There are two levels of subscription: Essential and Premium. The Essential subscription comes with one handpicked artisan item each month, and the Premium comes with a full curated collection. globein booklet

Each box from GlobeIn contains a pamphlet that talks more about the theme for the box and the items inside.

Just a heads up, there aren't prices listed in the booklet for the items, so I'm going off the prices given in this Globein spoilers post!

blue rimmed margarita glasses

margarita glasses set

margarita glass

Set of 2 Martini Glasses, Mexico - Listed Value $32.00 ($16.00 each)

These martini glasses are the centerpiece of this "buzzed" box! I consider them margarita glasses, though Globein labels them otherwise. Just looking at this sturdy pair of handmade glasses makes me crave a sweet and salty, frosty cocktail! The glasses are short, at about 4.25" tall. I think they're rather cute sitting on my table! The glass is watery smooth, and the blue rims give them a festive feel.

cocktail jigger

upside down cocktail jigger

silver jigger

Jigger, India - Listed Value $10.00

To help with cocktail creating, they box includes this jigger. I honestly don't know all that much about bartending and cocktail-making, so while I've seen one of these guys before, I've never actually used one. The beauty of the tool is that the bigger end holds 1 oz. of liquid while the smaller end holds 0.5 oz., making it easy to measure out your recipe with one device. I'll have to try making some of my favorite out-on-the-town cocktails in my own kitchen now!

rug shaped coasters

rug coasters

blue and tan coasters

Set of 2 Zapotec Coasters, Mexico - Listed Value $15.00

I love how these handmade coasters look like little rugs! The blue hues in them are gorgeous—I love the bright blues and cool aqua—and match beautifully with the blue rims of the glasses. They measure about 5.25" x 6", so they work well with big-based glasses and mugs. I'm not always great at remembering to use a coaster (sorry coffee table!), but the fun, quirky quality of these woven coasters will be a nice encouragement!

basket with lid

patterned basket

Palm Leaf Basket, Mexico - Listed Value $15.00

I loooove when GlobeIn sends baskets like these! They've become one of the best things I have in my house. I like the casual look softer-woven baskets like this one, plus the fact that it has a lid makes it perfect for keeping cluttering pens, pencils, craft supplies, candles, toiletries, accessories, or any other little objects out of sight and out of mind. This one measures about 6" tall and wide and has a deep indigo-purple hue to its pattern.

drink marker

Set of 2 Wine Charms, India - Listed Value $10.00

I never think to pick up wine charms, and yet I'm always confusing my wine glass with someone else's at a party. Not anymore! This set of beaded wine markers is a little more crafty than my usual style, but when you're having a party, you want something a little more festive and playful, right? One has an elephant charm on it, while the other has a fish. I love elephants, so I can see calling dibs on that one!

The Verdict: I just love this subscription. The items bring color and fun into my home, for one, but also, they're just such nice quality! The glasses, in particular, feel ultra sturdy. All of that's made better by the fact that these are ethically traded products, so you know they're contributing to the well-being of real people. I appreciate that they take the time to tell the stories of those artisans in the info booklet. The box is $50.00 (cost plus shipping), which might sound like a lot, but given how nice the items are and that they're fair trade, I think it's a great deal at about $10.00 per item.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! If you subscribe by the 15th, you can choose to get this box. Premium Box schedule from Globein:

1st - 5th: Customize your theme and choose add-ons!
10th: Last day to cancel or skip before getting this month's box (and add-ons).
15th: Last day to update your shipping address
18th - 21st: Your box starts to ship!

Coupon – Use coupon code MSAWELCOME to save $10.00 off any subscription

Value Breakdown: At $50.00 for this box ($40.00 + $10.00 shipping), each item has an average price of about $10.00. But I estimate that I got about $82.00 worth of retail value, meaning proportionally, I spent the following on each item:

  • Glasses: $19.51
  • Wine charms: $6.10
  • Coasters: $9.15
  • Jigger: $6.10
  • Basket: $9.15
