Facetory SEVEN LUX February 2018 Review
This month’s theme is all about glowing from your heart! As always, there is a monthly information card that outlines each mask from the box! There is a little description so you know exactly how to use each mask. I was excited to see that the information seems to list out a bit differently on this month’s card as well highlighting key ingredients on their own and exactly how they can help your skin. This is super helpful!
Karatica DNA Couple Mask – Listed Value $4.00
This is two masks in one pack, so you are basically getting a bonus mask this month! It does say that you can share with your friend or sweetie, but I decided to keep both for myself since my skin is in need of some love. The first mask is filled with rose damascena flower extract which helps to cleanse your skin while preventing blemishes. It can also sooth irritations and calm any redness. I was suffering from some mild breakouts and decided to use this mask before bed, waking to a very clean and smooth skin. I used the second mask in the morning as it is meant to control oil and help your pores. It is made of a rose fiber sheet which helps to lock in moisture, which is why I decided to use this right before applying my makeup. This mask set was so perfect for helping my breakouts while still providing me with the moisture that I need this time of year.
Nohj Botanical Cotton Sheet Mask Revitalizing – Retail Value $2.99
This mask is meant to bring back your skin’s energy, something I need this time of year! Some of the key ingredients include lemon extract which protects any old damage and brightens your skin. Other ingredients include aloe vera extract and Centella Asiatica extract which will help to soothe your skin while providing it with anti-aging elements. I thought the scent of the mask was a bit overwhelming with a strong floral scent, but I really loved how bright and fresh my skin looked after using this mask.
Blossom Jeju Red Camellia Soombi 2 Step Deep Nourishing Petal Mask – Retail Value $6
This mask is made with all-natural products from Jeju, the largest volcanic island off of South Korea. Since this is a two-step mask, you are going to start by applying the pure camellia face oil which is an antioxidant that provides deep moisture. The second part is to use the sheet mask. The mask is filled with soybean extract and beta-glucan extract that will work to nourish your skin. I used this mask in the evening before bed to allow all of these rich ingredients to really soak in and I was not disappointed! I woke to glowing skin that had a fresh dewy look to it, perfect for applying my morning makeup. I want to use this mask all the time, but especially in the winter months when my skin is so incredibly dry.
Feelxo Hydra Rose Mask – Retail Value $4.50
This mask had a lovely rosewater scent that was so light and fresh. The mask provided my skin with a cooling sensation while I wore it which was super relaxing. This mask is made with rose flower extract, olive fruit oil, and Persea avocado fruit extract which all help to lock in moisture, provide a deep hydration, and is also rich in antioxidants. I did this mask in the morning and was so surprised to see how smooth my skin looked after removing the mask! I even noticed that some of my blemishes were less red which is always a plus!
Dr. UNM Pink Repair Cream Mask – Listed Value $4.00
This is the perfect mask to use when we are so deep into the winter. My skin is screaming for some hydration at all times, but winter it can really get into bad shape. This mask is made with panthenol which provides your skin with an ultimate hydration that goes deep into the layers of your skin. It also contains allantoin and madecassoside which helps to soothe irritated skin while adding a protective layer to your skin as well. I used this mask in the evening to ensure ultimate hydration, and I woke to beautiful skin that was glowing! I normally have dry patches, but I could see a big difference even days after using this mask. Plus, it has this lovely light scent that was extremely relaxing.
Hello Skin Jumiso Rich Nourishing Mask – Retail Value $3
This is another nourishing mask that is made with black ginseng extract and argan oil. Both are meant to nourish and protect your skin with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Plus, this mask will also help with anti-aging to keep your skin extra healthy. I used this mask in the evening, as I do most of my masks, and loved the cooling sensation it gave my skin that lingered even after removing the mask. I woke to super hydrated skin that had a balmy look to it that I really loved and allowed my makeup to go on smoothly. One thing that I also noticed was that some puffiness around my eyes had gone down which was a lovely surprise!
Lapcos Skin First Oil Wrap Mask – Retail Value $4
This mask was unlike any other that I have tried! It is all about locking in moisture from oils. Made with jojoba seed oil which has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients to help soothe irritated skin. It also contains sweet almond oil which removes debris from deep in your pores and rosemary leaf oil that protects your skin cells from damage. The monthly information card does note that since this is an oil based mask, you are going to want to make sure you don’t get it on your clothes as it can stain. The mask had a lovely oil smell to it and it really stuck onto my skin nicely. I can’t say that I noticed a huge difference in my skin after using this mask, just a little more moisturized, but the oil did feel as though it was just resting on my skin rather than it really absorbing the oils.
Verdict: Facetory came in strong with the ultra-hydrating masks this month, perfect for the end of winter dry skin blues! Each mask was all about locking in moisture, providing healing agents, and adding a protective barrier to heal any damaged skin. I don’t know about you, but my skin is dry all the time, but winter really causes some major damage. I am so happy to see that Facetory takes the time of year into account when curating each month’s mask collection. This month was all about healing and I was so happy to see a new mask that was unlike so many others that I have tried!
