Kiko & Sven Small Box Warmth & Giving December 2017 Review
The December theme is ‘Celebrate the season of warmth and giving’. I’m not sure warmth is the first think that comes to mind when I think of December, but it’s actually been unseasonably warm where I live, so it fits.
Happy ho ho HO to You Gift Tags – Estimated Value $5
These cute tags have strings to attach them to packages. I wasn’t able to find them on sites that had public pricing available, so the value is just a guess.
Peppermint Stir Stick – Buy a pack of 8 of a similar item for $17.73
I suppose you’re meant to use this to stir hot cocoa, but I confess to eating this within two minutes of opening the box. It is white chocolate dipped in crushed peppermint. Delicious!
Merry and Bright Matches – Retail Value $6
This box is cute and festive – and these matches are indeed bright! They are larger than the small matches I normally use, so I was surprised by the big flame. Light with care!
Creative Co-op 5″ Tree Dish – Retail Value $12
This little dish has a pine tree on it. It could be used to hold peppermints or perhaps little soaps.
Sadly, this little bunny didn’t make it to me intact, but I think it will just take a dab of glue to fix him up. He’s made of cast cement with a little wooden carrot. This feels a bit Eastery, but I like rabbits all year long, so I think this is perfect for winter too.
I’ve loved the scent of everything I’ve ever received from Capri Blue, and this candle is no exception. It smells like a Christmas tree with a whiff of sweet peppermint. The official description is ‘vanilla, peppermint and cashmere musk’, but I definitely smell some pine in there.
Verdict: The retail value is hard to estimate because some of the prices are a guess based off bulk prices, but this box has a retail value of at least $47, which is right around the cost of the box with shipping. I enjoyed the festive curation – Kiko & Sven color coordinates the items in their boxes, and this one had a mostly red & white theme. My favorite item was the candle.
