We have the third spoiler for the POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall 2017 box! (POPSUGAR sent us this item early so we can answer any questions you might have about it.)

The POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall 2017 box will include:

DANNIJO Dagny Necklace - Retail Value $195

This POPSUGAR-exclusive statement necklace makes any outfit more sophisticated. Pair it with your favorite little black dress for a date or with distressed jeans and your poncho for brunch with the girls.

The necklace is made of steel plated oxidized silver and the gems are made of glass. All DANNIJO Jewelry, including this glam necklace, is produced by responsible manufacturing facilities.
Here it is on:

I decided to lean into the edgy vibe of this necklace and pair it with a moto hoodie jacket and a casual t-shirt dress.

What do you think of the latest spoiler? How are you planning on styling the necklace?

And in case you missed the previous spoilers:

(Malin + Goetz) Recovery Treatment Oil – Value $82

This luxurious oil will ensure you don’t lose your dewy glow during the cooler months. Apply five to seven drops of the treatment after washing your face to restore moisture. The blend of nine skin-loving oils will keep your skin hydrated and balanced while reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Yes to full-size pricey skin care items!

This oil is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and has a faint, natural scent. It’s pretty much exactly what I look for in a serum/facial oil, so I am very pleased with this spoiler!

The box will also include:

Hat Attack Lightweight Layer Black Poncho - Retail Value $88

When the weather gets a little chilly, this stylish poncho will keep you cozy atop a dress or pair of jeans. The on-trend cover-up can be work off the shoulder or as a boatneck, depending on how you adjust the incredibly soft material.

This is a soft, 100% acrylic knit, that you can wear as a boatneck style, or diagonal.

Here's how I'm wearing it:

My fall/winter go-to look is: leggings, boots, long-sleeve mini dress, and a vest. I've been thinking about getting a poncho and/or a moto jacket for alternative vest options, and I'm digging the poncho look!

And we're doing something a little different for this spoiler! Several MSA reviewers are modeling it so you can see how it looks with different styles and body types!

From Jess:

I love the lightweight, open knit of this poncho! It makes for a versatile transition piece leading into chillier months (seriously though -- is it fall yet?). It's also awesome that you can throw it on over a tee shirt and jeans for an instantly polished look, and that's exactly what I did here. Being that I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant, loose and comfy is the name of my game. I finished the look with my favorite suede mules, some bold earrings, and a unique bamboo clutch to make a bit of a statement.

From Anna:

I'm not super into the boho/festival trend. I wanted to create a look that felt more like the countryside of Sweden than the mainstage at Coachella. To do that, I knew I had to match the breeziness of the poncho with something structured, like this striped, collared shirt. The wood-soled platform shoes have a 70s vibe that complements the retro feeling of the poncho, but again, their simplicity and structure saves the look from seeming too hippie for my tastes.

From Nicole:

Ponchos pair incredibly well with jeans and boots for the fall, but I wanted to try to go in a different direction. I paired the poncho for both looks with an effortlessly cool and classic long sleeved striped top. I couldn’t decide what look was my favorite, so I decided to showcase the poncho and my striped top in two different looks. I wanted to bring a pop of color, so I threw in the whole paint can with my golden Eloquii neoprene pencil skirt. I topped off this bold look with knee high black socks and my T.U.K leopard buckled creeper oxfords. You can’t go wrong with leopard print, am I right?

For my second look, I wanted to feel like Iggy Pop if he wanted to go “Search and Destroy” for a haunted hay ride in a cozy poncho. I put on my favorite ASOS Curve spandex black disco pants and my new Torrid boots that have this fantastic stud and chain detail. You won’t be a forgotten boy or girl in that look!

From Sara:

Wow, the open crochet is lightweight, but also surprisingly warm! I love to pair oversized tops with skinny denim or leggings, so this poncho is a match made in heaven with my beloved faux leather leggings from Trunk Club. Since there are no sleeve holes, I decided to shift the poncho a bit to create a boat neckline, rather than a v-neck in the front and back. Combined with a couple neutral textile accessories in my wardrobe, this outfit is full of texture and getting me excited for the cooler weather heading my way!

What do you think of the first spoiler? Is it helpful to see the spoiler modeled this way?

I like the necklace, but can’t justify paying $100 – if there is a sale or a really great spoiler after this- perhaps, but come on that necklace isn’t worth $195! I can buy a beautiful .925 necklace for less than that. sigh-

Argh. Already ordered. Not feeling the necklace. Wasn’t crazy about the oil but I could see myself actually using it / experimenting with it. Loved the poncho. Definitely feeling some buyer’s remorse due to the insanely inflated price of the lackluster necklace.

Go figure. When I don’t buy these LE boxes, I love everything in them and they sell out fast. When I do, I’m super underwhelmed. I think all 3 will be up for swap, sadly. I hope the rest of the box will work for me.

Lilja

So so so happy to pass on this 🙂

This box looks great! They are not items I would purchase for myself but I will have fun with them. To me, these boxes are all about discovering new things. I know not everything will appeal to me but I can gift or donate those items.

Jenn

Aaahh I cancelled my FFF fall box and Popsugar sub but continue to stalk this box and jumped on the 40% PS Aug box, Gilt City PS box sale….😂🤣😃😄😅 2 of the 3 items look really good….ugh….I may cave….help! 😍😀😉😊

Michelle

Are those the robb vices sunnies in liz’s poncho pic?! They look phenomenal on her!

Reply ButtonReply

KW

The combined listed RV of these three items is $365.

The past few Limited Edition Fall boxes have each included six items.

The overall RV of this box has been noted as being “over $450.”

I’m not sure what to think re: the possibly three remaining items having a combined RV of ~$85-90…

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

It’s not uncommon for one thing to be a food item, so if you have a $10 chocolatey something and then two smaller items in the $40 range, that might be fine.

Reply ButtonReply

KW

That’s definitely possible.

I suspect that the necklace has a 50/50 chance of working with/for me and its RV feels a little intimidating/more risky (it’s harder to order a box when the highest-value item might be a fail for me).

Judy

This is a nice includes a little of everything box! Does anyone know when it ships? Today is an awesome spoiled filled day in MSA! Love it!

Reply ButtonReply

KW

“…will be shipped by Sept. 21.” according to the ordering link description.

I really want this box! But I have to wait and hope that it goes on sale and is not sold out. My husband would kill me if I bought it at full price. Sigh. Being responsible sucks. I love the necklace and poncho. I’m not big on oils since my skin is already so oily, and yes, I know they are supposed to help with that, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. I hope we get more spoilers, I would love to see what else is in this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Judy

Liz! I love your outfit! Where did you get the jacket and dress?

If I can get that outfit I want this box for the necklace too. Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Oh, thanks!! 🙂 The striped shift t-shirt dress is $15.90 from Forever 21. (Direct link here) And the jacket is $32.90, also from Forever 21. (Direct link here)

Thanks!

If I get a windfall of money I will totally get this box, or if it somehow goes on sale. I love the poncho and the necklace – I didn’t get the Dylanex necklace unfortunately and suffered major FOMO. I couldn’t swap out either because of the high RV which is hard to match. So windfall or discount please come my way before this is sold out. Thank you!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Mikayla

I love this necklace so much!! If I could afford this box I would probably get it. The poncho isn’t totally my style, but I think I might be able to pull it off idk. Looks comfy at least. and that looks like it would be a nice oil, I love some good skincare.

If this box happens to go on sale after I get a couple paychecks, I might just have to buy it 😅

“POPSUGAR sent us this item early so we can answer any questions you might have about it”

Why don’t the sites just show it on their sites and answer questions instead bloggers getting it for free? Because they enjoy the free promo:)

I do like coming to this site though to read the reviews when reviewers has put out their hard earned money.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy B

I scoured this site before I ordered any boxes. These are the most impartial reviews I’ve seen so it didn’t take long before I wouldn’t order anything without reading all the past box reviews. So now I’m a full fledged addict. I’m thinking of starting a program but it would probably just turn into swap meet and I’d end up with more subs.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I never ordered a box until I saw an ad for Birchbox on Facebook, saw people arguing in the comments about which was better, Birchbox or Ipsy, googled to find out what those things were, landed here and fell down rabbit hole. Box companies know what they’re doing when they send review samples here–I am living proof that it is effective marketing.

Janet

I imagine that there are lots of people reading MSA who are not current PopSugar subscribers who they are hoping to reach via MSA reviews. This way PopSugar gets advertisement on MSA and they don’t have their customer support clogged with questions.

Reply ButtonReply

Caitlyn

Plus I trust Liz more than the website of the actual seller, and she seems to be pretty responsive to questions.

Jen

A good box for me, and it’s now reached the tipping point of “worth it, even if I hate every single other thing.”

Reply ButtonReply

vanessa

Would have considered until this spoiler. So.Not.Me.

If the rest of the box is kickass & on clearance – maybe.

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

I’m gonna do it – I’m gonna complain about the people who complain about the complaints. These reviews/spoilers always ask us what we think. It’s unreasonable to expect everyone to always be positive or upbeat. It is even MORE unreasonable to be personally offended or insulted by what some stranger on the internet thinks of the contents of some box.

Reply ButtonReply

Amyr

I find comment like yours tacky and despicable. But that it just the way I feel. If you feel like your comments a valid, that is great for you! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

Hi Amy. I find your comment to be hypocritical. How can you complain about people critiquing a piece of jewelry and then turn around and tell someone their VERY OWN WORDS AND THOUGHTS are tacky and despicable? I won’t take it personally. I don’t know you and I don’t care what you think of me. I just hope you take a moment to reflect on how self-centered your attitude is.

Lizzie

Are you using a completely off-kilter version of sarcasm or did you completely miss the point of the post?????

Amyr

Sorry about the typos. I was in the moment! 🙂

Nikki

Thank you for this!! It’s discouraging to voice your true opinion when others shame you for not liking something that you have already forked out money for. We’re allowed to like some things and dislike others. As for the argument that it’s like going up to someone in public and telling them you don’t like what they are wearing, this IS NOT like that in any way. By commenting that I don’t like a specific item, I’m not going up to someone’s face and telling them anything. Those are two completely different environments/situations. Why can’t we just all be entitled to our own opinion without others bringing us down for it? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

Nikki, you do you! I think it’s a lot more like Amazon or any other online retailer. Except in the case of spoilers, we are generally offering feedback before receiving the item. But I have to wonder, the people who shame the complainers, do they get upset and insulted when they see one-star reviews or negative comments on an item they’re thinking about purchasing from Amazon? I feel like this is essentially the same and I find almost all feedback, positive and negative, helpful, especially when considering a new sub.

Jay

::applause::

Complaint-shaming drives me nuts. Some people like somethings, other people like other things. The world continues to turn. The expectation that every comment be “positive” is indeed unreasonable. It’s also unreasonable to categorize every human reaction/feeling/opinion as either positive or negative – that’s for electrical charges. Humans are more complex.

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

“that’s for electrical charges” <—hahahaha love it, so true!

vanessa

Amen, stfne! It IS unreasonable to expect everyone to be jolly good time everyday.

And given this is a public forum, we all get to express our opinions. That being said, as long as someone isn’t being deliberately or personally rude, ie; “vanessa, YOUR choice is hideous,” or “only an idiot would like that hideous whatever,” – who cares what those people think? If you like it, so what? You do you, & I’ll do me. Thank you very much.

Reply ButtonReply

LB

LOL…it’s like going down the rabbit hole of insults and complaints! I agree, in general, that people should not be offended by what a stranger on a website thinks about something they are buying. And yes, everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion and has the right to share their opinion. After seeing this same discussion/argument many, many, many, many times on different posts I’m going to venture a guess at what the “trigger point” is….that sometimes some of the comments just seem a bit harsh. It’s one thing to say you dislike an item or it’s not your style. It’s another thing to call an item that someone else truly likes “hideous” or making vague comments about how they don’t know how anyone would like such a thing. I honestly have no idea if any of these examples apply to this thread….just things I’ve seen before. I think people who may be excited about contents kind of feel like they’ve been gut punched when someone chimes in and tells them that something they are looking forward to wearing is “hideous.” Would you say that to someone on the street that you saw wearing something? They obviously like it if they chose to wear it….and chances are even if they asked you what you thought, you would not say it was hideous out of courtesy. You politely tell a white lie and move on. That’s what the internet seems to be lacking in general….courtesy since people say things as strangers online that they would never say to someone’s face in real life. I totally get it. It is what it is. But that’s where the hurt and anger comes from….it just seems like alot of “negativity” that most humans just aren’t built for. LOL. Ok…enough of my psychological hypotheses and ramblings….carry on down the rabbit hole!

Reply ButtonReply

AmyM

This is really well said, LB. Thank you. I am by no means a Pollyanna, and have expressed my disappointment with an item or a box on more than occasion. But I do notice an increase in the comments that have a formula that roughly equals = “OMG this is so ugly/cheap/stupid etc,” followed by, “but hey if you enjoy it, that’s great.” Those are the comments that come off as very Regina George and make me think I wouldn’t enjoy that person’s company in real life.

Joanna

Well the ‘reply’ didn’t work as expected…LOL! But I agree with everything LB said.

Joanna

All of this ^

stfne

LB, I agree, I’ve seen some comments that are in poor taste *in my opinion* which means I personally wouldn’t make that comment, but I’m certainly not going to take personal offense to the fact someone else said it! And I agree even further, all the comments on this post seem super benign to me. We ALL know (at least SHOULD know) that taste is subjective. If I were to say I think something is “hideous,” there’s a 99% chance what I really mean is that it would look hideous on ME. Though I am quite blunt and I would definitely tell a friend if something didn’t suit her well, and I expect my friends to do the same for me. A stranger though? Who cares? There are tons of fashion “experts” who have different tastes. I doubt any Kardashian would be caught dead in anything I wear and I’m okay with that haha

Melody

If I didn’t already have the necklace from BOS winter 2016, which has a similar feel, I would be so tempted to get this box! Cute poncho, fun necklace! More of a “style kit”than last fall’s box.

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

First of all I love all the spoilers.

Second, I won’t totally judge the box until I receive it.

Third: Some of these negative comments are pedestrian and are insulting to those of us who want to enjoy these boxes. Please stop ridiculing what others might enjoy!

OK End of Rant

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

Agreed! Some of the comments are like a pre-insults to what many of the people getting the box are going to wear!

Reply ButtonReply

Dayan

Oh man… So far all the spoilers are tots bust for me…
Why did I pay full price for this box??
To me, it seems like it’ll end up having a 50% off sale later just like the summer box…

Reply ButtonReply

h

So excited! My aesthetic twinsie posed, and I’m ecstatic because you’re rocking it.

Reply ButtonReply

Nobody is bringing me down with any complaints. I am so comfortable in my skin, I’m going to outshine this necklace. 😀 I wish the same for every fellow woman.

Susan

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Anna

This box seems to have a great mix of items but the style just isn’t for me. Can see how it’ll be great for other ladies 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

Now this is a way a comment about why you do not the contents should be worded. This is a classy comment!

Reply ButtonReply

h

hahaha!

Ingrid

No complains so far! I am liking the selections – specially the face oil – more than the RZ BoS that I also ordered.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Do these boxes ever go on sale?

Reply ButtonReply

Renee

sometimes. I am going to wait it out 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

ThaRandl

Same! I am a little worried about the necklace. I usually have terrible allergic reactions to plated jewelry. What is oxidized silver?!? I do think the box looks great though. If it goes on sale, and I get it, I hope I can wear the necklace!

LB

Can I just say that I’m sooooo happy for another silver jewelry wearer win!!! LOL. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m in the minority, but I don’t like gold or gold-tinted jewelry at all and it seems like if a non-choice jewelry item is included in a box, it’s defaulted to gold. I think the Rachel Zoe BOS Fall box is curated amazingly and is an elegant box but I don’t even like looking at that gold tray! And it sounds like the only ring option left is gold. So I passed. I actually prefer the white tray I got from some Popsugar mystery box along the way. Yes, as I said, I know I’m odd and in the minority but just let me celebrate and wallow in my relief that this is not gold toned…I had a brief moment of panic when I saw the jewelry pouch as I was scrolling….

Reply ButtonReply

Emily

I also very much dislike gold tones and prefer silver. I kind of like the look of rose gold but would not wear it. I chose white gold over regular gold way back in high school with my class ring. I dunno I just feel like it draws too much attention and I do not like to draw a lot of attention to myself and more like to blend in. I feel like white gold or silver is a bit more toned down and I can wear it without it clashing with everything or with my style.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

I’m with you completely. I was beginning to wonder if I wad the only one since everything in these boxes seems to be some form of gold tone 90% of the time.

Reply ButtonReply

Marina

Hey, you know your tastes, so celebrate away 😉
I have very…specific tastes on some things too so I know what you mean, some just want you to like what they like or what “everyone” likes.
Luckily my specific or “picky” tastes don’t extend to jewelry color(just the style/size of it lol…not too flashy but not too dainty).
I like when boxes (when they can’t let you select it), cycle through the finishes so that each color preference can have a chance!
