ShoeDazzle March 2018 Review

This month’s box didn’t include an itemized invoice.

Shoe Dazzle March 2018 wine coupon

However, they did include another discount code for Nakedwines.com. I haven’t enrolled yet for this program, but have been tempted since it is such a great deal! One always can stock up on wine as gifts for housewarmings, dinner parties, etc.

Shoe Dazzle also included this $50 coupon for Hello Fresh meal plan service. This is another service I have considered using, especially due to Jess and Anna’s Hello Fresh reviews! The food always looks so amazing!

Twist Front High Waisted Bikini, Size 2x - Retail Value $56.95, VIP Price $39.95. $15.98 with 40% Off Sale.

When I placed my order there was a 40% off everything on the Shoedazzle site, so you best believe I took advantage of it! I had been eyeing this extremely cute retro bikini for weeks, so I opted to get it at such a deep discount. I wasn’t sure what size to get, so I opted for the 2x. I felt I would have more issues with a 2x on my bottom half than top since I have lost most of my weight it seems in my torso. Ironically, the bottoms fit like a dream but the top fits me rather poorly. The issue with this bikini is the straps and back band are far too thin. This would work for someone that is slender with a smaller chest, but this suit offered little support. The strap got lost in my back. My underboob was IMMENSE and INTENSE with this too. I love my body and have been wearing bikinis for years, at a larger size than I am presently, so that was not a problem for me. I debated getting a second suit in a 3x, but I sense I will still have issues with the straps on this piece. The poor construction of this top is the concern. If a company is going to offer a plus size version of a swimsuit, they should take into account fit requirements and needs of that customer. The bikini bottom, however, looked super adorable on. I loved the ruching on the sides and tie detail. The high waist hit me perfectly as well. I decided that I am going to keep the bottom and seek out a better fitting, structured top elsewhere and give the top of this suit to a friend. So, there is a happy ending in this bikini drama at least.

Mock Neck Dress in Golden Honey, Size 2x - Retail Value $32.95, VIP Price $22.95. $18.36 with 40% Off Sale.

Last month’s Shoedazzle review included a black sleeveless mock turtleneck dress that I loved. When I saw the camel/golden honey version of the dress, I had to get it as well! I love form-fitting dresses and showing off my V.B.O (visible belly outline), but I think I would have preferred a size 3x in this particular dress. The dress is made of an immensely soft, yet slinky material that has ample stretch! This is such a classic piece and it will pair great with big Jackie O’ style sunglasses, heels, and a wide-brimmed summer hat for a chic summer wedding look. It also will look amazing with your favorite blazer and flats for a comfortable office ensemble.

Miracle Skinny in Anchor Blue Size, Size 24 - Retail Value $56.95, VIP Price $42.95. $25.77 with 40% Off Sale

I decided to pick up a pair of jeans during the sale as well at the Shoedazzle site. I loved the style of these immediately because they are a high waist skinny jean. The thick waistband and cut of these jeans screamed the early 70s to me, so I paired them with my go-to Bad Sandy wooden heels and a vintage shirt from Re-Dress. I absolutely love these jeans because they have a flattering cut and have a great stretch. I also like the secure clasp along with the button on these jeans because it keeps them from bulging. Thanks, Shoedazzle--- these may be my new favorite jeans!

Verdict: There were some hits and misses with my Shoedazzle order this month. My main gripe is with the bikini top I received. I am pleased that Shoedazzle offers plus sizes, but I would like for them to put more thought into their plus size suit options in their cuts and how they are structured. I also would love to see far more of the straight size selections made available in plus sizes as well. Shoedazzle has made improvements, but there is room for more! Considering the average size of women in America is a size 16; the plus market is one that should be catered to even more! Us bodacious babes want better, stylish options and are willing to spend the money! The big plus this month was my favorite piece: the Miracle Skinny jeans—their name says it all! I can’t complain too much though, I got all three pieces for $63.51 during the 40% off statewide sale! What a deal!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The mock turtleneck style dress is sold out, but the bikini and jeans are still available on the Shoedazzle site.

Coupon - Get your first two styles for $39.95! No code need, just use this link!

Value BreakdownThis order for a dress, pants, and bikini came up to $63.51 during a 40% off sitewide sale. If I had ordered these items as a non-VIP I would have paid $146.85 and for VIP $105.85. I saved about 56% total with the VIP sale! That is a heck of a deal!

This company used to be owned by the Kartrashians and they sold it after the controversy of the sweatshop conditions in China. The workers get paid $15 a month after they take out lunch money

Where are the shoes????? Good price on the clothing. You can’t do any better than that. It is summer time and time to get your toe nails painted like your fingernails. LOL

Thanks for checking out my review, Virginia! I usually try to focus on the plus size clothing options Shoedazzle carries since I feel most folk don’t know they exist. Plus gives folks a feel for the sizing. I have reviewed their shoes in past reviews, but maybe that will be the May goal. Thanks again!

I hate when companies just assume tgey can make a larger version of an item and call it plus size. Dita von Teese did a great job explaining why a lot of bras in smaller sizes can’t be replicated in larger sizes without making various adjustments.

Thanks so much, Michelle! I love that top and hadn’t worn it in ages. It reminds me of Warhol’ s flower prints!

Those jeans look great on you.
I have a question about the fit of jeans, if you dont mind. My 16 year old daughter is incredibly self conscious. So, you mentioned buldging…do you mean when the material in front looks like you have an…ahem…”package? ” She won’t wear any pants that do that and most do. Does the extra clasp help with that issue?

Nicole Rieder

I did mean bulge, but not the bulge you are speaking of. Like sometimes if you don’t have something to secure the fabric may get a ripple or bulge in th3 fabric. But no your daughter should be able to wear these confidently! These pants are nice and stretchy and super comfortable.

Elise

I think she meant to say budging

Nicole Rieder

Nah, I meant bulging. But that applies too, Elise.

Sheree

Those jeans need a belt, I think.
