Facetory SEVEN LUX May 2018 Review
This month's box came with a 'how to' card to show you exactly how you should be using each mask, in general. As always, there is a monthly information card that outlines each mask from the box! There is a little description so you know exactly how to use each mask. The card does a great job in listing out key ingredients and benefits. This is super helpful!
Faith in Face "I Want Perfect Makeup" Mask - Retail Value $3.50
Like it says in the name, this mask is great to use in the morning before applying your makeup. It tightens, moisturizes, reduces pores, and smooths your skin making it the perfect canvas for makeup. I used it in the morning and saw a big difference in how my foundation went on, it was so smooth! Green grape extract provides an exfoliation while locking in moisture, and the apple and lavender extract are rich in vitamins that provide anti-aging and pore reduction.
Feelxo Glowing Marigold Mask - Retail Value $4.50
This mask had a strong floral scent that was a bit overpowering for me so I only kept it on for 10 minutes. The marigold extract provides your skin with a big collagen boost, collagen is that magic ingredient that firms and strengthens your skin. Even after only 10 minutes, I noticed my skin looked more plump and fresh. Honey and celery extract protect your skin from free radicals while helping with any acne spots you might currently have.
Cosmetea Green Tea, Soothing Moisture Mask - Retail Value $4.00
The main ingredient here is green tea, which helps to moisturize your skin while helping it look firm. I will say that this mask left my skin feeling a bit tight after removing it and I had some light redness. After reading a bit more about this mask, it looks like the witch hazel extract might have caused the tightness. It is a natural astringent that removes excess oils. My skin is not oily, it is actually very dry, so while this mask is meant to moisturize, I noticed the opposite for my skin type. Always a learning experience to see what works best with your skin!
Lyajin Her Story Aqua Mask Pack - Retail Value $4.00
I think this was my favorite mask of the month! It had a cooling effect once I put it on and had a ton of serum on it that I was able to rub into my neck and chest. The bamboo water helps to strengthen the collagen in your skin. Another ingredient, sea water, is meant to hydrate and soothe your skin. I spend most of my days outside with my son so my skin takes a beating in the sun and seems to be rather dry from all of the sunscreens. I used this mask in the evening and I woke to a whole new me! My skin was extremely smooth but I had this full appearance that I swear took at least 3 years off of my skin's appearance. Can I use this every week?!
Wonjin Effect WithBee Honey Bomb Mask - Retail Value $3.20, Listed Value $4.00
I love a multi-step mask! I started by applying the honey milk all over my face, which helps with acne. Next, I applied the ampoule which is basically a moisturizer. The last time was the mask! This mask was all about moisturizing and soothing any current irritations my skin might be going through. Like I said before, my skin is very dry so this was exactly what I needed. After a long day outside, I was so excited to use this mask that made me feel a little more pampered.
NO:HJ Milky Glow Calming Moisture Mask - Retail Value $3.50
Another moisturizing mask, its like they knew exactly what my skin needed! I used this mask at night to allow the serums to really soak into my skin and I woke to a glow that even my husband noticed. The milk extract helps to retain lost moisture while lightening any hyperpigmentation your skin might have. The blueberry fruit extract provides a protection over your skin from sun damage while also providing anti-aging benefits. I am tempted to buy more of this mask to have around for myself and my husband to use since it has so many benefits like sun protection and anti-aging, something I am always thinking about now that I am in my 30s.
Urban City Azulene Aquaring Mask - Retail Value $3.00, Listed Value $4.00
I love the graphic on this mask's packaging, so retro! The soybean ferment extract helps to reduce lines and wrinkles while providing elasticity. I used this mask in the evening and I noticed that my skin was exfoliating a bit the next morning in the shower. That must have been from the willow bark extract which aims to promote cleaner pores. My skin looked extremely fresh and clean with a light plumpness that I really enjoy seeing first thing in the morning!
Verdict: Facetory was a winner for May! I loved seeing so many masks that were meant to boost the collagen in my skin, leaving me with fuller and smoothing skin. It was great to see that the curation of masks were not just about moisturizing, they each also had anti-aging or exfoliating ingredients. This was the perfect box for the start of the warmer weather when we are all in the sun a bit too often.
