This box came with two cards. One is all about the featured brand:

And the other is about the featured products:

And this month, there’s also a booklet for the entire Dr. Alkaitis product line:

Now, time for the items!

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Nourishing Treatment Oil – Retail Value $62

This oil can be used on your face and body, and it’s designed to improve skin elasticity and balance oil production. It’s made with all natural and organic ingredients and smells incredible – I love the essential oil blend.

It’s a lightweight oil, which may or may not have aloe vera as an ingredient (the ingredients on the box are different than the ingredients on the paper inside the package), but either way, my skin just drinks this in! It mostly absorbs quickly, leaving your skin a subtle glow.

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Universal Mask – Retail Value $39

This powder mask is formulated with 39 types of vegetables, including Spirulina, Chlorella, and Flaxseed extract! It’s designed to nourish, soothe, calm and rejuvenate sensitive, irritated and inflamed skin.

My skin has been super sensitive lately, so this sounds like my kind of mask.

To use, you mix one teaspoon of powder with one teaspoon of water and then apply the mask. Let sit for 10-20 minutes. (I love powder masks because they are easy to travel with, and they have a long shelf life.)

They also included a single use honey packet that you can use instead of water with the mask, so I opted for that.

I usually only use honey masks before I get into the shower since they can be messy, and no surprise, making your own honey mask is even messier. But on the upside, this mask with the honey blend delivered exactly what it promised – my skin felt soft and clean after removing it. Plus, no irritation!

Dr. Alkaitis Organic Herbal Toner – Retail Value $42

I may be wrong here, but I feel like most toners aren’t made with aloe vera, and now I’m thinking that might be why I don’t like most toners. This one is gentle on my skin, absorbs almost immediately, and you just apply a dime size amount with your fingers – to cotton swab needed. The scent is fab, too.

And this can work as a light moisturizer for people with oily complexions, and as an after-sun tonic.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $143. I think that’s a great value for the $49.95 cost, especially for full-size products from a high-end natural skincare line that is new to me! I really love everything in this box, too.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, right now you’re first box will be the January box. From Detox Box: The Detox Box ships the first week of each month via USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days), or as soon as it’s ordered while supplies last.

  1. I have to say I’ve really enjoyed using this toner on my combo skin. However, I don’t think I’ll repurchase it. It seems to absorb too fast, and I feel like I have to overuse this product to cover my whole face. If the bottle were larger or the price lower, I might repurchase, but I just have too many toners I also love that are longer lasting. I might pick it up in the future if I caught it on sale though. I’ve used the mask a couple of times, and like it. (Though truthfully I really hate the scent and hold my breath while I apply it, lol.)

  2. While this box always offers a great value and really nice brands, their products are a little too similar each month. I’ve been subscribing since they started (with a six-month sub), and we continue to get serums, masks, and toners. Like Chris, I’m having product overload. They need to switch up the types of products they are sending, like send a Rahua haircare box, for example. They could also send out a beauty profile, and send some of their fabulous makeup brands to try (like Vapour). If things haven’t changed when my sub ends in March, I’ll sadly be discontinuing this one.

  3. My January box still hasn’t shipped. 🙁 Has anybody else’s shipped, or have been received, yet? I looked at my account, and sure enough it’s showing my January box hasn’t shipped yet. I got a 6 month sub with the December box being my first box, and it’s showing only 1 box fulfilled, with 5 remaining. I know I should email them since they’re supposed to ship the first week of each month, but I might just wait until 2/1 just to give them a chance to ship in January.

Btw, December’s box was a great one! I’m not a fan of mixing dry masks with honey, so I gave that to my mom who’s more “adventurous” than I am. haha.

    • @luna, I received my box in early January. You should contact Detox Market to see what is going on!

      • Okay, will do. thank you for your reply. 🙂

      • I received mine in early January too. I have a 6 month sub I started in October 🙂 I love this box but need to take a break after my sub runs out due to product overload.

      • I got a reply from The Detox Market, and they confirmed that they accidentally skipped my account when processing the January boxes, and they’re shipping the January box to me asap. Thanks for the push to email them now instead of waiting. 🙂 I know I can be a bit complacent when it comes to these boxes. I guess it’s just me seeing if they’re going to come through on their end even when it seems like chances are they aren’t.
