We wanted to give you the heads up that as of today, April 21st, our shipping rate for US members will be increasing by $1 to $7.99 per box (was $6.99 previously). This increase is a reflection of the gradual hike in shipping rates generally and is OwlCrate's first shipping increase in three years.
The upside to all this is that we will be able to continue shipping your boxes via USPS Priority Mail, which is by far the fastest, most reliable shipping method we've found over the years (typically 1-3 day delivery nationwide). We've also heard through the grapevine that USPS may be moving to 7-day Priority Mail delivery later this year! So hopefully you'll soon be receiving your OwlCrate boxes even faster!
As you may have noticed, we have also been working very hard over the past year to provide even more value in each box. We are doing so by including exclusive signed books (with unique covers), high-quality exclusive items (such as pillowcases, mugs, wall tapestries, beanies, scarves, etc), and by continuing to work with more amazing small businesses and artists. We promise that this will continue for future boxes, and that the retail value of the goodies you find inside your OwlCrate boxes will always far exceed the cost of a subscription (shipping included!). We have so many exciting things coming this year!

We're firm believers that the world could always use a bit more girl power! Our May box is inspired by some of our all-time favorite literary heroines. Our book pick is a brutal Viking-inspired tale featuring a main character who is a warrior in every sense of the word. It's a story about fighting for what you believe in, the bonds between family, and what loyalty truly means. The book will also be an OwlCrate exclusive edition which will be signed by the author! There will be kick-butt goodies inspired by characters from Children of Blood and Bone, A Court of Wings and Ruin, Harry Potter, Six of Crows and more!
