kidpik Girly Two Holiday Gift Box Review #2 – November 2017
kidpik is a clothing subscription box for girls. You can either choose to receive 1 box per season (4 per year), 2 boxes per season (8 per year), or a box every month. All the pieces are really well-made and the designs are unique to kidpik. I think the easiest way to think of kidpik is that it is essentially Stitch Fix for girls, but with no styling fee. kidpik designs and produces all of its own apparel and accessories.
My daughters are always super excited to see what is in their kidpik boxes and this holiday is no different.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
This review is of the Gift Box option which starts at $68 without shoes, $88 with shoes. I was sent two “Girly Two” boxes with shoes for $98.

Let’s take a look at M’s box first.
When you sign up, they ask for your girl’s name and use it to personalize the box for her. This box was styled for my 9 year old daughter and I just used her initial. Usually the girl’s first name will be included here. My daughter is especially excited this whole box is just for her!
When you first sign up for the monthly subscription, you fill out a style profile for your girl. It is fun and easy to complete. And accurate. If you want to see details about this, you can see more here. Both of my daughters are very girly, love dresses and most colors, and I rated each of them a 10 out of 10 on the question about how much your girl loves sparkles.
Ok, let’s see what we’ve got! (This box was styled based on our preferences so what you receive could be totally different.) Looks interesting!
There are a couple of different bags.
kidpik always sends a free gift for your girl, but you never know what they will include. So cute!
Star Metallic Bag
M is very excited about this bag! This is a fun, silver cross body bag with a sparkly star detail. She wanted to show you the inside as well.
Wild Heart Haachi Top
This is very cozy shirt featuring a silver foil heart design. Perfect for layering or on its own.
The next bag is reusable as a drawstring backpack. We like to use these when traveling.
Velvet Rhinestone Bootie
M absolutely loves anything sparkly. Add some black velvet and she will be in heaven. kidpik can do no wrong when it comes to girl’s shoes. Awesome!
Here is the information card that comes with the subscription box. The front is personalized with my daughter’s name again. Kids love to see their names on things.
The inside gives information on how kidpik works and a breakdown of all the items in the subscription box.
I noticed that there was also sales tax charged on these boxes which I think is likely because they shipped from CA and we are in CA. We are normally charged taxes on clothing here. Considering the quality of the items, the fact that the styling service, shipping to us and any return shipping is thrown in, the time I saved not having to go out looking for these items, and the free gift, I think that is a more than fair price.
This is a lightweight long sleeve layering tee in cream which works well with the next item…
Raspberry Fur Jacket
This super soft fur jacket has black contrast sleeves. The bright pink is very girly, but the sleeves and zipper toughen it up just a little. The back of the jacket is all black.
This is the first time we have received a boyfriend jean from kidpik. I like it! You can indicate whether or not your girl is interested in receiving jeans and how she likes them (skinny, straight, relaxed, and/or distressed) in her profile.
Metallic Floral Mesh Scuba Skirt
M adores this skirt! It is very cool-looking in real life. This is a substantially weighted fabric. The waistband is stretchy. All clothing I have seen in kidpik boxes is machine washable and holds up well over time.
kidpik also has a program working with the GOOD+ Foundation that allows girls the option to give back by sharing an item or two with another girl when they keep the whole box. kidpik makes this very easy to do. The foundation has a 4-star rating on Charity Navigator. We love this!
Let’s see these clothes in action, and then take a look at the box for my younger daughter! There are also photos of the girls together later in the review.
Let’s take a look at F’s box now!
F also has a couple of bags near the top of her box.
Pom Pom Bag
Yay for F getting her own bag! The girls were also excited they each received a purse. F is a big fan of this item.
Let’s see what is inside her drawstring backpack!
Fur Trim High Top
Yay! Another pair of awesome shoes for my younger daughter!
These have zipper closures and non-slip bottoms. She can easily put them on herself.
How cute will these look with the purse?!
Here is the information card that came with this second box. The front is personalized with my daughter’s name.
Now let’s look at what was underneath those bags.
Love You Heart Tee
This is a soft, long sleeve shirt with a heart sequin design. It is lightweight and perfect for holidays. The back is slightly longer than the front. All kidpik items we have ever tried fit true to size.
Celestial Pleated Skirt
F received this beautiful skirt. She loves it and so do I. Celestial is a fitting name.
Super Soft Cord Skinny
Here is what kidpik’s skinny cut looks like. These are very soft and comfortable for F to wear.
These are easy for her to fasten herself since they come with a snap closure. They also have a hidden, adjustable waistband. (M’s jeans had the same in her box.)
This is a quilted, navy dress with short sleeves and box pleats. It is fancy enough to wear to formal parties, etc. which is perfect for holiday time. At the same time, it is really comfortable for her and she could also easily dress it down. There is an exposed zipper in the back.
Love the sparkle detail.
Chevron Fur Jacket
Wait… what?! We have been reviewing kidpik for quite a while now and my daughters always love their boxes. I mean, LOVE, as in asking me each season when their next kidpik is coming. This may be our favorite piece ever.
My 6-year-old daughter could not put this multi-colored, faux fur jacket on fast enough and would like to wear it everywhere she goes.
It has a smooth satin lining and hook and eye closures.
This jacket is amazing. That is all.
Let’s see these clothes in action and then both of the girls together!
kidpik always does a great job with sending pieces that mix and match perfectly. Each of these boxes is essentially its own capsule wardrobe.
Some final photos of the girls together!
Verdict: We love kidpik and are very excited to see what they send next! The quality is great and my daughters love wearing their new clothes! If you are on the fence about trying this one, give it shot. What do you think of kidpik?
