And this month, there's also a booklet for the entire Dr. Alkaitis product line:
Now, time for the items!
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Nourishing Treatment Oil - Retail Value $62
This oil can be used on your face and body, and it's designed to improve skin elasticity and balance oil production. It's made with all natural and organic ingredients and smells incredible - I love the essential oil blend.
It's a lightweight oil, which may or may not have aloe vera as an ingredient (the ingredients on the box are different than the ingredients on the paper inside the package), but either way, my skin just drinks this in! It mostly absorbs quickly, leaving your skin a subtle glow.
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Universal Mask - Retail Value $39
This powder mask is formulated with 39 types of vegetables, including Spirulina, Chlorella, and Flaxseed extract! It's designed to nourish, soothe, calm and rejuvenate sensitive, irritated and inflamed skin.
My skin has been super sensitive lately, so this sounds like my kind of mask.
To use, you mix one teaspoon of powder with one teaspoon of water and then apply the mask. Let sit for 10-20 minutes. (I love powder masks because they are easy to travel with, and they have a long shelf life.)
They also included a single use honey packet that you can use instead of water with the mask, so I opted for that.
I usually only use honey masks before I get into the shower since they can be messy, and no surprise, making your own honey mask is even messier. But on the upside, this mask with the honey blend delivered exactly what it promised - my skin felt soft and clean after removing it. Plus, no irritation!
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Herbal Toner - Retail Value $42
I may be wrong here, but I feel like most toners aren't made with aloe vera, and now I'm thinking that might be why I don't like most toners. This one is gentle on my skin, absorbs almost immediately, and you just apply a dime size amount with your fingers - to cotton swab needed. The scent is fab, too.
And this can work as a light moisturizer for people with oily complexions, and as an after-sun tonic.
Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $143. I think that's a great value for the $49.95 cost, especially for full-size products from a high-end natural skincare line that is new to me! I really love everything in this box, too.
