Wantable Style Edit Plus Clothing December 2017 Review

wantable style edit december 2017 note

When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Christina. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.

This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $453. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $110.60. That's a deep discount!

Erica Long Sleeves Dress Black Beauty by Junarose

Erica Long Sleeves Dress Black Beauty by Junarose - Cost to Keep $79

This cotton spandex blend dress is kind of lightweight, and from the front, it looks kind of uninteresting. But I LOVE the back! It's so cool! I don't think I have anything like it. Could this be the perfect dress for the holiday updo season?

Lace Top Black / Nude by DEX

Lace Top Black / Nude by DEX - Cost to Keep $60

I think this top is really cute for the holidays! The lace is just lovely! It's a polyester top with lace insets, and I feel like it's very well made. The stylist notes say to pair it with jeans (as pictured here), but I think it might go better with a pencil skirt?

Fashion Queen Slim Dark Blue Jeans by Junarose - Cost to Keep $79

These jeans are so cute! They have a low spandex content, so they hold their shape and structure really well. They are also somehow super comfortable. I'm just not sure, I have too many jeans!

Surplice Flare Sleeve Top by Lauren Helena

Surplice Flare Sleeve Top by Lauren Helena - Cost to Keep $58

I really like the angel sleeves on this slinky poly blend top! But, I don't like the cross-over in front... It could easily open over the belly if I bent or leaned in an awkward way, and I wouldn't want that. I've received tops like this before, and I just can't do it. I'm also not wild about the elastic blousing at the lower hem. It's very stylish though!

Jeggings w/Side Pocket by DEX - Cost to Keep $60

I have been hoping for a cool pair of moto style pants for a long time now, but I just haven't found the right ones yet. I had high hopes for these, but they just don't fit the bill. They are cotton with a low spandex content, but they don't fit right. I don't know if more spandex would have helped or not, to be honest! I am also not afraid to go up a size, but these just don't seem to be cut right for my shape. I do appreciate the short inseam, though!

Intermingle Hacci Elbow Sleeve Top by Wantable

Intermingle Hacci Elbow Sleeve Top by Wantable - Cost to Keep $58

I love a super comfy dolman sleeve top, and this one is perfect! It has a really luxuriously soft feel for a cotton blend, and while gray is not my favorite color, I really like this darker heathered shade. Plus I think it's pretty cute!

Maika Checked Shirt Navy Blazer by Junarose

Maika Checked Shirt Navy Blazer by Junarose - Cost to Keep $69

I am a big fan of Junarose, and I probably would really have liked this top if they had sent it in the right size. I love a good flannel shirt! The good quality ones just get warmer and softer over time, and this one feels like really good quality. Unfortunately, I cannot even button it to the size they sent. I don't know if I would love it enough to gamble on a size exchange - sometimes Junarose runs a bit small anyway...

The Verdict: I really love my Wantable Style Edit! This month was a mixture of hits and misses, but this was not one of my better boxes. I am surprised about the wrong size they sent, that's very unlike Wantable. But, I am seriously loving the dolman top, and seriously considering both the black dress and the lace top! I feel like, in terms of cost and value, Wantable sends a good mix of inexpensive and pricier pieces. I also love that they send seven pieces! It's so fun!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside was $453.00. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $342.40 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s a savings of about 24%.

Gosh this all looks so expensive for no wow factor. Nothing against you Anna, I think you are adorable but at those prices I would want to try on and pick out myself.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. These items cover the full color spectrum from black to, um, gray. Even the “green” jeans look gray. And then there’s the lumberjack shirt…

Couple that with the stylist notes that are completely generic, on par with a form letter, plus the high prices for truly meh clothes and this sub isn’t one I have ever felt compelled to jump on.

None of these items of clothing reflect Anna’s beauty and sense of style IMHO!
