Wantable Makeup Subscription Box Review – November 2017

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Box

Wantable Makeup is one of several different subscription boxes offered by Wantable, including Wantable Intimates Collection, Style Edit, Fitness Edit, and Men’s Fitness Edit. At the beginning of the subscription, you fill out a fairly in-depth questionnaire to customize what you will receive in your box. You can update these preferences at any time from your profile.

FYI: Wantable Collections ended Dec. 1st so this is my last box. You can find out more here.

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Thanks Back

This month they included a Thank You note and explanation about the subscription ending.

Here’s what they picked for me this month:

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Cleanser

Robanda Retinol Facial Cleanser, 6 fl oz – Cost to keep: $7.58 (Retail Value $18)

What a great sized cleanser! I love the formula too. This creamy, non-foaming cleanser feels like a slick lotion when applied. It glides over skin making it great to use with a skin cleansing device, like a Clarisonic, to prevent irritation. I use a little facial sponge and warm water to wipe it away. It removes most makeup easily (waterproof mascara needs a swipe of eye makeup remover) and leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and comfortable. Win!

Three Custom Color Coral Lip Liner – Cost to keep: $6.95 (Retail Value $16.50)

This is a pretty basic, non-automatic lip liner. The shade is a nice bright coral. The pencil is a little hard and waxy compared to many of the great lip liners out now. The matte finish has good staying power.

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Face

Here is the lip liner on its own. It is super matte but I didn’t feel like it dried out my lips.

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Lip Detail

Bodyography Professional Cosmetics Lip Lava Liquid Lipcolor, Bittersweet, .08 fl oz – Cost to keep: $8 (Retail Value $19)

I like the dark nude shade of this liquid lip color. The finish is matte, very pigmented, and, once it dries down, long-lasting. The feel is smooth and not tacky. It has a light vanilla scent which reminds me of cupcakes.

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Face

Here is the liquid lip color layered over the lip liner which isn’t an exact match but works well with it. The formula is thin and the doe foot applicator is bigger than usual and made application a little less precise than I like. If I use this again, I’ll most likely use a lip brush to get cleaner lines.

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Foundation Open

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Foundation Sponge

Bodyography Professional Cosmetics Silk Cream Compact Foundation, Medium, .296 fl oz – Cost to keep: $13.47 (Retail Value $32)

I was surprised by the thinness of this foundation because I’m used to compact foundations having a thick, creamy consistency. This one feels like silk and is weightless. The compact comes with a mirror inside the lid and has a compartment for the sponge underneath the pan. The coverage is buildable and remains natural looking even after a couple of layers. I like to dampen the sponge to get BB cream-like coverage but applying with my fingertips works well too. This shade is great for my skin tone and is the second darkest out of their 8 shades.

Wantable Makeup November 2017 - Swatches

Swatches from top to bottom: foundation, lip liner, liquid lip color.

Verdict: November’s Wantable Makeup Collection includes a great selection of products. I like the inclusion of a skincare product which turned out to be my favorite of the box. I’ll get plenty of use out of the other products as well. The value of this collection is $85.50 with free shipping.

Tiffany found out about subscription boxes from a friend who followed MSA. The curiosity started with mystery beauty boxes and grew into an addiction from there. Beauty, clothes, home…she loves the sight of a subscription box in the mail.
