This month they included a Thank You note and explanation about the subscription ending.
Here’s what they picked for me this month:
Robanda Retinol Facial Cleanser, 6 fl oz - Cost to keep: $7.58 (Retail Value $18)
What a great sized cleanser! I love the formula too. This creamy, non-foaming cleanser feels like a slick lotion when applied. It glides over skin making it great to use with a skin cleansing device, like a Clarisonic, to prevent irritation. I use a little facial sponge and warm water to wipe it away. It removes most makeup easily (waterproof mascara needs a swipe of eye makeup remover) and leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and comfortable. Win!
Three Custom Color Coral Lip Liner - Cost to keep: $6.95 (Retail Value $16.50)
This is a pretty basic, non-automatic lip liner. The shade is a nice bright coral. The pencil is a little hard and waxy compared to many of the great lip liners out now. The matte finish has good staying power.
Here is the lip liner on its own. It is super matte but I didn’t feel like it dried out my lips.
Bodyography Professional Cosmetics Lip Lava Liquid Lipcolor, Bittersweet, .08 fl oz - Cost to keep: $8 (Retail Value $19)
I like the dark nude shade of this liquid lip color. The finish is matte, very pigmented, and, once it dries down, long-lasting. The feel is smooth and not tacky. It has a light vanilla scent which reminds me of cupcakes.
Here is the liquid lip color layered over the lip liner which isn’t an exact match but works well with it. The formula is thin and the doe foot applicator is bigger than usual and made application a little less precise than I like. If I use this again, I’ll most likely use a lip brush to get cleaner lines.
Bodyography Professional Cosmetics Silk Cream Compact Foundation, Medium, .296 fl oz - Cost to keep: $13.47 (Retail Value $32)
I was surprised by the thinness of this foundation because I’m used to compact foundations having a thick, creamy consistency. This one feels like silk and is weightless. The compact comes with a mirror inside the lid and has a compartment for the sponge underneath the pan. The coverage is buildable and remains natural looking even after a couple of layers. I like to dampen the sponge to get BB cream-like coverage but applying with my fingertips works well too. This shade is great for my skin tone and is the second darkest out of their 8 shades.
Swatches from top to bottom: foundation, lip liner, liquid lip color.
Verdict: November’s Wantable Makeup Collection includes a great selection of products. I like the inclusion of a skincare product which turned out to be my favorite of the box. I’ll get plenty of use out of the other products as well. The value of this collection is $85.50 with free shipping.
