I don’t know about the “complainers” but I’m stoked to try out new eyeliners. I’m always on the hunt for a good 24 hour black liner and Still fits the bill. I never would have bought it on my own. My daughter has extremely tangled hair and the ghost oil works great. I haven’t been able to open the Bobby Brown. Maybe I need pliers. I think the value is there for the box and of course their going to send Sephora products it’s Sephora! FFS find another box ladies and stop complaining

I’m convinced they don’t read the profiles at all! I have fine, stick straight oily hair and ended up with 364 too! Two deep conditioning products? Come on! I need volumizing! Plus another tiny eyeliner, a microscopic luminizer and another setting spray. I worked out the value at 32 dollars and with the stuff I don’t use I ended up paying 10 bucks for a face wash and a one time use primer. I’ve got to cancel and find another box!

Has anyone that has received the supergoop had a problem with it? I got it in my box and can’t figure out if im doing something wrong or if it’s defective. I shook it very well and when I press down sprayer nothing comes out. I opened the bottle to peek in it and inside it looks like gelatin. I mean i get its goop but it’s so solidified that it won’t come out the sprayer. And I don’t think I should try rubbing the gel on my face since its supposed to be a setting spray that might mess my makeup up right? Thanks for any help!

I don’t understand what people are upset about. These are awesome variations. Alot of mixture between hair,skin care and make up …really good brands too. You can’t beat all them items for $10 …and free shipping.
I know it’s impossible for them to please everyone ….but man people are tough on subscription boxes . Especially the cheaper ones. I also know they do like to receive constructive criticism, but most of it is just super high expectations and complaining.

I agree. I love my play and the bag is great this month super soft. Everyone has to read something or be offended or complain. People BE HAPPY is a subscription box. If you don’t like it stop subscribing.

Patiently waiting for my box to be delivered. Was supposed to be here on saturday, my birthday but they updated the delivery to Monday. Waited all day then the shipping info was updated at 7:15 pm saying the item is “undeliverable as addressed”! WTF, it’s a recurring sub and the address is always the same. I was actually looking forward to this box #876.

I got my box, 843, and I got not one but two repeats from past play boxes…. The Sephora pencil eyeliner in love affair (a purple brown color, that I actually do like but literally never use it so I have the full sample from last time still) AND the ghost oil (which I haven’t tried yet but I definitely don’t need a backup)… I also have a deluxe sample of the cleanser already too that I haven’t tried yet, but thats from a Sephora favorites kit not a , so that’s not their fault.

I am excited to try the lip color, though I don’t think it’ll look good on me and I’m not too impressed with two Sephora brand products in one box. And the spf primer (?) looks nice so I’ll use that at least! The frizz sheet sounds nice too, but that’s only one use.

I’m not upset or gonna cancel, but I’m definitely not excited with this box

hi! i also got this box, I will receive it tomorrow though.. just curious, what color is the sephora lip stain? I actually loved the red one I got in a past box and i just ran out of that, so hopefully this new one comes in a nice shade 🙂

OK, I can see why they left the spoilers for this one until the very end. Dear lord. This is the box I got, too. I’m VIB Rouge, this subscription is linked to my profile; you’d think they’d be able to see that I would use NONE of these products.

I don’t think this one is even worth posting for a swap. I’ll toss the mascara, powder, and cleansing water into my giveaways bag, and probably forget about the hair product. The one thing I might try is that setting spray to use as a travel size option vs. my regular Urban Decay one.

Agreed! I’ve never heard so many ungrateful people in one forum. To hey act like Sephora is sending them a bunch of LA Girl and Wet and Wild products. No matter what is sent it seems you can’t please everyone. They could be sending out Golden bricks and someone would be pissed it wasn’t silver. Either cancel or stop bitching. I personally am always on the hunt for a better eyeliner so I’m fine with that. I don’t need more lippies, mascaras, eyeliner, eyeshadow, or any of it. I’m a collector and I understand that a sub box isn’t going to not send you an eyeliner because you emailed them. Lil

I hated my box so much that I cancelled. I have 13 beauty boxes and this one was by far the worst one. I was beyond disappointed. Not to mention my first box which was supposed to be february,, said it was shipped and I waited two weeks. I waited and contacted my post office who said they never got the shipment. Called Sephora and they ran out of boxes! How rude? I was charged and never sent my box. Spent an hour on the phone with the post office in 20 minutes on the phone with Sephora just to find out I don’t get my boss!

I got box #364 and i am not impressed. I was expecting a sample of perfume and few nicer things, the only thing i like is the Stila Eyeliner but i will give Sephora Play one more chance and if it does not meet my expectations, i will be cancelling the subscription. I guess i am new so they sent me this box but i wont have it for too long if they Sephora keeps acting like this.

I got this box too. Extremely disappointed. So many boxes with nice shampoos I would love to try, BB creams, etc. I get this! It was such a joke! I cant believe there is such a huge discrepancy on the products from one box to another. Every month is the same thing…I see some boxes I would love to get and end up always receiving the worse one.

I got the same and our box got less products.
The tubes are tiny they are mini samples that are mostly 1 time try.
I did get a black eyeliner last month .
I did sub this box as a Christmas gift for my 17 year old and did the profile for her and I am shocked that these are the products they would send a teenager.
She will not complain at all she loves any and all beauty but I fell ripped off and will find her another sub.

I got this one too. It was my first and will be the last. Not worth it at all. Was hoping for skin and eye and perfume samples. So disappointing. Not worth the $.

I got Box 876 and love it the purple lip stain, bye bye under eye is an amazing product! Dry oil shampoo and conditioner a Becca primer! The hair leave in conditioner smells like coconut heaven. Today is my 9 year anniversary and my husband got me a beautiful Micheal Korrs diamond and gold braclet! This is better than Christmas!

Mine is 677 and I received it yesterday. While it’s better than most of the variants this month I’m starting to get bored with Play. Sephora has WAY too many variants and in general I don’t think these variants are making subscribers any happier with the box.

Agreed. I got 677 too and finally cancelled my subscription. The sample sizes are just so small. I don’t think some of them contain enough product to know if you like the item or not or if it works for you.

I had already decided to cut back on some of my subs and Sephora made it easy this month.

I’m glad I’m not getting #884 and I’m not 100% mad at my box #685 because of the buxom lip liner that I’ve been wanting to try…I just hope it’s a good color. *Fingers crossed* I would have preferred box #850 because I wanted to also try the Sephora foundation powder. Can someone please tell me your skin color chosen for people who are getting box #850 because I’m light (really light to medium) skin color and if it’s for porcelain people than it would be too light and wouldn’t work out just like box #884 looks like it would be too dark. If you put light than it’s unfortunate I didn’t get that box. Still not the perfect box because I would have liked the stilla eyeliner since that’s my ride or die liquid liner and I would like to also try the Sephora lip stain. You can’t always get what you want…that’s definitely for sure with play boxes. 😝

I have fair skin and I did receive a light color. I have not tried it, though. My box was #850 and the Lancome cleanser is the smallest I’ve ever seen! There was only enough product for 1 use.

Super happy with Box #876 …absolutely worth it for the Dr Jart BB cream, It Undereye illuminator and the Becca primer …I’ve wanted to try all of these products but hadn’t splurged on them yet, so I’m a happy girl. The Sephora lip stain is a hideous shade of purple so that will go unused for sure …I don’t even know anyone to give purple lip color to …so eh. The Bumble and Bumble samples are the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil ….I have oily hair so I’m unsure about this, but I do love the actual hair oil for my ends, so I’ll give it a try.

I think it’s a toss up between this and 843, on who got the short end of the stick. 843 also has two Sephora products, eyeliner and lipstain! I couldn’t agree with you more! I think I’d of rather had this box, I could have used the volumizing spray or even the powder foundation. My box is a huge fail for me.

I received #843 box and was so mad I sent a complaint to Sephora CS about it. I’m normally happy with this subscription. Even when the products aren’t the most exciting or complete misses, I can appreciate it as a $10 opportunity to try a few different items just for fun. But TWO SEPHORA PRODUCTS? There’s no excuse for repeats, be it product or brand, and especially when it’s the lowest quality brand. Sorry Sephora, but I don’t want your leftovers!! *facepalm*

Wanted the Dr. Jart BB cream!! Dry skin, age 50-something and they send me powder foundation? In what world does that make any sense? LOL.

I just canceled. They did not follow my profile at all. I have fine, oily, thin and needs volume, checked for hair… I got ghost oil and a frizz sheet. Lip Stain and another Eyeliner. So very disappointed after all the great items that are shown in other boxes.

I wrote in and Sephora’s response was to fill out my play profile! That they pick the box based on that. Clearly they didn’t read my message, because that’s exactly why I’m upset, because they ignored it completely!

Very VERY unhappy with them right now.
