Wantable Style Edit Plus Clothing December 2017 Review
When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Christina. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $428. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $105.60. That’s a deep discount!
Embroidered Bell Sleeve Dress by Hayden Los Angeles – Cost to Keep $30 (on sale from $49!)
This cotton dress is just a little too loud for me, I think. I love the embroidery and the idea behind it, but the colors are a little too primary for my tastes. It’s really cute! But it also feels kind of thin and summery. I usually love pieces from Hayden Los Angeles, but I’m not really feeling this one.
Banded Bottom Peasant Top by Lucky Brand – Cost to Keep $59
I love all things Lucky Brand, but I don’t know about this top. Banded bottoms tend to be pretty unflattering on me, and I think that’s the case with this cotton knit top, too. I like the drawstring neckline, though, and I love the print!
Pleated Skirt by DEX – Cost to Keep $60
Wearing this cotton-blend skirt makes me feel a bit like I’m singing in a chorale like it’s part of a uniform. The length is not good for me, and I do not usually look good in pleating. This is not something I would wear.
V-Neck Long Sleeve Top by W. by Wantable – Cost to Keep $64
This knit top is super comfortable! It’s very basic, but it looks reasonably good. It feels like it’s a nice quality, too. It seems little expensive for what it is, though.
Radiance Wash Skinny Jean by RWN by Rawan – Cost to Keep $68
As skinny jeans go, these are a nice quality for a pretty good price. I like the wash, and they have just the right amount of stretch. Otherwise, they are just cute and basic.
Jenna Peasant Blouse by Lucky Brand – Cost to Keep $79
I think my stylist has *somehow* figured out how much I love Lucky Brand! Oddly enough, however, I don’t think either Lucky Top looks very good on me this month. This is a satin blouse with lovely, stylish details at the neck and sleeve. It is really a beautiful shade of rose, too. I think I just universally look better with a more open neckline.
Printed Surplice Flare Sleeve Top by Lauren Helena – Cost to Keep $68
This poly/spandex top is really cute! I feel like it’s something I would not have chosen for myself, but now that I’m trying it I kind of like it. I really like the flowy sleeves! The colors are cool, too.
The Verdict: I really love my Wantable Style Edit! Having said that, this month was not my favorite. Last month was great, but I guess every so often I do get a box that’s not a total hit. I liked a couple of the tops, but I wasn’t really in love with anything. I feel like, in terms of cost and value, Wantable sends a good mix of inexpensive and pricier pieces. I also love that they send seven pieces! It’s so fun!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!
Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside was $428.00. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $322.40 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s a savings of about 25%. The average price per piece is $61.14.

What do you think of Wantable Style Edit? What did you receive in your box this month?
I agree with you! I’ve looked at your other reviews. Usually they do a good job. This shipment was a dud. Maybe they didn’t even have anything good to pick from. They should have just skipped. And I too hate when I love the fabric but not the style. The rose color is very complementary. The style not so much.
The rose top is SO pretty! Have you tried wearing tie neck tops open? Or tying just a knot much lower down? I never tie them up all way and I find I like the look much better. Maybe play around with it before returning because I think it’s very pretty on you.
Thanks AmyM! That’s a good idea.
I think that skirt looks beautiful on you! But if you don’t love it, it’s not worth keeping.
Thanks hip!
I did not like the first dress it was not flattering I don’t think. The last top was definitely really pretty though I liked that on her a lot
Thanks Chris!
Out of the tops, I felt only the last complemented your body. All the others felt kind of misguided – frumpy, not enough shape to them. And all of it feels out of season. Kind of odd choices. I also find basics kind of difficult to go for at this price point, even if the fit is good.
Good point Erica.
