Good Paper Handmade Father’s Day Card – Estimated Value $6.00

I couldn’t find this specific design online, but I estimated the value based on a Mother’s Day card GlobeIn carries from the same makers. This card is handcrafted by women in the Phillippines. The handmade paper has a great texture to it. This sporty design is super cute, too! Love that foam finger!

Matr Boomie Against the Grain Gentleman’s Bar Soap, 7 oz. – Retail Value $13.00

This soap has an awesome, refreshing-yet-earthy aroma. It’s the kind of thing I wouldn’t mind keeping for myself! The soap is made from a fair trade company in India that helps support women and minorities.

Credit Card Holder

I couldn’t find any information about the brand behind this card holder, nor could I find any similar items on the GlobeIn site shop to reference for value. It’s a simple, kind of rustic card holder with a deep chocolate brown color and a boho pattern pressed into the trim. I think it’s real leather, though I can’t tell for sure. Either way, it’d be a sophisticated pairing for a sincere card and a nice Father’s Day brunch!

Mustache Nose Glasses Holder – Retail Value $20.00

This handsome nose has a slot in the back that holds a pair of glasses. When you set them in their holder, the lenses complete the face started by this nose and mustache! It’s a clever idea and a good gift for a dad who’s always misplacing their glasses. The magnetic mustache is there just for fun, but you can flip it up (so it curls up on the ends), turn it down (more like a handlebar ‘stache), or leave it off if that’s more your style.

UPDATE: Some commenters asked for photos of the glasses holder with glasses in it. Here’s how it looks!

The Verdict: I could see my dad getting use out of the cardholder, enjoying the greeting card (though it’s a little more sporty than either of us typically go), and getting a chuckle out of the glasses holder. I might hang onto that beautifully scented soap for myself, though! I do think that I could find comparable items at department stores around town for a bit less, but the artisan, fair-trade aspect makes paying a little extra feel more worth it.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box is still available for purchase!

Value Breakdown: I couldn’t find a value for the cardholder, but the three other items have an estimated retail value of $39.00. That means that the cardholder must be worth about $11.00 to make the value match the price of the box. Another way to look at it is that the average price of each item, purchased via the box, is $12.50.

Would your dad or favorite guy appreciate the gifts in this “Thanks Dad” box?

How cute! Could you post a picture of that glasses holder with glasses on it? Such a neat idea! Terrific review!

Great suggestion! We’ll take a picture and get it added to the review ASAP. In the meantime, here’s the non-mustached version holding glasses: https://www.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/2017/03/globein-artisan-subscription-unwind-box-review-march-2017.html

Hope that helps a bit! 🙂

Thanks so much! It’s much more adorable with the glasses than I even imagined!

I was thinking the same thing. I would love to see a pair of glasses on that cutie. Surely you have a pair of sunglasses from one of your boxes that you can use if you don’t wear prescription.
