There is a little description so you know exactly how to use each mask. The card does a great job in listing out key ingredients and benefits. This is super helpful!
Berrisom Water Bomb Jelly Mask Pore Care - Listed Value $4.00, Retail Value $3.99
The first mask of the month is made of a jelly essence and is meant to moisturize while reducing pore size. It is made with grapefruit, lime, and peppermint leaf extract. Grapefruit is rich in antioxidants and provides your skin with anti-aging benefits while evening your overall skin tone. I used this mask before bed since it contains peppermint leaf which contains menthol, so I wanted to be sure that I wasn't left with any irritation. I was happy to see that I was only slightly pink after removing the mask. In the morning, I had a wonderful exfoliation which most likely was from the lime extract which helps to remove dead skin cells. Overall, my skin had a wonderful exfoliation while smoothing and moisturizing.
Oka Buckle Up, The Pore Sheet Mask - Listed Value $4.00
I have smaller pores so I usually don't find a huge need for these masks that are just focused on reducing pore size. I decided to use this mask in the morning before applying my makeup since it is meant to get your skin looking fresh and ready for the day. While I didn't see any huge benefits after removing the mask, I did notice that my eyes were less puffy and any redness that I had was gone. This mask contains witch hazel, Pulsatilla Koreana, and honey extract which all help in reducing puffiness, redness, and excess oils.
FrienVITA Perfect Skin Adhesion, White Gold Glow Mask - Listed Value $4.00
This mask actually contains gold in the ingredients! According to the information sheet, gold provides anti-aging benefits by supplying high amounts of moisture to your skin. It also contains vitamin c and yuzu fruit extract which protects your skin from harmful bacteria. I have been experiencing some mild breakouts so I knew the vitamin c and yuzu extract would be a big help. I used this mask in the evening, leaving it on for almost 30 minutes, and found that my skin was glowing after removing the mask. My skin looked brighter and my breakouts went away within a few days of using this mask. My skin looked as good as gold!
ReinPlatz Green Tea Hyaluronic Essence Mask - Listed Value $3.50
This mask is all about hydrating and soothing your skin, perfect for the end of winter. The main ingredient in this mask is green tea, which is something your body can always benefit from! It also contains hyaluronic acid which helps to keep your skin plump and hydrated. Since this mask has so many active ingredients, I decided to use it at night before bed. The mask smelled like a cup of green tea which was extremely relaxing. I woke to fuller skin that felt extremely hydrated. I noticed that my makeup went on smoother that morning and felt a natural glow that lasted for a few days after using this mask.
INSbyN AC Calming System Mask - Listed Value $4.00
I am always seeing people on Instagram post how you should use a sheet mask during or after a flight. I recently took a quick weekend trip to Florida and decided to take this with me to see if applying a sheet mask right after a flight really makes a difference. I am here to confirm that it absolutely does! I put this mask on once I got into the car driving to our house in Florida and felt an instant calm. The green tea works to reduce inflammation. While the tea tree and aloe extract focused on soothing and hydrating. These are all things that I need always but especially after a long day of traveling, my skin was puffy and super dry. After removing the mask, I instantly felt refreshed while my skin appeared to be hydrated and smooth.
Beltune Dalkorom Aroma Eucalyptus Mask - Retail Value $4.00
I love Eucalyptus and this mask had such a strong scent to it that was both refreshing and relaxing. According to the information sheet, Eucalyptus has antiseptic attributes. This mask also contains sodium hyaluronate which can help in reducing the appearance of blemishes while also providing benefits to aging skin. Honestly, I didn't see a huge difference in my skin after using this mask. My skin felt smoother, but I didn't see anything else that was a big change or that was lasting. For me, this mask was more about that lovely Eucalyptus smell that really helped to relax me after a long day.
SNP Fresh Vita Hydrating 2-Step Mask - Retail Value $5.00
I love a good 2-step mask! I will say that this mask had a lot of excess serum on it mainly due to the steps that you take to add more essence to the mask during the 2-step process. I'm not sure if my skin really needed everything that was on this mask so I decided to rub the extras over my neck, chest, and arms. I was very excited to see that this mask contained green grape extract which has exfoliating properties. It also contains panthenol which provides an extreme amount of moisture and hydration, most likely why the serum on this mask felt like there was so much to it! Overall, this mask was great to use after a long week because of its fresh and relaxing scent, but it also left my skin feeling refreshed with an extreme hydration!
Verdict: Facetory did a great job this month in providing masks that focus on exfoliating, protecting the skin, and hydrating. These are all things that are great to treat at the end of the long winter as we enter into spring where we will be out in the summer more often. There weren't as many multi-step masks this month, but I was very happy with the overall curation and freshness that each mask provided. My favorite mask of the month had to be the Gold Glow Mask because who doesn't love a mask that has gold in the ingredients?! As always though, Facetory does a great job of providing masks that not only help my skin but also remind me to take a few minutes each week for myself to refresh and unwind.
