Liz reviewed Beauty Fix’s May box on 5/25. I provided the link below 🙂 :

Nm, found it.

I just replied to you with the link for the review, but it went to moderation (I’m guessing since it had a link) 😀 … so please disregard my reply. 🙂

Hi Liz, any June spoilers??? I know they generally spill a bean around now? Though after FunFitFab spree.. how could I even wonder about another box… lol

Spoilers coming soon! 🙂

I just got my box today and the samples are teeny tiny, even though good brands. Unless they up their game, I will be canceling. Especially when fabfitfun has so many nice full size scrubs and peels this quarter.

Analeesa

Thinking the same– tired of paying double some of the other cheap boxes and getting TEENY TINY samples some of which i received in the cheap boxes in bigger sizes. Likely to cancel also–full sizes and deluxe were one of the reasons I subbed.

I feel the same. I liked this box a lot when it started and had one full size item and one tool. This is now basically a Birchbox at 2.5 tines the price.

Also, don’t the guarantee one full sized item? They used to, anyway.

I came here to say the same thing. Tiny samples was why I cancelled Birchbox and Sephora Play. Loved last months box…this month I’m not impressed.

Reply ButtonReply

Kathi

Agree 100%! Tiny samples, not impressed! This has always been my FAVORITE subscribtion box in the past but I went ahead and cancelled after this one….I can always resubscribe if I see next months box has something I “can’t live without”! LOL

JeriLyn

Omg we have the same name!! Lol except I use 1 N…..btw i agree with you!!

I got a tracking number for my box but the status has been pre-shipment since May 4. When do you all normally receive your boxes?

Reply ButtonReply

Bobbie

I got it today. For some reason my tracking info didn’t update.

Dana

I just received my box today. It usually ships out of Kentucky, I think, and I’m in southern Illinois, so it doesn’t take long to get to me.

Reply ButtonReply

Paula

I was able to sign up today and I’m very excited about this box. There are so many unique samples to try out – and a couple of very expensive items!!! I’m usually more into makeup but I’m tiring of all the mascaras, black eyeliner and lipglosses…

Kelebilemang

Hmm, ordered this box with the $25 voucher we received for the Peter Thomas Roth moor mask and my order was canceled? I’ve just decided I don’t need this box so much. I still have my unopened primer from Boxycharm.

The customer service is great. They replaced my box immediately when I called about my broken box. Dealing with subscription addictions, I have limited myself to three, and Beautyfix is a keeper.

Oh good.. the second ingredient for the Hydra Balance Smart Moisturizer is Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid.. I did some research and found that according to a study done in 2002, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid “Produces excess reactive oxygen species that can interfere with cellular signaling, cause mutations, lead to cell death and may be implicated in cardiovascular disease.” It is also thought to induces DNA strand breaks upon exposure to sunlight. I’ll be gifting this one…

Melissa W.

What!! The fifth ingredient in the Hydra Balance Smart Moisturizer is Triethanolamine… which is considered a moderate hazard ingredient by the Cosmetics Database. According to Cosmetic Ingredient Review, Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics, and the U.S. National Library of Medicine, there is strong evidence that Triethanolamine is a human skin, immune system and respiratory toxicant. One or more animal studies show sense organ effects at very low doses, especially when used around the mouth, eyes and lips, and one or more in vitro tests on mammalian cells show positive mutation results. I’m not even gifting this stuff, I’ll just throw it away! The rest of the box looks good so far though..

Robyn

Darn it I thought I canceled this one. I’m going to have to start using that primer as body lotion 😆

Reply ButtonReply

Monika

I thought I’d cancelled mine as well but it just showed up today. Not excited about this box.

T.Marie

I didn’t even know I had an active sub until I got a charge on my card the other day! Now if I could just remember which email it came from, I could cancel. The worst is PayPal. You have to cancel through PayPal as well as the actual sub bc PayPal will pay them anyway. Learned that the expensive way

Reply ButtonReply

Misti

I had that with Glossy box and I got charged 3 days before sub online said they would charge. I did want Beauty Fix

Reply ButtonReply

Lana

Ooooh! That explains why my Glossybox subscription renewed when I thought I had cancelled. But I’m living overseas so I just thought there was an error in translation! Thanks for the tip!

Reply ButtonReply

Lin

Easy to skip this month!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle Bross

No it’s not! I tried that little tricky of changing my receiving date to every sixty days and still got charged yesterday 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

Yep…I got charged as well. I sent them an email about it and they said there is no 60 day option, or an option to skip, even though my account page on their website specifically lists my delivery frequency as 60 days and even the next delivery date was listed as early June (implying no May delivery). So clearly the option is available on their site and will inevitably cause a lot of confusion when people start getting billed.

They did a one time refund for me as “a courtesy” but I think BeautyFix needs to address this 60/90 day option error quickly as they will inevitably get a litany of chargebacks as well as a bunch of annoyed subscribers who need to take time out of their days to address this CS snafu.

Ami

They said their options of 30-60-90 day subscriptions was a glitch in the system. Unfortunately, you can’t skip but must cancel. I didn’t find this out until two boxes were shipped to me lol. Unfortunately I’m away from home. Hopefully the mail man left them somewhere safe but I believe that when I get back I’ll just have to print out some return labels. Since the glitch was on them, I hope I can at least get some credit for the inconvenience.

TK

Lots of great products to “try”. I know most people prefer full size over samples but I prefer to try a lot of things rather than get stuck with a full size product I don’t like. I feel wasteful tossing something I used once. I started the sub box thing about 2 years ago to find my Holy Grail products and I’m almost there.

I am so glad that I signed up again for Beauty Fix after cancelling my subscription a year ago because I was with them for two years and I kept getting useless mismatched products that didn’t fit my profile or i would receive products that were either expired or abound to expire. Now however I love everything in the Beauty Fix boxes from last month and this month. I will use everything in this box. They’ve definitely improved their products deletions and the quality. Please keep up the good work Beauty Fix. Thank you.

Cristina

This is one juice beauty item I’ll actually keep!

Reply ButtonReply

Gabriela

I love the Tocca Giulietta fragrance <3
And I tried the Murad face oil and loved as well. I know both samples are tiny, but they’re both great products!

Rawda

I am so glad that I subscribed to Beauty Fix again after cancelling my subscription a year ago because I was with them for two years and i never received anything special or worth paying for and everything i use to get was never anything that i could use or fit my profile. Now however, for the second month they are doing great with products quality and selections! An not disappointed with this month at all not even with one product in this box. I will use everything in it and it is all thingy i have been wanting to try. Good job Beauty Fix. Please keep this up and don’t change whatever your skin now. I love it.

This is another month of “new to me” products and I can’t wait! I’m most excited for the primer and I always find Skinceuticals products that I love through this sub.

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya M

I wish I could afford Skibxeuticals! I see results in thise little tubes in a few days. Not sure what helped fade my hyper pigmentation … but Skinceuticals and Avene Retinol in the mix (still can’t use Avene more than twice a week) but so happy for improvement. I love BF and happy didn’t have to skip this month. Small samples this month but quality ya there. Happy to try Murad as well.

Reply ButtonReply

Dana

Just an FYI for anyone who tried to use the “skip” feature for their BeautyFix subscription this month: Before April ended, I changed my box frequency in my Dermstore account subscription settings from every 30 days to every 60 days (so that I wouldn’t get the May box). However, I see that they charged me for the May box today, so that option totally doesn’t work even if you see it in your account settings.

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

Thanks SO much for the heads up. I did the same thing and did an every 60 day sub. The website says my last shipment was on 4/5 and my next one is supposed to be 6/4 but I also have a charge pending on my credit card from today and the website states my May box is “in fulfillment”. Hopefully they can undo the error before it ships and credit the charge back. Ugh….sub box headaches never seem to end!

Thanks again!

Reply ButtonReply

Youli

I skipped last week for 90 days and was charged today as well. Called their customer service and they told me that Skip option isn’t actually working at all, and they cannot cancel May box already, but they are going to refund me and send me May box for free because there is no option to undo the delivery at this point. So the only option to skip the box is to cancel the subscription.

Michelle Bross

I guess I’ll be getting this months box anyways. Thanks for the heads up I was charged today also 🙁

Michelle

I’m glad I canceled my subscription last week – so much money for so many samples!

Reply ButtonReply

Jeri

Wow 11 products…even if some are small, I think that is amazing!!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I really want to subscribe to this box! But the budget for subs is tight 🙁 Do they ever have a deal, like a black Friday offer?

Reply ButtonReply

Lynn

I think sometimes, near the end of the month, they have coupons for $5 or more rarely $10 off of that month’s box or maybe an extra item thrown in. I can’t say that I have ever seen an extended deal like a Black Friday deal where you get a discount for three or six months. But, I have to say their boxes are almost always more than worth it to me. If not, you can usually see the first few spoilers before the beginning of the month and it is easy to cancel and resubscribe the next month that interests you.

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

The most frugal route is to cancel each month and then sign up again after you see full spoilers for a box you want, then cancel again. Of course, I always sign up again! But at least I can avoid receiving shipments while I’m traveling since new subs ship a few days after ordering.

Jen

Thanks Lynn!
