Papergang is a monthly stationery subscription box from quirky UK design team, Ohh Deer. Each month they partner with a different artist and have a theme to bring you paper goods and desk accessories. This month's artist feature is Peskimo.
The packaging is always awesomely eye-catching, and usually, they pair with a monthly artist whose designs are featured both on the box and on the goodies throughout it. This month's theme features the retro geometric trees with the world's most adorable little foxes sleeping, smiling, and, you know, just hanging out in the funky forest they live in. I'm a big fan of the color orange, so I'm digging every aspect of this design. I'm liking the way Papergang switched it up with a tube instead of a box this month! The downside is that there's no quirky cardboard cut-out critter (is that enough alliteration for ya?) on the back. The upside is that they're keeping things fresh!

Papergang March 2018 Review
Papergang includes a fun little info booklet each month that matches the box and theme of the contents! Let's go through it together...
Open the booklet and you'll find the contents of this box (Box #25) (also, can I call this tube a box? Will that bother you? I'm going to call it a box.). On the opposite page is a quote from one of the illustrators in the duo that makes up Peskimo. The artists' names are David and Jodie and it's so obvious that they have fun with their art from what little I've seen so far.
The next pages hold an interview with David and Jodie. Apparently, it wasn't their art connection but rather shared music interests that initially brought them together. Ah, the great unifier! The interview gives some insight into how they go about co-designing and where the name Peskimo came from.

Cat Naps Litho Print - Listed Value About $15.99 USD (£12.95)
Oh my word, my heart is so, so incredibly full from this amazing print! It's like a portrait of my home! I love the bright turquoise color used in this design. This print is obviously the reason this month's box was a tube-shaped box, so this guy arrived pretty curled up. Here I have it spread out on my dining room table with some things holding down the edges. It measures about 16.5 x 23.25 inches, and a quick internet search shows me that 16 x 22 poster frames are pretty easy to obtain inexpensively, so if I have to do some minor trimming, that's fine. I can't wait to display this amazing art in my home!
Foxy Forest Skinny Pencil Case - Listed Value About $12.28 USD (£9.95)
Do I need to become a pencil case user? I haven't used one since maybe elementary school, but I have plunged my entire arm in my purse looking for a pen almost daily, so maybe this is about to be my new lifestyle. You already know how I feel about the 'Foxy Forest' pattern and I like that this faux-leather case is slim and small. I guess I'm a pencil case person now. Awesome!
Foxy Forest Washi Tape - Listed Value About $3.09 USD (£2.50)
This washi tape is such a treasured gift because it means I can spread the foxy love far and wide! I can think of a few friends who would lose their dang minds over those little personality-filled foxes and I am prepared to be the bearer of cuteness for them. Oh yes, this tape is going to appear allllll throughout my life. I can't wait.
Cat Naps Pen - Listed Value About $3.63 USD (£2.95)
Thank you, Papergang, for providing me with the first pen to go in my new pencil case! It's got a fine tip and the kind of ink you find in fountain pens. Like, the darker, gel-er type of ink. Not the kind that you find in, like, a Bic ballpoint. What is this called? Someone help me out here!
Bonus: May Calendar Card - Estimated Value $1.35? (£1?)
Finally, the riso printed calendar that's always included as a little bonus item in each Papergang box! I have these little calendars scattered on random surfaces throughout my house (not on purpose), but I'm thinking I really need to collect them and find a way to display them so that I'm actually using them on a monthly basis. Anyone have any ideas?
Verdict: After a couple months of rather feminine colors and designs, I'm so glad that Papergang has chosen to feature Peskimo's bolder colors and patterns. I swear the two prints included in this box could make anyone smile! And I love smiling! I really, really love this month's offerings. I received a print, a pencil case, a roll of washi tape, a pen, and a bonus calendar card, which added up to about $36 USD. That's an awesome value, considering the box itself is $18.80 USD, including shipping costs!
