Candy Club February 2018 Review

Spring Candies on the site 2/20

Guess what? New Spring candy has landed at Candy Club! I'm trying to get at those Haribo Gummy Dinos, for sure.

New- candy club collections for holidays and special occasions

Candy Club is also starting to do monthly "collections" that coincide with holidays and important occasions!

info cards coming out of vellum envelope

You'll receive a vellum envelope with info and nutritional facts on all of your candies this month.

There is a short description of the candy on one side of the card.

And nutritional facts on the other. I personally never read these, but it's nice to have for those who wanna know!

Sweet's S'mores taffy

Sweet's S'mores Taffy

I normally don't go for taffy for some reason, but I love S'mores so I had to give these a try. They are impossibly soft and just chewy enough with a sweet flavor that actually reminds me of caramel more than anything. It's hard for me to distinguish the separate marshmallow, graham cracker, and chocolate flavors, but overall they are tasty and satisfy my sweet tooth!

Taste of Nature Cookies n Cream Bites

Do you ever scrape the cream from the inside of an Oreo, then roll it into a ball? Then do you smash up the cookie part and smoosh them into the cream ball? No? Ok, well if you DID, you'd basically have these cookies n cream bites! These ultra-sweet little nibs encapsulate everything you'd love from a cookies n cream-flavored candy bar or treat. There is a bit of a weird after-taste to these that taste kind of "fake", but they do taste good when shoveling into your mouth.

Taste of Nature Cookie Dough Bites in Chocolate Chip

Whoa- these are decadent! If the cookies n cream bites were enough for you, then go even further with these chocolate covered chocolate chip cookie dough bites! Just a few of these sends me into sugar shock, but they truly do taste just like raw cookie dough that has been dunked in a rich creamy chocolate. A little goes a long way here.

Nassau Sour Gummy Octopus

I'm glad there are some gummies to give me a little break from all the creamy chocolate! Even though these mixed pastel and bold-colored octopi are "sour" they aren't so tart that they make my mouth hurt (like some of the sour belts I get from Candy Club). Each one has a blue head with yellow, pink, and green tentacles attached, all coated in sour sugar. I want to say these have a sort of tropical fruity flavor as well, which I find really appealing!

Verdict: I received three pounds of candy via Candy Club in 4 varieties. Since I didn't choose what I wanted this month, they sent me surprise candy which ended up being stuff I liked, so I was pleased. For me, there is certainly too much to get through, even in a month, so I can share this all with friends and coworkers. You can certainly go pick out your own candies at a bulk store and maybe pay a bit less per pound, but this way you don't have to mess with the mall and you can have mystery varieties arrive.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You won't get this exact box since you can either choose your candy or have it chosen at random for you!

Value Breakdown: At $38.98 for this box on the month-to-month plan, you’re paying about $12.99 per pound of candy.

I liked the idea of this sub but cost way too much. My husband can go through a couple pounds of candy in a week so this box is not cost effective. I did gift this to him for his birthday and he loved it. But I am going to stick to 4.5lb bags at sam’s club for $8.
