POPSUGAR Must Have is a lifestyle subscription box for women. Each season they send a mix of items from categories like beauty, fashion, food, fitness, and home.

(POPSUGAR recently switched from monthly to quarterly, and this is their first ever quarterly box!)

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: POPSUGAR Must Have

The Cost: $75 a box

The Products: “Must Have” items for women selected by POPSUGAR editors. (Fitness, Home, Beauty, Food, and more)

Check out all of my POPSUGAR Must Have reviews and the Women’s Subscription Box Directory!

Each box comes with a booklet detailing the items included, and a letter from Lisa Sugar:

This box is centered around the theme of self-care and a spa day at home.

And POPSUGAR also included a card with coupons for the brands featured in the box:

Now, on to the items!

Eberjey Wrap Robe – Retail Value $88

This robe was available in S/M (up to size 8) and L/XL (Size 10-18) and XXL (Size 20 and up). The fabric is 100% Rayon, and so very soft. Here is the S/M on:

I love the navy piping accent with the pale pink color. The robe has an inner tie to keep it in place, too:

As you can tell from the pictures, this fabric is somewhat sheer. Perfect for a summer weather robe!

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum – Value $85

This serum is designed to “fight the look of dullness, dark spots, and discolorations, while instantly increasing brightness, radiance, and luminosity.” The cream formula has a light citrus scent (which I love), and it instantly helped give my skin a boost of hydration.

I’ve sampled this before thanks to a few other subscription boxes, and after using it for months I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin – I’m happy to have more!

Mela Artisans Concha Round Box – Retail Value $60

This wooden round box features a stunning mother of pearl lid:

I was hoping POPSUGAR would send a home item in this spa/self-care themed box, and they delivered! I love that this would work in the bathroom or really any other room in the house!

The bowl measures about 5 inches in diameter. Here is a picture to give you a better sense of scale:

This is a quality piece – definitely one of my favorites in the box.

Lele Sadoughi Circle Garland Earrings – Retail Value $98

These earrings measure about 1/2″ diameter and 3″ long.

These earrings are inspired by confetti (so pretty) and they are made from natural stone and resin, connected by 14K gold plated rings.

Here is Marne modeling them for us!

(One thing to call out – I believe everyone is getting these earrings, there is no non-pierced ear version of the box.)

Beauty by POPSUGAR Be the Boss Lip Gloss – Retail Value $18

POPSUGAR recently launched a new beauty line, so I was expecting to see something from their brand in a future box!

This lip gloss formula is free of parabens, mineral oils, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, and gluten. Plus it is vegan and cruelty-free!

The formula is pretty much everything I want in a gloss. A sheer color, a natural looking shine, and not too sticky. (And bonus points for having a Crème Brulee flavor!)

Here it is swatched:

Also, I always appreciate getting lippies in summer boxes that are OK for hot weather in my purse – no melting lipstick issues here.

(The box also included an info card about the new Beauty by POPSUGAR line.)

Sphynx 3 in 1 Portable Razor – Retail Value $14.99

This is a portable razor designed to go in your car, purse, gym bag, etc. – whenever you might need to shave and not have a shower + your regular razor and shaving cream ready!

Here’s how to use it. First, spray the area you need to shave with water:

(You’ll need to fill this with water when you first get it.)

Next, rotate the center dial to the moisturizing shave bar and apply it to the area you’ve sprayed with water:

Lastly, click to the razor side, and you’re good to shave:

And there’s an additional backup razor blade, too:

FYI – this isn’t designed to replace your regular razor blade, instead, it’s intended for quick touch ups and on the go shaving. I think it’s such a smart idea, and I love the design, too. Plus I’ve started the process of laser hair removal, so I no longer have to shave every day (life changing!) and this is perfect for touchups when needed!

Ahmad Tea Fruit & Herb Selection – Retail Value $4.50

As a several-cups-a-day tea drinker, I’m always happy to see in a subscription box. (Not sure if I’m in the minority on that, though!)

These are all-natural caffeine-free blends.

Peppermint & Lemon
Peppermint leaf, Lemon peel, Natural lemon flavor

Chamomile & Lemongrass
Chamomile leaf, Lemongrass

Lemon & Ginger
Lemon peels, Ginger, Apple, Lemongrass, Quinces, Hibiscus

Detox
Dandelion, Fennel, Birch leaves, Ginger, Rosemary, Peppermint, Nettle, Sweet blackberry leaves

As a lover of lemongrass and peppermint flavor teas, all these worked for me. I think the Peppermint & Lemon is my favorite, though.

Mrs. Meyer’s Lemon Verbena Bar Soap – Retail Value $3.99

I use Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-Surface Cleaners daily, so it was about time I tried their soap.

This gives you a creamy lather and works for hands and body. Just like their cleaning products, the scent is pretty strong with this soap.

Mrs. Meyer’s Lavender Hand Sanitizer – Retail Value $3.49

This item is a Special Extra from POPSUGAR and Mrs. Meyer’s. (It is not counted toward the total retail value of the box.)

I always have a hand sanitizer in my purse, and I may switch to this brand after sampling it. The spray goes on light and absorbs almost immediately. (And I love the lavender scent.)

Propel Watermelon Beverage Mix – 10 packets Retail Value $1.98

This item is a Special Extra from POPSUGAR and Propel. (It is not counted toward the total retail value of the box.)

This mix is sugar-free (it’s made with sucralose), zero-calorie, and designed to add electrolytes and vitamins to your water. I liked the flavor (think Watermelon Jolly Ranchers), and I typically buy electrolyte water for heavy-sweating workouts, so I’ll add these to the mix as an alternative.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $372.48 (not counting the special extras). I think the value here is great, and what I would hope for in a $75 box from POPSUGAR. To be honest, when I first saw everything in the box, I wasn’t sure how all the items all fit the self-care/spa theme of the box. (The Lipgloss and earrings both seem like Girls Night Out theme to me). But I actually love everything, so I’m OK with the theme not connecting to every item perfectly. (Plus the robe, serum, and earrings are from high-end brands and each worth more than the cost of the entire box!)

I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect from the first $75 POPSUGAR Box, and it seems like a good balance between the past monthly boxes, and the Limited Edition boxes. A mix of some lower price point brands that would have been at home in the monthly box, and some pricey luxe brands that we’d only see in the Limited Edition boxes.

I’m still sad that we don’t get POPSUGAR every month, but I’m loving this box, and I’m already excited to see what will be in the fall box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today?  No, right now it looks like the Fall box will be your first box when you sign up. When you click “Subscribe Now” on the POPSUGAR site, the box your subscription will start with will be highlighted.

Coupon – Use coupon code MUSTHAVE5 to save $5

  • Serum: $17.11
  • Earrings: $19.73
  • Bowl with Lid: $12.08
  • Lip Gloss: $3.62

  1. What an odd mix of items! Happy Rebel did a relax at home box a few months ago (still available for purchase on their website I think) and it was much more well put together IMO. Even though the cost was a little higher I would still much prefer that one over this mess.

  2. I was going to subscribe to popsugar but the summer box sold out before I could- I really liked what was in some of the previous monthly or limited edition boxes. After seeing this I am quite relieved that I didn’t, not going to lie. I don’t have any use for a summer robe. I do like the earring style/color but it is too long for me. The concha box is kinda cute and I would use the razor. But I don’t need brightening serum, and the rest seems like filler that I can get for super cheap at the grocery store. The items don’t seem curated or special in this box. I also haven’t been impressed at all with the popsugar must have text deals.

  3. Wow, it looks like a great usable box! The Mela Artisans Concha Round Box is beautiful. If anyone would like to swap I would be interested.

  4. This box is so me! I love the earrings 😍😍😍 I was against the quartily change, but I’m so happy with this.

    • Love this too! Im super excited for all of it.

Im like eberjey robe?? For real. Awesome!!
I see them at anthropologie. So luxe. Im old timey and wear a robe over my pjs if I leave my room. So. Im happy that its sheer. But. Yeah. Not good for all robe scenarios. But. I love robes. I admit that. Its probably a weird quirk.

Those earrings. Are so cool and casual for summer. Im like picturing a blue summery floatie maxi dress. And casual wedges. And those earrings.
And i dont get a lot of boxes. So totally thrilled to get the Sunday Riley.

I even really like the shell bowl. Its cool and summery with clean lines and a nod to beach.

      • I feel ya on the robe situation. I seriously have at least 6+. I always say I need to pare down (especially since we’ll be moving once our house is built) but I always tell myself “but this one’s fluffy, and this one is the same color so it can go but ummm, it’s not fluffy and is a different kind of soft so maybe I need to keep it….”. You get the gist. 😂

  5. I am definitely the minority, but I like this box(albeit the earrings are horrible). I didn’t order it in time, but I definitely wanted it for the Sunday Riley, since I use all her products. And the robe wasn’t a terrible addition either.

  6. I really like this box as everything is usable for me. And yes, even the earrings. I have 2 weddings to go to this summer and I think I’ll shorten them to maybe 3 circles and they will go with whatever I’m wearing.. I have dark hair so I think they’ll be complimentary. But I can also understand people not liking them, they are bit… something of a statement.

  7. This is not what I expected. I thought they’d really knock it out of the park with the first box, just like they did way back when with the very first PS box. Unfortunately, all I can think of when I see this box is that FabFitFun does it much better and for much less money. It makes me sad though, because it means I really can’t trust this box without full spoilers again.

    • I completely agree! Loving the monthly boxes, I was expecting an awesome box filled with up to date, trendy, and fun stuff. Definitely NOT worth the 75.00. I’ve been getting Popsugar me boxes for years and loved each and every one. I’m bummed that I’m going to cancel my membership. Does anyone recommend a similar monthly box. This really sucks!! That had it so right and the cost was perfect. 😖

  8. This box is ok. It’s a bit more, quality wise, than the monthly boxes. Right now I’m really mourning the loss of the LE boxes. I’ve always loved the LE boxes, especially this past fall and winter. This definitely falls short of some of the previous summer boxes. At the different price point, that’s to be expected, but this is still a disappointment.

  9. Definitely glad I cancelled right before the last monthly box. I thought about resubscribing when they switched to quarterly but I am so disappointed by all of the items. Really thought the items would be more unique with the quarterly set up.

  10. I usually skip the Summer edition PSLE’s because they tend not to appeal to me. So this isn’t a complete disappointment (since I was prepared). I’ve been subscribed forever and didn’t want to cancel. I’m in for Fall and Winter for sure since I usually love them. Maybe next year I’ll skip Summer… I’m just finding it difficult to break up with what has been one of my favorite subscription boxes for years.

  11. For those bemoaning the loss of the monthly box, look no further than these comments as to why they stopped it. Dang, you people are picky. This is a perfectly fine box, worth five times the amount paid. Expectations have gotten too high now and I suspect there really is no pleasing some people.

    • Well. Be that as it may-you see it however you see it (bemoaning, etc) for all the subscribers that paid $75 and the highest rv item is a pair if earrings for pierced ears-and how would you feel if your ears weren’t pierced? I think psmh should’ve let subscribers at least choose earrings that were for/for not ears that were pierced. That’s what I’m saying. Oh yeah-and I do think they are very taste specific. And it just happens that it’s NOT my taste. But other than the earrings, I like everything else. I’ve been excited for the robe from the beginning. And the SR as well. Each person is allowed to have their own opinion. I’m just saying….

      • Yep, I appreciate everyone’s point of view. For those who love the box , great. I don’t think this is a 75 dollar box, nor do I feel it is in keeping with the theme. The RVs are blatantly inflated and the quality isn’t there. I will say I’m likely jaded with subs at this point as it seems general quality is on the decline and the market is so glutted. My excitement is waning in general. Plus, totally agree summer boxes are typically not the best of the bunch. Love fall ❤️

      • I don’t have pierced ears, so I understand that frustration. I always give earrings away. I still think people are being too picky & perhaps shouldn’t be getting sub boxes in the first place. They are blind buys, after all.

      • Fab Fit Fun charges $35 less than Popsugar and they give members way better products as well as the opportunity to customize their box with some items

    • I like it but I’m not super picky to begin with. I love the surprise and getting things i normally wouldn’t consider (or purchase at price tags like the Sunday Riley has). But that’s just my personality to begin with. I’m a glass half-full kind of girl. 🙂 But we are all different for a myriad of reasons.

      • Same here. I buy for the surprise of it all. I’m not mad at any of it, although I’d prefer the Sunday Riley not be in it simply because I just got one in allure box. Other than that, which isn’t a biggie, I like it. The bowl is beautiful, the earrings aren’t the type I’d typically buy, so they’ll help me get out of my comfort zone. When buying them full price I always buy smaller ones, but in a box I quite like getting statement earrings. I liked the soap/sanitizer because they’re useful, razor is something I’d never ever buy but I like the idea of it and will use it. I drink hot tea from time to time and my 13 yo likes it. Robe is nice and soft and Alabama gets humid in the spring/summer/beginning of fall, so it’ll be handy. Lip gloss meh but my daughter might use it more than I would since it’s very neutral and a gloss, and she knows I won’t let her wear anything more than that. Thirteen year olds, am I right?! All in all I’m not mad at this box. 😀

    • For me, it’s not about being picky. We were promised boxes based on the LE boxes which in part, they used to justify the cost increase (I always bought the LE boxes so I was stoked). This box doesn’t hit the mark there at all. Other than the robe, dish and SR, this box could pass for an Allure or Glossybox (I love those boxes too, but they are nowhere near the $75 price tag). The tea feels like it should be a special extra not part of a $75 box. The earrings certainly don’t look luxe (like items from LE boxes do) and are so overpriced it’s laughable. For $98 they could have hit this box out of the park by including a D.L. & Co. candle, a Tatcha product or another luxe spa/bath item. Just saying……

      • Sure, other than $233, or 79% of the $372 RV (for the robe, SR, and dish), this could be Allure or Glossybox. Math much?

  12. For the most part, I have enjoyed Popsugar’s curation over the years. Most of the boxes felt special or featured something that was new to me. This box just feels kind of haphazard and a little cheap. Maybe I will be more impressed when I see the items in person, but as of now, it’s kind of underwhelming. The Sunday Riley is the only thing that is keeping me from total disappointment.

  13. So glad that I cancelled before this shipped, but sad that this is lack luster. The only things I liked were the soap and razor. I expected more splash for their first box. Maybe the next will be good to woo us back.

  14. Got my box today. No robe included and a little note to say b/c I ordered in the second round for the xxl, I won’t get the robe until end of June. I ordered in the first round popsugar and now I have to wait two months? Ugh! For sure unsubscribing at this pricing.

    • Same! Just got my box and it didn’t include my xxl robe. I ordered within minutes of the first email that was sent out, so it’s a complete lie that I ordered in the second round. Ugh.

      • Yup me too, I ordered the very first day it opened, clearly not the second round. Obviously something went wrong and rather than take the responsibility, they flipped it so it sounded like we were late to order!

  15. Ok popsugar, listen up. What happened? We used to have so many fun times together. Things have changed. It’s not me, it’s you. . .

No but seriously, how do you need a travel razor on a spa day that is apparently in your own home because they gave you a robe. . .

    • Mamo-that’s what I thought too!! Why include a travel razor if it’s an at-home spa day?!?! LOL. No sense. No sense at all!
And yea I’m allergic to tea. It stinks but true. LOL who’s going to swap for my tea?!

  16. My thought was… where is the amazing seeet or salty item? I was sure they were going to step up their game further in that category. That was the biggest letdown of the box for me. I love popsugar food finds. And I can’t believe of the 131 comments on here that I’m the only one that is thinking this.

    • Popsugar had the BEST sancks/food items. I wish they did a mini box of food items only. Im sure it will be much better than the amazon ones.

  17. Wait, what? What a letdown Popsugar!
Those are the ugliest earrings I have ever seen and a $98 value is a joke.
The robe is nice but $80 for this box is so disappointing.

  18. It’s an OKAY box, but nothing mind blowing. I guess I was just hoping they’d really *bring it* given the changeover from monthly. This would be a GREAT monthly box. But to wait a full quarter and & $75? Eh. FabFitFun is probably their biggest competitor and somehow delivers an incredulous experience for half the price. So, I was expecting more.

It also feels like a lot of little fillers between the tea, soap, sanitizer, razor, Propel stuff, etc. I don’t mind that IF it’s amongst some really high quality pieces.

    Needs better curation.

  19. Soooo happy I CXL after they took away the monthly boxes and definitly dodged the bullet. This box looks like a thrift store find for about 5 bucks. The only worth to this box was the SR moisturizer, however a $15. Sub box beat PS to it. The robe is so shear and those earings (Wow! Really) gag! I didnt wear those in the 80’s and hell to the NO not now, however they make a perfect gag gift. Id rather of paid $75. to all of you that have entertained and made me laugh hysterically…..A comedy show I didn’t have to pay a dime for. Priceless!

  20. I seem to be in the minority but I like the box. Not the earrings, which are hideous, but the rest of it. I’m quite pleasantly surprised with it overall.

  21. I really miss the monthly box!!! I’ve been with PS since box #2 & always bought the LE Spring/Summer/Resort boxes. I was really hoping the quarterly Summer box would be more “Summer”. Bummed about the Summer LE being gone too. I hate the earrings, especially since I don’t have pierced ears. Meh, on the rest. I feel like summer is gone and it hasn’t even started. I’m not looking forward to the next box in Fall, but I had a bunch of credits left. I’m pretty sure this is the end of my PS sub–after my credits run out. FFF here I come.

  22. I was worried that I would be underwhelmed at 75$. Too many misses for me. The only items I like are the bowl and the razor, and I would never pay 75$ for those. I would rather have smaller priced items and feel I wasted a small amount of money than larger priced item and waste a larger amount of money.

  23. I love the earrings. Just my personal style.

    But I cancelled.

No wonder they held back on spoilers.

For $86 the value just isn’t there for me.

  24. It’s just…. fine. I mean, sure. The value is there. I’ll use the robe (and was lucky enough to get my size) serum, box and extras (the razor is actually a super cool thing to keep in my desk). The earrings are… not my style… but might get use for something like a music festival. Maybe. I’m semi-shocked at their RV. The box just seems to lack any and all “wow” factor for me. The best part of the sub has been the unexpected finds and things I didn’t know I needed or wanted. This is just… fine. If it’s not enough to make me excited after waiting months for it, I think it’s time to say buh-bye to a subscription that’s only earning a “meh” these days.

  25. So the earrings were ugly (or at least WAY too long) but everything else is so practical!! The FFF box “seemed” more exciting, but was extremely unpractical. I would use everything in this box and would have been very grateful to receive.

  26. So glad that I canceled, the robe, did it did me! Nothing in that box was exciting to me except the earrings! Hopefully they will sell them in the PSMV text! LOL, if the boxes get better maybe I will sign back up before the fall box comes out!

  27. I wanted to see if I was having a knee jerk reaction last night. I wasn’t. Actually dislike this box even more today. The robe is basically barely there non descript fabric with a tie. The box says 5 bucks at World Market. The earrings have an insultingly high RV and they isolate a huge amount of subscribers. I’ll give the Sunday Riley a try. The rest of the items look like last minute grocery store cart throws. Popsugar did a terrible job with the box when it counted the most.

  28. So so disappointed, I wish I had picked the refund of the credits instead of continue, this box is a joke, that earrings…

  29. Now I can see why they only gave two spoilers. Everything else in the box is lame. (Lame was the nicest word I could think of.)

    • And the fact that it’s $75 PLUS tax… I know it’s only a few dollars more, but other boxes include tax in the overall price. $82 is way more than I’d pay for all of these items together.

  30. This is an ok box. Not $75 ok, though. It seems too taste-specific. Like I would never wear that robe, those earrings, or use that container.

  31. Epic Fail…… I’m so very happy I didn’t waist my money on this box!! The robe is ugly and see through, the earrings are terribly ugly they look like they came from the Dollor Store…. I could go on and on…. looks like this will be the beginning of the end for Popsugar Must Have!! Monthly boxes were better… I’m gonna stick with my FabFitFun and Luxor…

    • At least PS hasn’t ever sent scammy travel vouchers.

      Yet.

  32. I got lured in with the spa/self care theme, I feel so dissapointed in the mismatched all over the place box with overinflated retail value. It’s too late to cancel Summer box but I went ahead and cancelled all future boxes. This is not for me. Items I like I already got in my other $15 box, the earrings are horrible and I don’t see myself or anybody I know wearing them, the robe and trinket box I can get for a few bucks each at Marshall’s. Not worth $75 at all in my opinion.

  33. Luxury candles and scented lotion are just two things that would have been a much better fit for the theme of spa day and self care, instead of those earrings, which PS easily could’ve done for the rv of the earrings. Aside from the fact that they have nothing to do with the theme, IMO the earrings are only horrible b/c they’re WAY too long. I note that Lisa Sugar isn’t wearing them in her picture! I just hope they can be shortened. Will reserve judgment on the rest of the box until I get it, but I agree that it seems underwhelming.

    • That’s exactly what I was thinking …… how nice a lux candle and lotion would have been …… I’ve always been able to gift what I cannot use, but at a loss with those earrings….. PSMH, I love you….. but please, STOP with “statement jewelry” of any kind…. 😕

      • ……and yes, those earrings could easily have been a win with just one or two of the stones!!

  34. Gosh…everyone seems to hate those earrings but I think they’re kinda cute and fun! I really like everything except the tea. I’ll use the SR serum but I’ve received it in other boxes and it’s not a favorite. I will probably not continue this sub only because I have too many products, jewelry, trinkets, etc.

    • I love the earrings too! I love statement earrings so they will get a lot of wear.

That is my favorite in the box!

  35. Oh lord, this box is awful.

Those earrings are ridiculous and if you look at the photo you can see that one of the gold loop connectors is already pulling apart. They look like a miniature set of coasters for each ear. My only idea to even think about using these earrings is if I attend an 80’s party.

As for the soap, if I really wanted that stuff I would have bought it at Target. Not a brand I buy and to me it cheapens the box even more.

    • Call me crazy! But I love art and crazy statement peices; so for those who don’t want they’re earrings I will be happy to purchase from you via MSA SWAP or your preferred method!

  36. Popsugar this is for you. Why did you choose a theme and then not run with it? A spa day at home. Roughly half of the items are for “leaving” your home, and only the robe and possibly the cream whisper spa at home. This should have been a truly easy to do theme, especially for such a proven, talented company; i.e. a candle, body butter, bath oil, face mask, hair band, body soufflé, scrub, massager, even a small speaker/headset for music while you bathe. See, easy to do theme, and most likely all the items we were expecting. Instead, you include an eclectic pair of earrings for “going out”. Unfortunately, the same applies for most of the other items.

This was your debut quarterly box! It should’ve been FANTASTIC! Instead it feels as if someone slept their way through the procurement process. A theme should tell us what is going to be included, especially a simple, elementary spa theme. I’m not one concerned with dollar value. I purchased because I love anything that equals spa day, and I love Popsugar. Sadly, this was a big out when you easily could’ve and should’ve hit a grand slam!

You need to re-do your debut!

    • ❤️👍🏻

    • What she said! 👍

    • Exactly!

    • Well said! It’s true: They need a re-do, but I suspect the subscriber loss from this may lead to a death with a whimper. It is just sad, as this was always my favourite box for years.

    • Exactly!!!

      • So I just received my box. This robe is the most unflattering ever! I look so frumpy. I do like the serum and honestly if it wasn’t for that I’d be so upset. FabFitFun definitely takes the prize on quarterly subscription boxes and for so much cheaper. I paid for the year so I will be still receiving them but I’m bummed . I had hi hopes for $75.00!!

  37. Wow seems like a disappointing box for $75. Looks almost like a normal PS box that I still wouldn’t pay $40 for. I like the bowl but it’s not worth $60, $98 for those earrings!??!?? Grossly overpriced stuff. Then the extra add ins at the end just seem odd. It seems like a random mix of stuff.

  38. The most exciting item in this whole box is the hand sanitizer… So glad I didn’t jump on this. Yay 75.00 saved…

  39. I think a huge turn off for me is that they wanted me to subscribe in April for something I wouldn’t receive until fall, with zero spoilers. I think they did this to create a buzz and get more subscribers. It back fired for me.

  40. I realize that everyone has different taste, and it’s difficult for sub boxes to find items that will please everyone. But with that being said, I find it hugely disappointing that the highest value item in the box (the earrings) is one that a portion of the population physically can’t wear! Not everyone has pierced ears; I used to but I can no longer wear pierced earrings (largely due to damage caused to them by wearing earrings like this in the ’80s! 😉 ), so this is $98 of completely wasted value to me. I’ve always felt like Popsugar frequently got a lot of undeserved criticism…but between the high value pierced-only earrings; items that, while high quality,(Sunday Riley) have already saturated the sub box market, and addition of a completely unnecessary makeup line (come on, PopSugar…but there’s just no way this makeup line is something new or innovative!) this box is extremely underwhelming. Because I’ve still got leftover credits, I’ll stick around to give the next box a try…but this just isn’t an interesting box to me.

  41. I think I’m the only one who actually likes those earrings! I think they’ll look really cute with a white tee and jeans! That being said, I wouldn’t pay more than $10 for them. This box sure is underwhelming for the $81 I paid, despite the retail value being there. I’m hoping I’ll feel differently when I actually have the items in my hands. Sometimes a box review leaves me disappointed but then actually receiving the box changes my mind a bit. Not sure if I want to give Fall a chance, but guarantee if I cancel, Fall will end up being amazing. 😛

  42. I can’t believe these are the items they chose for their first quarterly box! I really thought they would want to wow people. This is just so disappointing.

  43. Oh. Wow. Ok. Uh. I read the comments first thinking no way. Nope. The only thing I like is the earrings and my ears aren’t pierced. It’s not like I’m the only one, given they want four months to curate now youd think someone would think this through. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think this is my last PSMH…

  44. I really like this box, except for the earrings, which wouldn’t be an issue anyway since I don’t have pierced ears and gift all my earrings. I’d more than likely buy this box if I could. I won’t buy a PopSugar box until I see spoilers so if the Fall box is good and not sold out, I might consider buying it.

  45. I’m really disappointed! I paid over 100$ for this box because of the exchange rate. Ugh. Maybe 2 or 3 interesting items. Time to cancel and say goodbye to popsugar…..

  46. I…….don’t know what to say about those earrings.

  47. ….and let the rude, hateful comments begin. MSA used to be better than this. Now it’s become a free-for-all mean girls platform.

    • Agree.

    • I don’t agree with you …. I love PSMH but agree that this 1st box is a bit of a let down.. these are honest opinions and not particularly rude… we all like different things and the theme might have misled most, did me… I tend to be protective of PS but agree with the general opinion here…. there was no need for a very audience specific earring with almost 1/3 of the retail value in a home spa box….

  48. I own that razor and love it.

    • That razor does look pretty nifty.

  49. The earrings are horrid

    • Yes they are!

    • My thoughts exactly. Those earrings blah. Poor Marne. That razor seems like something you would buy off Wish. Mopping slippers anyone?

    • They really are. They’d be okay if they were smaller, but they’re pretty bad.

  50. I must say I am bummed. Don’t have pierced ears. Can’t do lavender. Don’t like the serum for the face. Don’t wear robes. Why oh why did I think the first box would be grand? It should have be awesome for me…
