So many personalized touches!

Jewly Box March 2018 Review 0007

Hello to you too, Jewlybox!

Jewly Box March 2018 Review 0008

The booklet has a personal note from my Jewlybox stylist, Katie, and details on how to tag Jewlybox on Instagram to be featured on their account and to be entered to win next month free! How exciting!

As an FYI: the booklet doesn’t include retail values like the previous month’s review did.

Jewlybox also included a form about their mission statement to provide a service that makes their customers feel special from unboxing to helping add a special pop to the women they style’s outfits. Not only that but that Jewlybox is going to donate 5% of all proceeds towards Dress for Success to help empower women through fashion further! This is marvelous news!

Blue Iridescent Dangle Earrings

These earrings made me think of my dearly departed Grandma Rieder. She was born in March and loved pastel shades, especially blues similar to her Aquamarine birthstone. I sense she would have loved these! The powder blue beads have an opalescent finish that makes them look pink in some lights. These dangle but they are not too showy and would pair with any ensemble whether casual or more formal.

Beaded String Bracelet

This delicate bracelet feels like a fancy, adult friendship bracelet. It is strung with metallic gold and shell-like beads. This piece is a tad bit too demure for my taste, I would probably need six of these layered on to feel like my glitzy self. This bracelet can certainly be layered with other bracelets to give a more eccentric and eclectic look.

Golden Waterfall Necklace

This may be my favorite piece this month that fits my style and personality the best from March’s Jewlybox! This necklace actually is rather similar to a pair of earrings I received from CHC Vintage’s Accessory box I reviewed last month! This necklace has dramatic, cascading gold chains soldered onto the pendant. This is an immensely theatrical piece. The chain is longer but does have an adjustable clasp to personalize the length to your liking. This can be worn with an LBD to add a glamorous, golden pop or with your favorite floral BOHO style dress come the warmer weather.

Verdict: Like the first month, I enjoyed receiving this posh box of trinkets! The packaging is so luxe! The only negative is I didn’t feel the selections this month were totally me. My favorite piece far and away was the gorgeous golden waterfall necklace. The bracelet included this month was the least like me. It was far too delicate for my style and personality. Plus, you can’t go wrong with the first month free or with the newly lowered rates! In addition, I do love that they are giving proceeds to a group like Dress for Success because I strongly believe that style and fashion are incredibly empowering and giving to a group like that is monumental! All in all, I am enjoying Jewlybox and am looking forward to my April box to see what is in store!

Could you *please* update the site so we can post for swaps from this box?! I have emailed several times with no response. Thank you!

Awesome! Thank you very much!!

Kathy

I enjoyed my Jewlybox. I received a two pairs of earrings and a statement necklace.

Shana

I actually loved my box. The pieces went perfectly together, and matched my style completely (something I think jewelry boxes don’t often do, since i’m sort of a weird bird).

Nicole Rieder

Awe, well I am glad you had such a great experience, Shana!

Anya

Hi Nicole! Could MSA add this box to the swap site? My box had a couple pieces that weren’t for me and I’d like to place them up for swap. Thanks!

Amy

It’s up there now.

Marissa

Yes please!! Two of my pieces were far too simple for me and I need to find them a good home! Liz, can you add it if the reviewer can’t?

Amy

Agreed! Please add it to the swap site.

Melissa

I just received my first Jewlybox and it was nothing like the ones I’ve seen reviewed online.

Strangely, I received what seemed to be a random assortment of 3 cheap and unattractive necklaces that went completely against what was in my style profile.

Nicole Rieder

Awe man, that is a shame, Melissa! I would even suggest reaching out to Jewlybox to give feedback!

Reply ButtonReply

Anya

Melissa, I don’t think my style profile was taken into account at all either. I can make one of the pieces work, but the other two are completely opposite of my preferences.

I feel like this company must in some way be associated with Rocksbox. The packaging that the items comes in, the way the box ties, and especially the printed materials with the “Hey Nicole!” all screams Rocksbox to me. It’s just too similar to be a coincidence! Anyone have any info on this?

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

I mentioned the similarity on the last review of this sub.

Beth

This is the first review I saw. But I’m glad to know there’s at least one other person who noticed the similarity. It’s way too much to be a coincidence!!

Also, @Nicole, I looked at their website and they have the bracelet you received listed in their shop as

“Anna Tassel Beaded Bracelet” ($25).

One of my big peeves with Rocksbox was that they frequently omitted critical info in their product descriptions, like the length on many of their earrings and necklaces. Here, it’s worse: they provide no info at all on any of their products, just the name and price!
