This sub is getting ridiculous. If u look back on this site the spoilers and box reveals are coming out later and later every month. Yesterday Ricky’s put up an IG story showing all the boxes they packed. It looked like they’re hand packing, hand stacking and hand shipping them. Each month billing & shipping happens later and later. Now the price increase and a box with at least 2 drugstore priced items? I’m like wtf? This might be a cancel for me. I usually give sub boxes 3 months. Last month was my 1st, this is my 2nd but idk if I want to deal with this again in June. It’s annoying.

I do hate that. This month will be my first box. I was sent an email- second week of May you will get shipping info- tomorrow ends that second week and no shipping info. This plus the price raise…. This box had better be amazing.

Idk how other sub boxes pack theirs, but I’m sure that a sub box that can’t keep up with current demand, one that has a small number of ppl hand packing the boxes, one that is clearly suffering under the weight if the number of subscribers they already have, I’m sure that sub doesn’t need to be letting more ppl subscribe until they can deal with their existing issues. On Instagram ppl are complaining abt trying to contact them and never heating back. They try every option available but no responses and even on IG the responses are rare and not very nice. Ppl are begging for info such as when will I be charged (since the usual date for doing it has come and gone), when will I know I’m off the waitlist (since Ricky’s took their money last month these ppl should get a May box, but Ricky’s is incommunicado so far since the month began) and other info/questions that the answers should be easily answered or at least readily available to where a Ricky’s rep can say go to this site for that info, but there’s nothing. Just silence from cult crushes. It doesnt feel right nor is it the nice thing to do. It’s not good customer relations or customer service. They’re stretched too thin bc they grew too fast, but instead of working to make things right they seem to be doing everything wrong. It’s just not right.
Tl;Dr – Even if everyone hand packs their boxes every month only Cult Crushes is making customers suffer for their lack of planning/staffing/knowing what they’re doing. We don’t have these issues with ipsy, boxy, Sephora play, etc bc they have their crap together. Meanwhile Ricky’s is adding more ppl to their sub but they can’t even properly service the customers that they have now. Last month’s palette debacle is a perfect example.

This is my first box. But I gonna cancel if it is not good. I thought it is $11. But it was $14.
I subscribe boxycharm and ipsy also. It is too much. I don’t use a lot of things. I have to cut some.

The $14 dollar cost is supposed to start in June. You may not be getting the May box but the June box as your first month. They raised the price last month and sent an email letting everyone know. I am canceling in June since it isn’t worth the increase to me.

I’m not sure I’m getting any box. I was sent an email…second week of May we will have shipping info to you!….second week of May has come and gone and so has my email I sent asking about when they ship because of this email they sent me. Crickets is what I’m getting from them. Ugh. Please don’t be as bad at service as #AllureBeautyBox !

I signed up for this box for $11 because I was on the waiting list but I think I may cancel after. Taking a look at what was in April’s box- snap-on nails, neon shadows- I’m not sure this box is targeted to my tastes (I’m 58 with no daughters or granddaughters, and my one niece has very high end makeup tastes). Unless the rest of the box is amazing enough for me to want to spend another $3 on it, and includes products I know I will use, this will be a one-and-done for me.

I find that for 40 and above, like ourselves, Ricky’s is a little young when I looked at what they sent. They also send tools and full size skin care as well as cosmetics and sometimes little jewelry. I’m getting the box for the Ricky Care products basically. If those aren’t wha I expect, this will be my first and last box. BoxyCharm, I got for the first time this month after much research, absolutely blew me away! My box was filled with full sized primer, brushes for the eye, the brows, the face…and it had a very interesting, and I’ll say very traditional, Pot of eyeliner that is beautiful and the product goes on easily over a wrinkled eyelid! If you don’t like this box, I recommend BoxyCharm. The extra couple of bucks are absolutely worth it!

Yeah, boxycharm, even though it’s $21, is a better deal imo than Ricky’s for several reasons. Boxy gives us 4 to 5 full sized products every month garaunteed. Ricky’s makes no such promise neither on the number of products nor the size of the products. Also boxy includes several items usable by a wide variety of ppl while Ricky’s gives items that fewer ppl can or will use. Boxy is just $7 per than Ricky’s and the customer svc at boxycharm is excellent while the c.s. at Ricky’s is nothing but excuses and nightmares. If I could only do 1 I would pick boxy every time.

It kind of shocks me when I read this, what your actually expecting for 11 dollars some of you complaining that the first spoiler is only worth 5 dollars and some change. I mean ever if the whole box is only worth say 35 wow what a savings and free shipping too! Some of you are spoiled rotten!

Wow – not excited. Here we go again. Last month it was fake nails most ppl can’t or won’t use and a foil packet sample. Now we’re starting off with a $5 product and the other “spoiler” we have is the hint of a JCat product which will also be on the low end price wise. This all while they’re increasing the price and not communicating with us. Fantastic.

Rickys its not the most interesting spoiler at $4.95? Im on the edge of CXL, however I’m hoping its not like Popsugar when they went to sesonal boxes for $75.00 a total disaster and glad I CXL them. This increase is like 28% from the $11.00 to $14.00 for Ricky’s up comming June box. I just hope the boxes get better for the extra $3.00 per month? If not I’m out. Love Ricky’s but I feel there should not of been an increase for their loyal current members. Boxycharm is my favorite and has never dissapointed for the price. Fun fit fab is showing great promise and value as well these days. Soooo many beauty boxes to choose from.

That’s confusing! Pawpaw is something completely different in US. Also first ingredient is petrolatum, yuck.

Petrolatum has been used since 1850 and is used to heal scapes and burns on the otter layer of the skin as it doesn’t penetrate.

Pawpaw is papaya this is a strawberry flavor/color version, normal one is a light yellow color thats just pawpaw/papaya
