Now, on to the items!

My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask – Value $1.30

This mask is designed to help brighten and moisturize your skin. I like the light scent, and you can wear this for as little as 5 minutes or as long as 30 minutes. And my skin felt super hydrated after just 5 minutes!

Nexxus Comb Thru Finishing Mist – 1.5 oz Value $1.50

This is the perfect type of hairspray formula for me. The hold isn’t firm, so you can still run your fingers through your hair, and the scent is subtle.

Hask Coconut Oil Deep Conditioner– 1.75 oz. Retail Value $2

This hair mask is free of sulfates, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol, artificial colors. I’ve sampled HASK hair masks before and I’m a fan. They smell good and leave my hair feeling soft and moisturized. To use this mask, you apply it post-shampoo, and leave it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing out.

Chapstick Red Lip Tint– FULL SIZE! Retail Value $5

A target-red chapstick!

I already love the ChapStick Total Hydration line’s clear balms, and this version gives you the same amount of moisture with a tint of red. Here it is swatched:

Normally I don’t do bright reds, but this sheer wash of color works for me!

Rimmel London Shake It Fresh Mascara– FULL SIZE! Retail Value $6

This mascara is intriguing…

Introducing Rimmel’s New Shake It Fresh Mascara with exclusive patented packaging designed to refresh your mascara with every shake. With a simple shake, the mascara will be immediately refreshed to its original ideal smoothness, so volume always stays perfectly clump-free.

First impressions of the tube: it’s heavier than your typical mascara, and I was expecting a satisfying sound/feel when I shook it to know it was working (like a can of spray paint), but sadly it just seemed like I was shaking a slightly heavier normal mascara tube.

The formula allowed me to apply multiple layers without any clumping. The volume and length weren’t that impressive, though. (And to be honest, anytime I find a mascara formula not to be working as well as when I first opened it, I take that as a built-in signal that it’s time for me to replace it.)

Vera Wang Embrace Fragrance – 0.04 oz. Value $1.09

This is a sweet, floral fragrance, with notes of Marigold, Melon, Gardenia, and Soft Musks.

imPRESS Nails – FULL SIZE! Value $8

They were super easy to put on. Make sure you are working with clean nails (they include a prep pad). Then peel off the adhesive and press on to your nails:

This set included 30 regular nails + 6 accent nails. I liked how easy it was to do (and easy to take off), but the squoval shape wasn’t for me, and it still felt a little weird wearing nails on my nails!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $24.90. That’s great for a $7 Target beauty box. Plus 3 full-size items is also a win! Not everything was a good match for me this month, but I still got more than my money’s worth.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, this is sold out. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on the next Target Beauty Box, make sure to sign up for the My Subscription Addiction daily newsletter!

Value Breakdown: At $7 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Sheet Mask: $.36
  • Nexxus: $.42
  • Hask Conditioner: $.56
  • Chapstick: $1.41
  • Mascara: $1.69
  • Perfume: $.31
  • Press On Nails: $2.25

  1. How fast did this box sell out? I checked Target website every day Dec 1-7 and never saw it on there. I could see the men’s box though. If I clicked any links leading to the women’s beauty box it said:

    “product not available
we’re sorry! this page is currently unavailable. please try again later.”

So either it sold out the day it was offered or the website had errors? I did’t think it was a very good box, but I wanted the $3 coupon!

    • They always go on sale on Mondays, usually, but not always, the first Monday of the month. It was December 4th this month. I think they may have sold out that day, but not sure. I really liked mine.

  2. For the mascara – you aren’t supposed to shake it at first, only when it starts to get clumpy. Shaking it releases the thinning agent, so if you do it to the brand new tube it will be way too thin and will probably be hard to get any volume with it. I know the temptation is real, but I’d recommend not shaking it until you notice it start to clump!

  3. I loved this box I haven’t tried the nails but I have everything else. The mascara has aiming in the tube that shakes like in a spray can it’s a little strange to hear but as long as it works. The first couple times I shook it I didn’t hear it then I shook it harder and I could hear it in there.

  4. I have to say I ordered just one box and not a second for my granddaughter because it was like a so-so one for me. But when I got the box I was more impress than I thought I would be! The press on nails were the only items that she will pass on to friends The men’s box is always welcomed by my high school grandson as he is in sports at school and travel teams. Target fills a slot for that.

  5. Next year, I’m going to buy Target Beauty Box every month. I always regret it when I skip a box.

  6. A solid box! I am going to try press-on nails as the whole point of subbing for me is to discover new things (both in beauty and life). Any box with a sheet mask is a good one and the rest is gravy – it will all be used/useful somehow.

    • I totally agree! Not earthshaking, and I do miss seeing things like Acure in here, but still very solid.

  7. This box was great!! I share it with my 15 year old daughter. So much better than Walmart boxes.

  8. I liked this box this month. I’ve been getting them for about 3 months now and I normally share it with my mom cuz there’s usually stuff that I won’t use but she will. It works out well for both of us 😊

  9. I love that Chapstick product! I have a more neutral color (I think from a past Target box) that works great to refresh my more neutral-tone lipstick throughout the day while moisturizing my lips. Now I have one for when I wear redder tones! I also like them for “light makeup days”, eg, when I’m not going anywhere but maybe to the supermarket and don’t feel like doing up my whole face. It’s a great product, and that alone was enough to justify my buying the box, as everything else was gravy.

This past week I also used a different Hask hair mask (either from a Target or Wal-Mart box), and it was great! Looking forward to using this one. I just make a point to wash my hair first, then apply the hair mask, then do all my other shower stuff before rinsing to make sure it sits for at least ten minutes.

  10. The press on nails were an unexpected hit for me. I was surprised at how much I liked them. That is not a product I would ever buy and I didn’t expect I would like them. However I was in a crunch for time and since it was in the box I decided to try it. They were super quick and easy to apply. At first it felt strange to have them over my nails, but I got used to the feeling as the day went on. I had only planned to keep them on long enough to get through a holiday luncheon, but was actually able to wear them for a few days before deciding to take them off. I thought it was funny how many compliments I got on my “manicure”.

    • I was really surprised by how much I liked the nails. The accent ones are great, especially any with patterns. I use them on a couple nails, so much easier and quicker than trying to do freehand. They last a about a week for me. Lots of compliments on them, too.

  11. Squoval! lol
This box was ok for me, there have definitely been better ones. The nails and mascara immediately went into my going to the women’s shelter box. The conditioner and perfume went to my daughter, and I kept the rest. I still feel like I got my money’s worth.

  12. I loved the sheet mask, I haven’t used the hair mask yet tho. And I use the chapstick daily because it’s always super hydrating. I hated that mascara honestly because as soon as I put this on I had a huge clump! So I tried evenly putting it on and it wasn’t working nor could I do not even 2 layers without it making my eyes look like spider legs . Loved the Vera wang scent. And I tried the nails but they hurt me bc of the shape and were about to pop off so I just gave them to my 10year old bc I’m not a fan of those. I loved the Nexxus hairspray tho , that was amazing and clean and held great! Overall I loved most of the stuff in here

  13. I like how you post the division of the $7 value of the box. . . but maybe a good comment should also divide the value to YOU. (omitting the items you wouldn’t use, or don’t personal like. For example the value to me would be :

    Sheet Mask: 1
    Nexxus: 1
    Hask Conditioner:1
    Chapstick: 3.75
    Mascara: —
    Perfume: .25
    Press On Nails: —

Showing, in this case, that the box is a bargain for you even throwing out the items you didn’t like . . . I’ve received a hydration chapstick shade I loved and bought a second – almost the full value of the box by itself. So who cares if you’ll never wear press-on nails and the mascara was a dud. (Maybe those first three are worth their full price & the chapstick -because of the shade -less so.)
Maybe I’m just too mathy – I’d have 3 columns, listed RV, box value divided into %RV, personal value – what I’d be willing to pay for that item.) And each of us has a different personal value. . .

    • Are you a FFF member? I’ve posted my spreadsheets doing that exact thing with my box!

      • What’s FFF stand for?

        • Fab Fit Fun

        • FFF stands for FabFitFun 🙂

  14. I wasn’t impressed with this months or the men’s box. Some of these items I have recieved in other boxes. Been awhile since I purchased a target beauty box.
