Silver - Estimated Retail Value $11.65 (linked to similar)

Ah yes, I am very familiar with Umbra. They make a ton of really cute household decorations and items from things like this to garbage cans. This wall decor set comes with 10 plastic metallic silver flowers in various sizes that you can hang up (with included hardware) any way you'd like. If you have a blank wall that needs a little something-something, these will add some depth and shimmer. They're slightly flexible but still sturdy so you could even use this to hold necklaces if you so desire.

The Verdict: Peaches and Petals included four random items from their warehouse for me to enjoy. While none of them were quite right for me except maybe the moisturizer, this box has a great value of $57.62. You just gotta consider if $19.99 is worth the mystery for you!

Gosh, Peaches and Petals seems to get worse every time. I’m glad I canceled my subscription BEFORE this box.

Isn’t it suppose to be centered around some sort of theme? Currently I don’t get this box, but from the above card pictured I would of guessed that theme maybe was biking or something around that, but these items don’t seem to fit that or really any type of theme (except maybe “randomness” tehehe).

So bizarre! I got 2 other completely diff items in May. Silver mirrored flat sunnies and eye makeup brush kit. I did receive the lotion and dream kit.

Great review!! This stuff looks like it came from a Walmart clearance bin. Certainly not worth $20.

So I looked up other reviews for May’s box since I got different items than the ones MSA got and I wanted to see the other variations out there. It’s weird, but every other review I’ve found for this month’s box got the same mix I did, which was pretty similar, except we got a spa kit with a ry operated brush with interchangeable heads for feet and face.

Battery operated* brush with interchangeable heads for feet and face in place of the wall decorating kit.

Not sure what happened to my comment but I must have messed up when I posed it!

I snorted coffee out of my nose when I read “Peaches and Petals included four random items from their warehouse for me to enjoy.” Nailed it. It’s like someone sent my great aunt to the dollar store on payday.

My sunglasses were in the ‘cute’ category, aqua plastic and reflecting lenses. Good for a tween or someone stuck in the 80s. I loved the fragrance of the cream! I’m using it for my hands. And I got a set of makeup brushes instead of the wall decor.

It’s often a fun box, but for $20, it’s the first thing to go in a budget cut.

Wow that’s a lot of variance!

Can anyone recommend a good quality eye mask? I’m going to be doing some international travel with a long flight, major time change, and shared lodging. I’ve heard the eye masks with the eye indents are superior to those without, and I know from experience I am picky a out the fit of the band around my head. It feels risky to just pick one off amazon… any favorites out there?
