Check out all of my FabFitFun VIP Box reviews and the Women’s Subscription Box Directory!

FabFitFun sends out a mini mag in each box. It details the items included and also provides background on some of the featured makers and designers.

This page shows all the different items that are available for customization, and the page on the right shows the items that all subscribers will receive.

Now, time for the items!

(There are a lot of pictures in this review because there are SO many items! And I’m going to show you all variants at the end of the review, too!)

I’m going to start with the items that all subscribers will receive:

Foreo Luna Fofo – Retail Value $89

(All subscribers will receive this item. Colors will vary.)

This is a brand new product from Foreo – it isn’t even available to purchase yet! (It’s officially launching first in the Summer FabFitFun box!)

FYI – if you’ve seen the mini Foreo Play in subscription boxes before, this is larger (about 2.5 inches across), and it has a replaceable AAA battery! (The battery should last for up to 400 uses before needing to be replaced.)

Here it is in hand to give you a better sense of scale:

If you aren’t familiar with the Foreo, it’s a pulsating device that allows you to get a much deeper clean when cleansing your face. (Similar to a Clarisonic.)

I’d been a Clarisonic user for years, but last year I switched to Foreo thanks to the first time I sampled this device!

Both Clarisonic and Foreo do a great job of cleaning my skin thoroughly. The big difference for me is the silicone brush surface area. It’s nonporous and will resist any bacteria build up. With Clarisonic, you have to always buy replacement brush heads. (At $22 a new brush head, switched out every 2-3 months, the costs add up!) Plus, this design is way cuter! 🙂

And see those two metal skin sensors on the back? This new Foreo is extra high-tech! You download their app (not available yet, but should be before this box ships), then use the sensors to analyze your skin, and get a custom cleansing plan that syncs with the device. (I’ll update this review once the app is available and I can try it!)

COOLA Face Sport SPF White Tea Moisturizer – Retail Value $32

(All subscribers will receive this item.)

Coola is probably my favorite sunscreen brand. Their formulas are ingredient-conscious, work well, and their scents are divine, too. Usually, I only see Coola in subscription boxes in the form of tiny samples, so I was thrilled to see a full-size product in this box!

This formula is certified organic, vegan, and gluten free. Plus it is a moisturizer + SPF 50 in one!

The cream formula blends in easily to give you a clear finish, the white tea scent is light and lovely, and no greasy finish!

Pier 1 Imports Marble Ring Dish – Retail Value $14.99

(All subscribers will receive this item.)

This is a glazed ceramic trinket dish with a marble design.

The edges have a metallic gold accent. Here is a closer look:

I always love when a subscription box includes a home item, and I think this is a perfect fit for that category. It’s simple, classy, and can work as a jewelry tray, a soap dish, or in my case, a place to wrangle all my lip balms.

Here it is with a few items to give you a better sense of scale:

(It measures about 4 inches across.)

Next up, we have the Choice items. If you aren’t familiar, every season, FabFitFun allows subscribers to pick their choice between different items to customize their box!

Summer & Rose Beach Towel – Retail Value $55

All subscribers will be able to pick between this towel (in one of two prints) or a Yumi Kim train case. (I’ll show you all the other options at the end of the review.) You have until May 18th at 11:59 PM PST to make your selection.

This is a microfiber towel, so sand won’t stick to it! It’s also super soft and oversized!

Here I am holding it up in my tallest of heels:

It measures 39 X 72 inches.

I love this tropical print so much! So bright and cheery!

(100% Polyester, Machine Wash Warm, Air Dry)

Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Gel – Retail Value $39

All subscribers will be able to pick between this gel, a ring, or a body scrub. (I’ll show you all the other options at the end of the review.) You have until May 18th at 11:59 PM PST to make your selection.

If you are a fan of lavender essential oil, I highly recommend picking this item! It’s an ingredient-conscious gel formula that is so light and soothing! Do you ever get a beauty product that has such a great scent that you can’t stop smelling it? That’s what is happening with me with this muscle gel – I keep smelling my arm where I applied it!

Next up, we have the Select items. If you aren’t familiar, every season, FabFitFun allows annual subscribers to pick their choice between different items to customize their box. If you aren’t a Select member (annual subscriber), FabFitFun will pick the item for you. Annual subscribers have until May 18th at 11:59 PM PST to make their selection.

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight & Contour Palette – Retail Value $45

Annual subscribers will be able to pick between this palette, or a tarte Pro to-go palette and eyeliner set. (I’ll show you all the other options at the end of the review.) You have until May 18th at 11:59 PM PST to make your selection.

How stunning is this palette? It’s a black matte case, with gold accents, magnetic flap closures, and mirrors on either side when you open it:

The top four shades are super shimmery highlights, and the bottom two colors are creams for sculpting and shading. (And this palette smells like chocolate!)

Here they are swatched:

The pigment is excellent throughout, and they were easy to blend, too. (A must for a contour palette!)

Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator – Retail Value $29

Annual subscribers will be able to pick between this face scrub, a resistance band, or a wallet. (I’ll show you all the other options at the end of the review.) You have until May 18th at 11:59 PM PST to make your selection.

I’ve sampled this before, and I love the formula, so this was an easy pick for me! It’s a super-fine exfoliant, gentle enough to use 3-5 times a week, and it makes my skin feel incredibly smooth and clean.

Elemis Enzyme Papaya Peel – Retail Value $45

Annual subscribers will be able to pick between this peel, or a hair protectant spray. (I’ll show you all the other options at the end of the review.) You have until May 18th at 11:59 PM PST to make your selection.

Elemis is a great skincare brand, so I decided to pick this as my final selection. It’s designed to exfoliate and purify skin with non-abrasive fruit enzymes. Just apply for 10 minutes, then remove with water. Super easy to use, super gentle on my skin, and it left my skin feeling soft and moisturized. (You can use this for up to two times a week.)

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $348.99! As always, I’m so impressed with how many items FabFitFun delivers for $49.99. I don’t know how they do it – this box is full of name brands I love so much I pay full price for, and I love how much customization they are now offering to subscribers. I don’t think there are any bad options in this box either – I love the towel + train case equally – if you are thinking of adding the other one to your box for an additional $10, I recommend it!

In my opinion – this is the best box FabFitFun has ever done!

Want to see any of these items in action? I’ve been adding videos to our Instagram stories answering reader questions about the box. Check them out here (click our logo/profile picture) and feel free to send me any questions you’d like me to answer in a video!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? As of today, 5/16, yes!

CouponUse coupon code MSA10 to get this box for only $39.99!

Value Breakdown: At $49.99 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Foreo: $12.75
  • Coola: $4.58
  • Pier 1: $2.15
  • Towel: $7.88
  • Tarte: $6.45
  • Elemis: $6.45
  • Vasanti: $4.15
  • Aromatherapy: $5.59

What do you think of the Summer 2018 FabFitFun box? Which items are you picking?

Ready to see the other options? Here are the other options that are available to subscribers:

Yumi Kim Makeup Train Case – Retail Value $58

These makeup train cases are such nice quality! The materials (shell is PVC, lining is polyester) make it easy to wipe up any makeup spills, too.

The top section of the case includes a section for makeup brushes and a zippered compartment.

And there’s a second zippered section on the bottom for more storage:

This case measures about 10 inches long, 6 inches across, and about 5 inches deep. It fit all my makeup with room to spare!

And here is the other pattern option:

ERTH Tu Y Yo Ring – Retail Value $55

This ring is 14K gold plated, with a brass base, and Certified Natural Cultured Freshwater Pearls.

I love the unique and minimalist design! Here it is on:

FYI – it’s adjustable, but I found it easier to make larger, than to make much smaller than a size 7.

Jaboneria Marianella Hawaiian Black Lava Body Caviar – Retail Value $48

First, love this packaging! So luxe! And the formula is ingredient-conscious!

It’s a decadent salt-based scrub that is infused with coconut oil to give you lots of moisture. It’s excellent for serious exfoliation, but if you have very sensitive skin, I’d recommend sticking with a milder, sugar scrub.

Tarte Tartiest Pro To Go Palette – Retail Value $23

This is a mix of 3 mattes and 3 shimmer eyeshadows. And just like the other tarte palette, the pigments are great and the formulas are easy to blend!

Tarte Sex Kitten Liquid Liner – Retail Value $20

How cute is this eyeliner pen cap?  The eyeliner goes on smoothly and is super inky and pigmented – exactly what you would expect from a great liquid eyeliner. And it doesn’t budge once it sets!

Minor History Post Script Wallet – Retail Value $20

This wallet has a wrist strap (seems perfect for travel and keeping track of your room key + cash), and gold accents.

The material is vegan leather, and it measures 2.5″ H x 4.5″ W.

It should be able to hold a few cards and cash.

Maji Sports Loop Resistance Band – Retail Value $15

This resistance band is another great travel item! And FabFitFun TV (a free channel for all subscribers) will feature workouts for this band!

Orlando Pita Play Atmos-Shield Hair Protectant Treatment Spray – Retail Value $34

This spray is a 10-in-1 thermal heat protection spray that provides an invisible weightless barrier to help combat damage caused by heat, UV rays, humidity, pollution and free radicals. I love that you can use it on both dry or damp hair, too. And it smells fab!

Ok, that’s it! Thanks if you stuck with me the whole way through! Let me know what you think of all the options!

And new subscribers, use coupon code MSA10 to get this box for only $39.99!

  1. I love when u break down how much each item is to make it easier for me lol thanks Liz ♥️ According to my math of what u have on here my box is worth $415.99!! So to me this is most definitely worth it

  2. I got a free starter box, will I get this box or something else?

    • The starter box is different. It’s a deal your friend gifted you that had about 4 items in it if I can remember correctly

    • Starter boxes usually include 2-4 items and are usually past box items, not items from the new box

      • How do I get a starter box .

  3. I love this box but I HATE how slow shipping is. Summer is always halfway over with by the time I get my box which is crazy since I am an annual member.

  4. I cancelled tribe because of all the drama surrounding them and decided to get this as an early birthday present to myself 🙂 this box looks aaaaaamaaaazing and I’m super excited to try the foreo. I hope I get the contour from Tarte but if not I feel like this box is so stacked I won’t be bothered if I get the eye palette

    • Dude, I’ll swap with you if I get the contour palette!

    • I’d be happy to swap you the contour palette if you get the eye shadow/liner palette. I haven’t mastered contouring yet. Lol.

    • I have the contour set if anyone wants to swap for the eye kit!

  5. Just ordered my first box! I love how customizable this box is and all the options, but even if I don’t get what I’m hoping for I feel like ALL the options are SO GOOD!!!

  6. I’m so annoyed with this box right now! The website had a banner that advertised add-ons opening on “Saturday may 10th”. May 10th was a Thursday but i checked that morning in EST and they were not available so I assumed it was a typo and they would open on Saturday. When I got on Saturday, I found out it DID in fact open on the 10th but in PST. I have been refreshing countless times a time and the bumbum cream never came back in stock. SO STINKING FRUSTRATING!!!

    • To be fair, I logged on the very first day they opened for annual members, at the exact time they opened, and the website kept crashing. About 2 hours later, I finally got it to load, and the bumbum cream was already gone. So was the bumbum lip balm, and the little unicorn speaker. You have to be one of the lucky ones who manages to get a not-crashed site to grab them.

  7. I am so happy and so impressed that they increased their apparel sizes!! Up to 5x and 34 (I wear 5x / 32), jeans to 54 I think, shoes to at least 12 and options for wide. At about 3x and 24, the availability of clothes (in general) drops off fast, and they also get less cute and more expensive — and almost no exercise wear. I exercise in big men’s board shorts and a tank top. Even though there are no clothes in this box, it makes me more likely to want to get another and look for add-ons. I thanked them in the place for comments and will email them too.

  8. i really want to try this !! if i’m a new member will i get to pick things for my box too ? or is that only for current active members ? let me know, this will make or break my purchase !!

  9. Wow! I haven’t been this tempted by a FFF box in a while! Awesome curation!

  10. I will totally swap the contour set for the eye set if that’s what I end up with. I’m too pale to contour with those colors O.O

    • I would totally swap with you if i get the eye set!

    • It is actually not that dark. I am crazy pale and I use the powder side and it looks amazing.

    • If I get the eye palette I will definitely trade with you!!!

      • I’ll trade my contour palette for the eye one too! 🙂

  11. I wonder why they show a tarte brush in the image as no one is getting that in the box but it is on add ons for a price. Maybe it’s in choices for annuals and I am a seasonal but I don’t recall seeing it in the mix offered.

It’s a nice box though and I resubscrirbed with the editors box and the add ons! I have a lot in add ons but things I will use or gift and things to try that are reasonably priced.

    • Liz was just showing the tray with extra items so we could see the size/scale of the tray.

    • That brush was sold during the addon sale as well.

      • None of these images were provided by Fabfitfun.

  12. I’m feeling a lot less guilty for my add ons after reading all these comments. I’m at $57 and just keep telling myself that I would be buying these items soon regardless of getting another subscription box. So technically I’m saving money because I would be spending atleast 3x that if it weren’t for these amazing deals. I am really mad at myself for not subscribing to this box sooner I get 5-7 different subs every month depending on spoilers. I always thought $50 was just way to much for one box so I never even checked it out. I used the $20 off coupon code for the editor box which should be arriving any minute now. I’m so excited

    • This is totally me! I dropped a bunch of subscriptions and only had the Sephora one for over a year. I never really had FFF on my radar, but this box is amazing, and the ability to customize is fantastic! So I dropped Sephora and became a FFF annual subscriber last week. Told the hubby it was my early birthday present. I’ve managed to keep add ones under $80, but it is really hard to not add a bunch of stuff. I’m so excited to see what they offer for fall and winter. Best value box around in my humble opinion!

      • I’m with you guys. I used to get Birchbox and Ipsy and Box of Style. Then I dropped Ipsy and picked up Sephora Play. I was overwhelmed with samples. Then, BOS really went downhill. I dropped everything and picked up this one. I was meh on the Spring Box, but this one looks great. I got way too many add one, but there are a few things that are smoking deals. Also, my friend said the mystery box is a great deal so I got that too.

My total is a little over what I’d spend on a box of style month anyway, so that’s how I’m justifying it.

  13. I took the plunge and got this. 🙂 I wish the muscle rub wasn’t lavender (allergic) as otherwise it sounds amazing. 🙂 The site was a little glitchy (wouldn’t let me put in my card info at first and customization screen was blank) but eventually my order got through and I was able to customize through a link in the email they sent. Fortunately my choices weren’t sold out! (I got floral train case and body scrub.)

    • You can chose the other option besides the muscle rub so that you don’t get it.

  14. I just logged into my account and there are tons of add one available again. If you are still wanting items you should go back in today and check.

  15. Liz, I’m curious – did your box include a straw from the charity partner for this quarter? I saw some subscribers say there was something from the charity in this box, but I’m not sure.

    • I saw on the MSA Instagram Stories that there is a paper straw included. I can’t recall the name of the charity though.

    • Go to giveasip and pledge to use less plastic and they’ll send you a reusable straw! In the magazine, On the page with the otter picture, is more information 🙂

      • I went on and pledged and never received a metal straw fyi😕

    • Thanks for the info – it always feels good to support a charity! 🙂

    • Glad the straw is for a good cause! however really bummed that I didn’t receive the towel or a train case. They seem to have used the straw as a replacement….

  16. If I upgrade to yearly today 5/17 or tomorrow the 18th Will I be able to select the rest of customizable products? I see that items are no longer available to pick from being seasonal so I want to know if that will be the case if I upgrade.

    • I upgraded 2 days ago and was able to pick the rest of the selections. From what I can see, you still can for the last 3 custom ones, it’s just the first 2 that everyone gets to pick that are all sold out. You may not be able to pick both for the tarte item but you’ll be able to pick the one you want at least. 5mins ago you could pick more from the last 2 selections (resistance band, wallet or scrub and then the face mask or hair spray)

    • Yes, as soon as you upgrade you can go back in and pick all of the other options you weren’t able to. At least that’s how it worked for me yesterday!

    • Thank you both;)

  17. Thanks for the review! I changed from the towel to the train case. Not so much a fan of microfiber so I am super glad you pointed it out!

    • Same here! Wasn’t sure which I would pick until I saw the towel was microfiber – so I went with the train case. I’ve never liked the feel of microfiber on my skin, although they might use a different quality/texture for beach towels vs. dish cloths.

  18. This will be my 7th FFF box and I CANNOT wait to get it!! I do find the items that will be randomly selected for seasonal subscribers a little odd. Previously, subscribers would get the same items but different colors/designs…this time, totally different items? Am I the only one that finds it a little odd? Lol.

    • I thought the same thing! Random, but cute.

    • Nope, I’m with you. Seems like a strategy to get people to go for the annual subscription.

    • They are aiming for more customization. I received a survey about upcoming boxes and they are playing with mixing up the items in choices. For example: you can get more skincare or more fitness or more fashion so the box suits you better.

  19. Great review Liz as always! Based on the review I switched my choice to the muscle gel. I have a torn muscle in my back right now that’s been hurting for weeks. I wish FFF would close add ons and send me my box!

    • Sadly it wouldn’t let me change ;(

      • You definitely should still be able to change it. You have to uncheck your current selection first, but they you can make any choice you want.

      • You have to click your first selection again to unselect it and then select a new one.

  20. I chose the pineapple towel and the ring. I added on the electric brush cleaner. Can’t wait for this box. Will be my 1st time trying a Foreo.

    • Check comments on the electric brush deal- I think there’s a youtube video where they test it out on different brushes. Some did not survive.

    • I’m a newbie, doing research, about to take the plunge. I thought the cleaning brush was in every box???

      • The luna fofo by foreo is used to clean ones face, but it is not a brush per se. Everyone will be getting a fofo in their box.

The electric brush cleaner is in add ons and is used to clean makeup brushes…I can’t recall the price for it now….Anyways the add ons are closed now but just thought to share in case you may still be wondering but maybe you have already signed up …or not.

  21. Can someone provide some guidance on the Mystery Bundles? I checked the forums but they are temporarily closed 🙁. Are the bundles usually quality or Meh? Thanks guys!

    • Elizabeth-do you mean the forums here on mysubscriptionaddiction or the FabFitFun forums? There’s a ton of information on the FFF forums with pictures!
If you are not a gambler or a risk taker don’t get them. Each season they have a variety of bundles. Each season the contents of the bundles change.
I bought 3 mystery bundles with my spring box. I received 4 items per bundle. I probably kept about 2 items per bundle and traded the rest.

      Here they are:

Oribe replenishing body wash – $42
      Will post-training massage oil – $29.50
Spongellé mani pedi treatment set – $18
      Roni burgundy clutch – $68

Crown pro full face contour set – $29.95
      Glamglow poutmud – $19
      Pure cosmetics luminizer – $28
      Summer & rose sunnies – $54

      Vital proteins collagen beauty water-$49.99
Pure cosmetics stripped collection – $50
Sonäge NMF Hyaluronic serum – $36
ISH elevated lash mascara – $16

      • Wow, thank you for putting this with all the price breakdowns! I was also curious about the mystery boxes – thanks for this!

      • Thank you so much! I was referring to the MSA forums, didn’t even think to check the FFF forum 😅. Thanks for taking the time to share that AMAZING breakdown, it helps a lot. I am a risk taker but with the add. Boxes and other add-ons I’m adding I’m trying not to give my husband a heart attack😂😂😂 My excuse will be “Christmas Presents!”

      • Wow, great products! I just subscribed for the first time to the summer box, but…. because I’m a newbie and don’t know the whole downlow yet, I’m wondering if I done something wrong on my summer box, LoL. Because this is my first box and didn’t go with the upgrade, is it correct that I was only able to choose two of my products? Does that still mean that I’ll get the other products that I’ve seen with the Tarte palette, Elemis exfoliant, exercise band (which I’m so looking forward to, LoL) and the silicone face cleanser thing? I know there were a couple other items shown in the box that I had clicked the link to subscribe, but I was under the impression that all of those items come in the box, or am I wrong? I was only able to chose a towel and the volcanic body scrub, but it didn’t show anything else for the products. I know, so many questions, LoL. I’m sorry for that, but would greatly appreciate a little feedback on this. Thank you!

  22. Liz, how is the Coola under makeup?

  23. I cannot wait for the box and it seams that I will not get to it until mid July. I will be traveling to Russia and Kazakhstan from mid Jun and will be out for a month. It will be very long long month of wait and knowing that box is on hold at USPS will be driving me completely crazy. I am not even mentioning that I got $200 of add-ons not counting 3 mystery bundles. At some point thought of canceling the trip crossed my mind too…

    • Natalia I think FFF sends boxes by FedEx make sure you arrange the hold with them.

      • Oh, you so totally right! Thank you so much for pointing it out. It would be a bummer to have box seating at my door for a month or even worse get stolen! Thank you!!!

    • That sounds like an amazing trip! Just put your box on hold with the carrier. Don’t give up a trip for a box. LOL

  24. Im at $300 in add ons!! And took a $100 off already.. I need help. If only someone would let go of my Brazilian bum cream! Lol

  25. I really like all the selections this time around – I haven’t picked up FFF before since it always seemed I liked some items but not others or would risk getting something I didn’t like if they picked. But everything looks good. Slight risk i wont be able to use the lavender rub but it might be OK if I just use it as a foot rub. Or I could get the caviar scrub instead.

  26. I am so excited to get this box! It’s my first FFF and I just love everything in it. And I may have accidentally on purpose added a couple more things to my box because I’m weak. And it was a great price. And I like new stuff. I really want to sub to Margot Elena but I didn’t want to get charged for two $50 boxes at the same time. So I’m trying to wait, but those boxes are so beautiful. I need to win the lottery so I can get all the boxes.

    • I know how you feel !

  27. Only Jennifer Aniston wouldn’t laugh out loud at a company that charges $55 for a beach towel.

    • Why is that?

  28. So excited to get my box!

    • Yay!!! 🎉

  29. I’m so excited! I chose the pineapple towel and the body caviar. I’m a seasonal member so I’m hoping for the tarte eye liner set, wallet and the hair spray, in case the FFF packing fairies are watching!

    • Wow! I hope to not get the hairspray, eyeliner set or the wallet. So if I get any of those I’ll swap with you 😉

      • I’m hoping for the eyeshadow and wallet! I’ll swap you for those if I get the alternatives!

    • I would love to swap you the hair spray for a skin care product since I doubt I’ll use it! Let me know! 🙂

  30. I can’t wait chachacha!!!

  31. Thanks for a great review. I decided to go ahead and switch the body caviar to the muscle gel. I don’t have very sensitive skin but sometimes it can be a little so I thought the muscle gel would be a safer bet.

    • Is the caviar stuff for face or body?

      • From Jabonería Marianella’s website: “This product is intended for use from the neck area down, never use on your face.”

  32. What add-ons did people get?

    • Way to many 😆

      • Ditto. I was good the last 2 times, this time, not so much. I’m over $100 but there’s nothing I want to delete. ($100 may be low for some but when the last 2 were well under, it’s a lot for me.)

I have a S’well bottle (can’t be $9!!), 2 of the Spongelle’s on a string for the gym, the Kendall & Kylie sunglasses (this may the one thing to go), the makeup brush cleansing tool, a mystery box b/c I haven’t gotten one before. I recently added the curling tool and the pomade after watching their videos on FB.

Had a shaker bottle but it did get deleted! Phew.

        • I’m at 15 items with a total of $167, but to be fair to myself, mine is actually $92 and the rest is stuff my sister wanted. Since this is my first box I added on the mystery bundle out of curiosity. The only item I wanted to try but could not get is the kiss butter. I’m happy I was able to snag everything else I wanted.

          • I’m up to $188. Somebody help me please!

    • I got the packing pods and two S’well bottles for the summer.

      • How come I couldn’t find the S’well bottle?

      • The packing pods are awesome! I have two sets I picked up in a previous add on sale and they’ve been life changing. I travel a lot and they have really helped me!

    • I’m at $122.
My son had surgery Monday and with the stress before hand I had forgotten about add ons. I didn’t even look until the 13th. Every item I wanted was sold out. I put them in my favorites, checked back periodically and have been able to get every item I wanted.

I got one of those adorable baby floats. (Good price)
      Ear buds
      Bath bombs
      A candle
      Eye mask
      FFF TOTE (cute)
      Earrings – I’m dumping these I think.

All in all so much fun! Can’t wait.

      • Margie – thanks much for the advice on strategy – I favorited all the things I’m drooling over and that makes it so much easier every time I check on availability.

      • Ooooh, I didn’t know you could do that! I favorited a few things. Still got about nine hours left!

      • Wait? You can still possibly get items that were sold out? Tell me more

    • Thanks for sharing your add-ons peeps! You made me realize how good a deal the Swell bottles are so just added one. Does anyone know if this stuff comes in original packaging so it can be gifted…?

I also have everything by Living Proof (for my frizzy curls), two Hand in Hand lotions and the pink quartz candle. Really coveting the Kate Spade umbrella.

      • Swell bottles are very very small. They are 16oz which is size of grande Starbucks coffee

    • Trestique mini lip balm, FFF tote, Cocoage body scrub.

    • I am getting & really excited for my add ons this time:
      – bum bum cream & lip butter
      – slip pillowcase and eye mask
      – eye gels
      – bath bombs
      – klorane dry shampoo
      – floss ( I saw this at Sephora and was interested in trying it)
And now I’m considering a water bottle, I love reading what everyone else is getting ! I did have to stalk some of the items but if you really want something, you might be able to get it.

      • You are going to love that floss! It is a game changer and I’m not exaggerating! 🙂

        • After reading about the floss on the FFF forum I decided to add it. Happy I got the lip balm too, after refreshing a million times! Haha.

  33. I feel like I’m harassing people by constantly bringing this up, but the Coola sunscreen is NOT ingredient conscious. Avobenzone and octinoxate are endocrine hormone disruptors that have been proven to show up in breast milk (among other body fluids). They are no longer supported by dermatologists. Industry agrees that zinc oxide and titanium dioxide (mineral sunscreens) are the only safe sunscreens, and chemical sunscreens should be avoided.

    • Thank you for sharing that! That’s new info to me. I will have to look into it.

    • Thank you, I was just about to point this out. Everyone makes such a big deal about parabens, but the chemical sunscreens are so much worse.

    • Plus, Octinoxate isn’t reef safe! How can anyone claim “ingredient conscious” if their product is literally destroying one of our world’s most biodiverse ecosystems? Another reason to stick to physical sunscreens!

    • Thank you TONS for sharing this information! I have endocrine disease and a double copy of the MTHFR a1298C mutation, so… using products that are endocrine disruptors just add to the health problems I’m already fighting. People would be very much surprised if they’d research the ingredients used in a lot of these products. It definitely woke me up! I don’t think you’re “harassing” or nagging, it’s very useful information for those with endocrine/thyroid/autoimmune immune disorders. Blessings and peace to you!

      • Wait I think you’re getting oxybenzone and Avobenzone confused. I don’t there is oxybenzone in the sunscreen, which is super toxic and synthetic estrogen. Avobenzone is an ingredient in this and it’s safe but it just breaks down quickly meaning you’d have to reapply. All in all, if a chemical sunscreen is worrysome, physician sunscreens are a better option.

  34. I chose the ring, but now I wonder if it will fit me. I use 5, so probably this will be too big for me. Not sure what I would select instead, though.

    • I have a similar ring, different brand, and it’s adjustable if you’re referring to the ring size (not the pearl size). I put mine on different fingers by making it bigger & smaller.

      • Yes, but Liz mentioned in the review that she couldn’t get it smaller than a size 7. So I’m wondering if it would stay on my middle finger (which is a 5). The pearls are fine, I’m just worried it might fall of from my finger 🙂

        • I’m a 5 too and hope it fits, but I have a feeling it may not. I have a ton of body scrubs and don’t like lavender so that was still the best choice for me.

          • Ditto. Exact same situation here. At one point I changed to the body scrub, but they I realized that I would probably never use it, so I’m back at the ring – hopefully I can gift it if too big.

          • I know someone is secretly hoping it doesn’t fit because she knows I’ll give it to her if it doesn’t, haha!

      • Interesting ring. I have a similar ring, symmetric pearls and 18kt gold from Georg Jensen’ Moonlight Grapes collection.

I’ve never seen the design anywhere else and constantly get asked about my ring…now I can share the link 🙂

  35. Great review, Liz, and thanks for the Instagram stories and answering questions! So nice to see items up close like that. Do you think the towel would be absorbent enough to put on my mat for hot yoga? Tired of my usual bath towels! I never thought FFF could top its last winter box, but I think this one is going to do it!

    • what is the # for the instagram? thanks

  36. I was tempted into renewing my subscription… am trying to decide if I should upgrade to Select. If I’m reading it right, you get charged right away for 1 year (which is 4 boxes, right?) and you get your box first and get to pick more selections. And it’s $20 cheaper than getting the boxes separately? But I guess if you don’t like a box you’re stuck.
Select members are you happy you did it?

    • Yup! Love being able to choose more of my items. Even if a box is not my taste, I at least got to customize 75% of it. And early access to add ons is a big plus!

    • I’ve been with FFF for two years an annual member and I don’t regret it. I got stuff for me and then gifts as well in the products.

    • If it is in your budget then definitely do it. There is always value in this box even if it’s just a few beauty items or early access to the sales. I’ve done seasonal off and on for probably 3 years and there have been a few boxes I wasn’t dying over but always worth the $50 to me. Summer is typically my least favorite and they are bringing it this year with the brands and value.

      • I went for it! I actually won the cost of the whole year at bingo last night so I figure I’m good, LOL!

    • Yes, you got the details right. I went select after receiving my first box, which was winter. I think it is worth it with more customizing and early access to add-on and edit sales. I am excited to get the summer box – I liked the way the customizing was even more flexible and with options to add the other choices for $10 more each (not mentioned in the review here.) I will see how the rest of the boxes go to decide whether to renew next year. Additionally, any products you don’t want make nice gifts or can be sold or traded in the exchange groups online. Hope this helps : )

  37. I so, so regret not selecting every option available when I had the chance.
If Causebox doesn’t come through with some amazing spoilers I might have to get a 3rd box.
These will just make amazing gifts throughout the year.

  38. I wish I could add more of the towel or train case to my order but it hasn’t been an option for me since I signed up last week 🙁 did they “sell out” or are they available at a later time?

    • I saw it available a couple times (just for the first customization option) yesterday evening. Probably just keep checking back.

    • I don’t think the add on option was ever available, as these are expensive items. I was on the site about 5 minutes after the selections were opened up, and there was no option to add on those items. There is an option for the peel and/or the hair protectant spray. Bummer, or I would have gotten one of the train cases (although I wish the patterns were a bit nicer.)

      • There was for the towel/ train case.

    • I’ve seen the items go in and out of stock. I was able to add another towel just tonight. Keep the page open and randomly refresh and it might appear for you.

  39. Does the foreo still work as a cleaning device even if you cannot download the app and/or don’t have a smart phone? Thanks!

    • And what is the exp. date on the Coola?

      • The sunscreen expires 3/2021. Hope that helps! 🙂

        • Thanks, Liz! It helps me spend my money 🙂 That’s the normal sunscreen I would buy but I have an open tube and sealed backup tube but since the exp. is so far off I can use the coupon and it’s like getting the rest of stuff for $8. and my clarisonic stopped working the beginning of the year so that’s worth it to try the foreo. Thanks again for answering my questions.

    • Yes! I’ve already been using it without the app. It works like all of their other Foreo devices, just click the button on the back and it starts vibrating!

      • Thanks Liza – thats good to know – I’m pretty much a Luddite when it comes to apps!

  40. What am amazing box and great review! Thanks for photographing the foreo brush in hand, it’s bigger than I thought it would be which is a nice surprise!

I chose the same towel print, it’s so gorgeous. Well, and the floral train case as well 🙂

For people asking about the muscle gel, it’s getting rave reviews both online and in the FFF forum. And I looked up a bunch of the ingredients which are being studied for rheumatoid and osteoarthritis relief. I’m really hoping it works! It would be amazing to have an effective salve that doesn’t make people go “what’s that weird smell?”

    • Thank you! Also, ditto on weird smell problems :’-D

    • Really? It has ingredients for RA pain relief? I might have to change my selection, if it’s not too late.

  41. Right now, I can’t get the extra items for add-ons! Will they become available before it’s too late?

    • Only if people who already selected them as extras decide not to get them. (The extras for $10 are “while supplies last.”)

  42. Hi Liz! 🙂

Would it be possible for you to please put the video clips in the blog post or a you tube link, for those of us (and there are MANY) who don’t use Instagram?

We’d love to enjoy the video review clips too, but… well, there is a huge percentage of the population that would feel much more included in the fun if we weren’t told to sign up for social media platforms to do so.

    Thank you so much!

    • Let me try to figure out how to do that! 🙂

      • thank you so much!

    • You don’t have to sign up for Instagram to use the site.

      • Its saying to sign up tho, to see the Instagram stories @LizCadman mentioned. How can those of us without Insta watch? Please advise. Thank you.

        • Oh that’s too bad, I didn’t think it did that, sorry!!

  43. if you sign up for an annual sub, can you skip the quarterly boxes that you don’t want? it seems i never go for their spring boxes

    • Nope

  44. Hoping for the Elemis. Fingers crossed. I used all my Beauty Fix sample all three times I used it my face was Soo soft!

  45. Thanks for the fast review! This is seriously one of the BEST boxes ever! I’m so excited!!!

  46. Thanks so much for the review, it’s really helpful for choosing. I wonder if you could comment on how effective the muscle gel seemed to be?

    • I would love to know that also! 🙂

  47. I can’t wait to get this box!! And my $106 in add-ons… 🙂

  48. Thank you, this review helped me pick some of my customization options! 🙂

    • Yay! Glad it was helpful? What did you pick? 🙂

      • I chose the navy train case, highlight/contour Tarte palette, muscle gel, Vasanti exfoliant, and the hair protectant spray. I’m super tempted to add a beach towel if they become available to add more on, does it feel scratchy like other microfiber, or is it softer?

        • It’s not scratchy at all. You can definitely feel that it is microfiber and not terry cloth of course, and I think it’s pretty soft, too. Hope that helps!

          • Thanks so much! I appreciate you!

        • Of all the skincare I have used, without fail after using the Vasanti I get at least a few comments on how great my skin looks. Every. Time.

  49. Do they offer special discounts for annual subscriptions during black Friday?

    • Sometimes they offer $10 or $20 in add on credit with a seasonal upgrade.

  50. I can’t decide!!
