And here are a few more hints on the rest of the box:
This month we take the fashion show from the runways to our real lives. We filled our September box with drop-dead-gorgeous beauty musts to keep you in style now and forever. From a designer-approved nail polish to a highlighter perfected to leave all skin tones glowing, we can't wait to see how you make our faves your own.
GlossyBox is a beauty subscription service box that allows customers to sample products monthly. Sampling lets the subscriber fall in love with new products and become life-long brand advocates. Each box is filled with five makeup, hair and skin care products from top brands.

I really am not that difficult to please when it comes to boxes, but when they outright lie to you, enough is enough! The Glossybox site said 5 full-size items in the September box and then they changed it to 3. Come on , an eyeshadow that isn’t in a container is considered full-size? Samples from Lancome, sample bottles of shampoo and conditioner,a nail polish and a 0.7 fl. Oz. Of Glo Illuminator!!! That’s it, for a $21.00 box. Ridiculous. Forget Glossbox, head straight to Boxycharm for highend generous products or Target for low cost very usable basic products. I am beyond disgusted with what Glossybox has become.

Ok, so I’m pretty sure I’m getting another August box instead of September although I reactivited my membership on September 1st. I checked my surveys and surveys for the August box have been loaded. What the hell?

I subscribed for a month. tried canceling and they said I couldn’t. Now trying to fight for money back because I bought august 19th and they won’t refund my money! DON’T GET THIS BOX! I thought they were a good company, no they take your money and send you crappy boxes afterwards. I just want my money back.. not another box!

Please listen to the MANY MANY reviews out there – just look at GB Facebook or insta and you can see the insanely bad experiences people have had. It’s pretty badly curated, twice as much as other boxes with similar items, and I can guarantee that you will end up with something damaged, broken or missing. Their customer service is so bad that its almost funny. They never take care of anything. There are so many nicer options out there, for cheap, crappy makeup and *shocker* tiny tubes of moisturizer and black mascara I will stay at $10-12 a month. Don’t waste your time with this garbage.

I regret getting the one year deal from Black Friday. This box has definitely gone downhill. I was debating trying to cancel early but doubt that I could get a refund for the remaining months. So sad. Has anyone had any luck with canceling before a one year deal was up? Should I even try at this point ?

i have liked all the GBs. Never had any negative experience. I enjoy trying all the products. Some of the products I like, some are not for me. I don’t let a sub box make me miserable. I take things as they come. It’s makeup in a box. Geez.

Love your attitude, tho I didn’t like the august box, I share your opinion, I think is funny to discover new makeup and beauty products.

Based on their most recent advertisement, the nail lacquer is from Morgan Taylor or Butter London. For sure they will count this as a full size item :/

CORRECTION: From Butter London it looks like they will include Sheer Wisdom Lush Lip Oil and/or Sheer Wisdom Serum Shadow

Given the direction this company is going – DOWN – unless new management does something drastic, the rep of GB is ruined for future offerings.
And unless GB promos something so mind-blowing that I will absolutely HAVE TO HAVE, I’m canceling after this month (& using my GB dots. Which because of the way this system is set up, means I’ll most likely wind up paying for at least 1 additional box. sigh.)

That’s EXACTLY what I said earlier! They make it so you can’t redeem GDots unless you pay for another box.

Their site says for September that the 5 full size items are worth over $73. I will believe it when I see it!!

FINE PRINT: only a very select few will receive the box containing 5 full size items worth over $73.

It figures, as soon as I signed up, Glossybox went downhill. Nothing was as sad as the May box. I’m done. 🙁

Like many others, I’m over Glossybox. There are so many other subs out there with great customer service and products. This box is the most repetitive and boring and low quality that I receive. I cancelled before, then re-subbed for their 3 month sale for $10/mo in June. Tried canceling a week before the month is over, but conveniently their rules changed yet again w/o notice…now you supposedly have to cancel before the 15th. Needless to say I’m now paying full price for yet another shampoo, nail polish, and foil packet. I don’t understand how they can do this, I’ve requested to cancel before my box was fulfilled, paid for, or shipped. Think I will dispute the charge w/my bank. I will change my credit card number if I have too…very inconvenient when I have 10 other subs. I will never recommend glossybox. You pay $22/mo for just a pink box basically.

I guess I am another victim of Glossybox’s cancellation policy. I thought I was fine by canceling by the end of the month. I have no idea why you would need to cancel by the 15th. I liked the box at $10 a month but no way at $21. I have more than enough makeup and their box value is very low for things you really don’t want or need. Not a happy camper!

Glossybox’s cancellation policy has always been that you have to cancel before the 15th of the current month to ensure you don’t receive the following month’s box (i.e. cancel by August 15th to ensure you aren’t charged for September’s box).

Marie
Looks like a sample size shampoo and conditioner. I used my glossydots for this box. I’m canceling after that.
Reply
Taren
99% sure they won’t send your box out until way after the 15th, ensuring that you’ll be charged for the next months’ box at full price. If you cancel before then, they will say you don’t have an “active subscription” and will withhold your Glossydots box. They’ve done it to me before and it seems to be their modus operandi.

yep looks like a shampoo, conditioner, highlight and a nail polish. 🙁 and one random other item.

I used my Glossydots for this box and am cancelling after this too.. Glossybox is starting to look like a $10 sub.

Tracey
I’m doing the same using the glossy dots for this and then I’m gone.
Marie
Exactly. If they want to give out cheap products and samples why don’t they just permanently lower the price to $10.

Both codes are expired as of today.

I’ve had the same problem multiple times with the customer service for Glossybox. FINALLY i got a hold of a rep that would actually help me and added two boxes at the end of my subscription. She made it sound like she was doing me a favor in doing it though.

Warning & apologies, long post, but I really feel I need to let others know how awful this company is about customer service!
After 2 1/2 months of emails asking why I’ve been unable to redeem over 1300 Glossydots even though I have an ACTIVE subscription (the sticking point with this company- even though in order to collect that many Glossydots in the first place you have to have spent a ton of money with them!).
I finally get this reply:
“We’re sorry if you are having difficulty redeeming your GLOSSYDots. Currently, subscribers with 3, 6 or 12-month plans must redeem their GLOSSYDots for future monthly boxes by contacting the Customer Care team before the 1st of the month.”
Keep in mind I’ve been trying to get ahold of anyone in customer service for months!
Thinking I’ve waited sooooo long I just wanted them redeeemed, I said to send me an extra September box, I thought it would be a nice treat since it’s my birth month also. Anyway, joke’s on me if I get 2 lousy sample boxes, one of which will be paid for at full price since they DELIBERATELY did not reply until it was time to re-up my subscription, knowing full well that you must have an Active subscription to redeem Glossydots.
To rub salt in the wound: I had the cost of the limited edition box (which are usually great boxes, btw) taken from my account on August 22, and I’m still waiting on it 15 days later. Frustrated and hoping this new buyout will improve customer care in the future.

Glossybox is truly becoming a 10$ box, I’m about to stay wow with boxycharm and just leave it at that, from what I see for this month were getting a night creme and a day day cream, both small and a few other things shaded out, this if getting ridiculous!!

Lol, they told me I had to cancel to use my Glossydots but I didn’t want 2 boxes and my 6 month was up.
These “spoilers” are annoying because they always send me something else.

I just cut and pasted that ver batem from the email reply. They were very specific about keeping that sub paid up to redeem. They waited until the last month of my sub to make darn sure I still had to pay for another box! Sneaky.

I’m so so so sorry !I have been there! I hate hate hate hate Glossybox for their awful costumer service, keep in mind that we are real costumers that are not getting any commission or free box to talk about them,or are VIP and be sure to not have any problems.
If you enter in this relationship client/company sooner or later when you have to deal with them you will remember all the warnings you saw and bad reviews and think,I should have go with my gut feeling.
In doubt don’t do it!!!

The fact that the full size items aren’t in the spoiler (yet a packet is?!) indicates to me that the full size items will be pretty unimpressive.

A mini sample size sunscreen and a foil packet in a Glossybox?

Lancôme too….. those come free with any purchase in every Dept store. Hopefully the rest is better, but the shapes look like a nail polish and mini shampoo conditioner.

And they’ll probably say it counts as a full size!

I’m very disappointed with Glossybox. I’m more excited about receiving their pink box for decorating purposes than receiving the items in the september box. I already cancelled.

I’m SOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed with the decline in Glossybox. They have been so misleading with their full-sized items and sending disappointing items as well. I don’t think anyone wants or needs another nail polish, but we will probably all get it so they can say we got a full-sized item and it’s cheap for them to include. I’m done with them until I see the boxes getting bettter. Also I did 2 of the summer sets for $30 and I have entirely different profiles yet get the exact same boxes.

Wendy
lol I signed up for two of the promos too, but I have two identical profiles and end up with different boxes. I don’t think they even use them. Right now I’m on the fence about cancelling. I have 900 glossy dots so I’d have enough for a free box after this month but from all the horror stories I keep reading I’m worried I’ll have to pay for several more boxes before I can use them.

Well they did hype Lancome a few months back… 😐
Dear Beauty Gods,
Please let the nail polish be a variant. And please send to it to everyone who actually wants it.

Have you tried Instagram or FB I put up a semi-nasty Instagram post tagged them also mssged them on both Social media sites and got a response with in 3 days then a phone call. BUTTT when they sent me my replacement products (some of mine were broken) They sent me the wrong stuff.

I also had a problem in July. I got a 3 month supscription, and they sent me 3 July boxes with in 2 weeks. I emailed them july 25th and received a reply August 12!!! And it was responding to something completely different from the problem I emailed them about. Their customer service is terrible sometimes.
I have subscribed for a few years and have always enjoyed them but had to finally walk away. I dont miss them
