Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $38

This primer is designed to help blur pores/imperfections and prep skin for makeup application. It provides just the faintest glow, gives your skin a smooth finish, and feels like you aren’t wearing any makeup. I wear a full coverage foundation, so the glow part is lost on me, but I’m still happy with this primer.

NEUMA neuMoisture Instant Fix – 30 ml Value $4

I've sampled this brand once before thanks to BeautyFix, and I love that their formulas are ingredient conscious. This spray has a lovely light and sweet scent, too. It works on dry or damp hair as a heat protectant, and adds softness and shine, too. My only issue with this sample is that the spray nozzle wasn't working for me, so I ended up just unscrewing the cap to use the product.

Fillerina Replenishing Gel Grade 2 Filled Applicator – 1 ml Value $2.50

This product is new-to-me, and I was very interested in trying it after I saw the first BeautyFix spoilers.

First, I should call out that while this looks like an injection needle, I believe that is only design/packaging done to make it look like this product is a Botox alternative. (You're not actually injecting your skin - this is a topical application.)

Basically, you apply this wherever you want to address wrinkles and sagging on your face, and let dry for 10 minutes, massaging in any excess gel. (I'm not sure if I did this wrong, but I used about half of the sample, and it absorbed immediately - no 10 minutes needed.)

I personally couldn't tell a difference after using it. (Looking at their FAQ, you might need 14 days of applying it to see a difference, though.) If you've tried this and got results, please let us know in the comments!

SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense – 4 ml Value $13.07

This serum is designed to prevent and reduce the appearance of dark spots. (It's ideal for addressing hyperpigmentation, sun damage, scars, and acne scars.) It's fragrance-free, and it's a light oil that absorbs quickly and gives your skin a smooth finish. (This sample should last for at least a week, too.)

VMV Hypoallergenics Hydra Balance Smart Moisturizer – 1 oz Value $8

More ingredient conscious skincare! And this is a brand that is new-to-me! The formula feels amazing, too. It's hydrating and rich, but it still absorbs quickly and doesn't give you a greasy finish. (Plus this tube is completely full!)

Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Body Cleanser – 1 oz Value $2.35

This is officially my favorite Peter Thomas Roth scent of all time - it's an amazing orange/citrus scent. I can't stop smelling it! The formula itself is good, too. It has a light lather, and isn't overly moisturizing,

DermaBlend Pro Setting Powder  – 3 g Value $2.89

I've sampled this before thanks to August’s BeautyFix box. So, it’s not a new discovery for me, but I’m happy to have more. This is everything you’d want in a setting powder: super lightweight, invisible, helps mattify skin and gives a bit of a blurring effect.

Tocca Beauty Giulietta Eau de Parum – 1.5 ml Value $2.16

This is a floral fragrance with notes of green apple, pink tulips, vanilla orchid, and amber.

Replenix Plumping Lip Treatment SPF 30 – 1.5 ml Value $13.46

This lip plumping treatment is designed to visibly plump wrinkles and provide lots of hydration. I'll be honest - I've sampled many lip plumping treatments over the years, and I've yet to find one that truly makes my lips look larger. But...I think this one actually works. I did a double take after a few minutes of wearing it because it looked like I was wearing a pink lip color, but the formula had just enhanced my natural lip color. (I even tried rubbing off the formula just to see if any color came off - nope!) And my lips looked slightly plumper.

More to know: the scent/flavor is nice, the formula is moisturizing and provides a lot of shine (plus SPF 30), and it does tingle a bit for a minute or two after applying it.

This isn't going to give you a huge change in volume, but it's enough for me to notice a difference, and I'm actually planning on buying the full-size version once I finish the sample!

Murad Multi-Vitamin Infusion Oil  – 3 ml Value $7.20

This oil is designed for aging skin, dryness and dehydration, and hyperpigmentation. It's a gentle formula, and feels great on my skin, and leaves a slight sheen.

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream – Desert Glow – .17 oz Value $3.90

This CC Cream has SPF 30 and the classic Juice Beauty green apple scent. (I love the scent, but I know not all MSA readers feel the same way!) If you are looking for a sheer/light coverage CC cream, I recommend this one, but if you are like me and need more medium-to-full coverage, this just doesn't work.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $98! That's a great value for a $24.95 box! I always recommend this box for anyone who wants a quality skincare subscription box, and I feel like they really delivered this month. I discovered lots of great new products, and I'm pretty obsessed with that lip plumping treatment!

How did some people get a $25 Credit for their box? I’ve looked in my email and couldn’t find anything. I’ve subscribe monthly and have for over a year

So my Juice Beauty CC cream from this box smells bad — like chemicals or something kind of putrid. Not at all like the yummy fruit smell I’m familiar with from their moisturizers. Did anyone else have this problem?

The primer interests me but once i put foundation over it, the glow is a moot point. The Fillerina product just aggravates me because it looks like a needle and may fool some naive shoppers into thinking it’s a botox replacement. The others are all mini sizes so I’m just not thrilled. Oh well. I’m skipping this one and plan to get up a little earlier on Friday to order the June box before work. If the Colorescience is too dark for me, I can give it to my niece.

I really considered this boxx and would have jumped on it to try because the Fillerina Replenishing Gel Grade 2 Filled Applicator – 1 ml Value $2.50 peaked my curiousity my problem is that each day it is a 2 part process they only sent half I am guessing it does no good without part 2 of the daily treatment so why would they even bother sending an item that is mainly useless
and at $169 it is over priced to even try a half dose.

Liz, Am I not using the Skinceuticals correctly? I squirt on my forehead rub in, then each cheek doing same. but it lasts me almost 3 weeks. Maybe I am not using enough of it if you only get a week… i long for a full size of any of their products.. first product I ever used that told me oh yes, sister, there is some over the counter product out here that will blow you away and here, I am using improperly. I will read up..

I don’t apply it directly to my skin. I use a dollop of Simple Water Boost Hydrating Cream. I use it with my drunk elephant products too. It helps spread them on my face more easy and provides hydration.

Why they promise more than $100 and this box is lower than that? I’m really disappointed

I have been a subscriber since April 2013. I am just about done with this subscription. I am also irritated that we now get tiny little samples as the norm. When I first subscribed, these boxes were great….tools, mainly full size items and they included random free gifts in the boxes. My opinion is instead of keeping the number of subscriptions down and the quality really good, they got greedy and now put out a greatly declined product. Too bad, this used to be my favorite subscription of all time.

I don’t understand why they’re including such a minuscule sample of the Fillerina Replenishing Gel when it most likely takes 14 days to see any results.

I canceled after this crappy box. Which is good because I have way too many boxes.

Any June spoilers. I’m looking for a way to cut back so hoping they actually don’t wow me this month!!! Lol .. I got carried away with FFF and need to pay the piper.

Same here! Hahahaha.

Me too, this month has been terrible spending wise. Ohh, nooo! lol

Tara

Honestly besides the fiasco with the ptr mud mask (no review was written that month so I’m not sure what the value was), this is the lowest box value in beauty fix history! They promise a $100 value they should deliver! This is the first month I’ve skipped since I started subscribing almost 2 years ago. I miss the days when they would have 3-4 full size or a tool and would have a $150-200 value!

Janet

They more than made up for the PTR size problem by sending the $25 coupon for Dermstore.

I started subscribing in April (loved that box!) so this was my second month and I am a little disappointed. Looking forward to seeing some spoilers for June to see if I am going to cancel. I hope they make up for this month with next month’s box.

I tried the fillerina product several nights in a row mainly around my eyes. I drank a ton of water before I used it and didn’t notice any difference. I was also wondering how the price was calculated.

Liz Cadman

Yea, I was way off on that. I updated it now to $2.50. Sorry about that!

I have had a really bad experience with them. I started getting boxes early this year. I was charged for two boxes in spite of a dozen attempts to get just one. Recently I was charged for 4 boxes and received two. In spite of multiple chats and phone calls they never could cancel so I finally went in manually and hopefully succeeded after a couple tries. Buyer beware. A good box but horrible customer service.

Curious how the value of the Fillerina was calculated? I calculated a much lower value. I did use it and *thought* my skin looked more smooth, but as soon as I applied foundation over it the difference seemed to disappear.

Oh – thanks for letting me know. I just realized I used ml instead of oz. Updating that now. Thank you!
