I received my box yesterday and the only thing I like is the foundation brush. I received the colourpop lippie in a very light nude color and I look DEAD wearing it. My bf laughed so hard when he saw me swatching. The MAC brow pencil I received is in color Spiked, which is too dark for me. So if anyone happens to like it (new, unswatched), or the eyeshadow palette, loose blush (I’m overloaded with shadow and blush)or the hair mask (already found my favorite), plz find me on swap.

I LOOOOVE the foundation brush!! I always use beauty blender and never try a foundation brush. I have a Makeup Forever water based foundation and the brush works better with it than my bb! Love it!

If anyone got the Mac pencil in Lingering and would like to swap for my Spiked one, let me know. Spiked is going to be too dark for me.

I was excited to try the Colourpop Ultra Satin lip, but the color I received is heinous. I got it in Mess Around, which is described as a “mid-tone greige”. I think it’s the most corpse-like lip color I’ve ever seen. Never going to work with my skintone. I’ve gotten at least 8 Colourpop lippies in sub boxes and none of them have been wearable colors. 😭 Thankfully the rest of the box I got is fantastic, so I’m still super happy with it!! 😍

I don’t remember the name of the color I got, but it’s orange, and it’s just awful! I can’t think of anyone that could pull it off (or want to wear it). Just awful!

I received the same color..it’s not an ugly color, its just not a good color for light/fair tones. I think it would look great on ppl with some color to them..I’m very light and I won’t be using this. Thank God the rest of the box was amazing though 😉

I signed up in August and was placed on the waitlist. In September when they waived the waitlist I signed up again. I emailed Boxycharm support and asked them to make sure I didn’t receive two boxes but never heard back from them. I received a box in the mail yesterday (and I’m thrilled with it). This morning I received a tracking number from Boxy. I looked and the tracking number doesn’t match the one on the box I received. So far I have only been charged for one box but I have no idea what is going on with my account and I’m not very impressed with their customer service.

Hit my tracking number. So hopeful theat it will be here noblater than Saturday!!!

Tanya

Got my tracking … and no later

Lucky, I haven’t gotten mine 😭

I just received the box and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

I got face brush, and would like to swap for other two, if anyone interested.

The pallet is gorgeous. The colors are vibrant, not just dull pastel. The loose blush is so natural, like it barely there, but still gives you color to your face. The brow pencil is nice too, really like that it is not dark and perfect for my albino brows.

Svetlana7e

my e-mail svetlana7e at msn dot com if anyone wants to swap the brushes.

I’m new to this box, how many variations do they send out? so far I’ve seen two

Just got my box today and I never got a shipment notification so if you’re waiting for that you may get the box first too. I know they are based out of miami but the box came from somewhere in Georgia. So maybe the boxes are shipped but the notifications aren’t going out…? Anyway, pretty great box. I got the bareminerals brush which I had considered buying a few times so IMO that alone makes it worth the $21. I will definitely use up the deep conditioner I love briogeo and purchased the leave in conditioner after trying the deep one in something else it smells great too! I got the lingering eye pencil which is perfect for me and another item I will for sure use up. The blush is a really pretty color and I actually love loose blush and am not sad to get another blush (got the cream one last month) when I first subbed I got a ton of blush and thought it was kind of silly and a waste but now I have grown to appreciate the different colors and how they can change your overall look. Not a fan of the colourpop color I got (mess around) but oh well the rest was worth it. The palette is gorgeous and has a fantastic mirror as well as great everyday colors. That being said I have every one of those colors at least once so I may trade it or gift it but I want to keep it cause its just such a pretty palette. I also feel I have other palettes that have those same colors plus a few more fun colors so you could achieve more looks. EIther way an amazing value!

Does anyone know if I’ll receive the Sept box if I just signed up on Seot 3rd? I received a confirmation email, so I don’t think I’m on a waitlist. Also they did charge my credit card already also, I’m sooooo hoping I get this Sept box 🙏🏻😊

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

If they charged your card you will get the September box.

I hope I get the setting powder, hair mask, and I hope I do not get a brown lip! Brown lippies wash the color right off my face, instant corpse ☠️

Candice

I’m sorry the last part made me giggle a little

Daisydoodle

Me too!

Nicola

I’m so glad I cancelled this sub. Pink & brown eyeshadow every month! Ugh!

Reply ButtonReply

Cheryl

This is my first month, and I am thinking of cancelling after this spoiler. I also get GlossyBox and I love it every month. Everyone kept saying that Boxy is better, but I’m not convinced.

Reply ButtonReply

Krys

Aw I already have the bare minerals setting powder from the July box so I really hope I get the blush!! I love studiomakeup and I need a new blush since right now I just use eyeshadow lol. How does swapping work ?

Reply ButtonReply

Amy b

If I get blush and you get setting powder I’ll for sure swap!

Reply ButtonReply

Tif

So I clicked on the colourpop link to check which shade Strut is…. then ended up buying two of their palettes (the new one and “she”)… then I realized I’m also getting neutrals palette from BC….. lol

Reply ButtonReply

amy

i want that setting powder so bad

Jess

Melissa Rodriguez posted her unboxing, she got a Colourpop lippie in Mess Around. Just wanted to share since people want to know what colors are being sent out.

Reply ButtonReply

vanessa

Good looking out, Jess!

Reply ButtonReply

Jess

Np! Another one from Andrea Matillano, she got the color Littlestitious (ultra satin).

Annabella

Will the products in this box make me look like the woman in the unboxing video? If yes, can you send me 10?

Dawnn

Right! LOL

vonvon

I saw couple of post for this month box already on ig. Now I can’t wait to get mine🤗

Reply ButtonReply

Phung

I hope I get the setting powder! My oily face needs it and my cheeks are unnaturally red enough without blush.

Reply ButtonReply

Constance

Jeez, I thought this was the one subscription I could resist. I’ve never seen a box where I will use everything! Might just cave and get it now.

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

I wonder if the setting powder is loose or pressed…I can’t find it in the website. If it’s loose I think I’d rather get the blush as I’m not really a fan of loose finishing powder, I always get it all over myself haha.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Seems like Boxycharm gets new products from a Studio Makeup—that was the case with the eyeshadow palettes last year, at least. The loose blush isn’t on their website either. The key with loose products is to tap off some of the product before you apply it. Less mess that way!

Dear Beauty Gods,

If you could be so kind to send me my BC dream box for this month:

PUR Cosmetics Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette
MAC Cosmetics Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked
ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Strut
bareMinerals Perfecting Face Brush
Studio Makeup HD Setting Powder
Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Hair Mask

Although, I’m not crazy about any of the lip colours, I think Strut might be the best for gifting or swapping. Also, I may get another setting powder from Ipsy in October, so if there lurks yet an alternate alternate to the powder & the blush; I hope I can benefit from your benevolence. You’ve generally done right by me with BC.

Amen

P.S. If anyone out there gets this box & wants the opposites, I’m down for swapping too!!

Crystal

I would love the same box!

“Let us pray…”

Nicole

This would be my ideal variation! This month is a great value! I will have to stick around for the becca next month so hopefully they keep the good boxes coming!

Reply ButtonReply

SRG

Ohhhhh! I caved…had to have this…. so excited!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

Hoping for the setting powder instead of the blush. Everything looks great, can’t wait!

Reply ButtonReply

vanessa

Julie,

Is this a good brand/setting powder?

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

I don’t know but this brand’s eyeshadow palette last year was fantastic! Maybe my favorite ever! I’m not a big blush user but I’d love to try the setting powder.

Heather

For the 2nd month in a row I will be posting every item for swap, and this is only my 2nd month with Boxycharm. Wish I never would have subscribed. 🙁

chris

yeah, I posted a whole answer that wasn’t printed- I agree with you.

Reply ButtonReply

Ginny

You should try swapping,

chris

I sold last month’s box on ebay. It was my 3rd box- The variations are disappointing if you don’t get products or colors you can use. I sold my very 1st Sephora play box too because everything was a very dark color I couldn’t use. I think for some of us, using the money we spend on subscription boxes that are not in our desired product/color range could be better spent on products we choose and will use! Today I bought myself a face cleanser from my honey and the glossybox award winners box- I know I want those products, they are a great deal for me and I will use them. I also know for sure I want ipsys October bag because I requested a sample- after that I am likely done. I bought a lot over the weekend of normal/non beauty stuff for my house that made me happy- slippers- pioneer woman dishes- underwear and old glory leggings- for about what I spend monthly on maybe items I might use. So, if you think you aren’t happy, don’t let fear of missing out- question your choices- might get rid of internet too!

Reply ButtonReply

vanessa

chris, that’s exactly become my line of thinking after nearly a year’s worth of beauty box subs. Why spend $10-25 dollars to get a box of stuff I either can’t or won’t use? Especially to receive 1 or 2 items I DO like?

I am grateful to them though, because these boxes have introduced to me to some very great skincare & makeup lines. And many of the reviewers & commenters on these blogs have provided so much information. It made me want to learn more.

Since I began exploring the K-Beauty skincare routine, I’m seriously getting into chemical free skin & make up. I had already removed all toxins from my hair & skincare years ago – so why not my makeup too?!?!

My focus is forcing me to eliminate all of my subs that aren’t organic/chemical/cruelty free. The trade off might be a healthier lifestyle with slightly more expensive sub rates, but fewer of them altogether.

JennyB

Just out of curiosity, what exactly were you hoping for with BC? It’s always almost all makeup and the last two months have had a pretty good variety.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

I signed up for a 6-month sub (stupid, i know) based on the July box, which looked amazing. Unfortunately, I did not get the July box, I got the August box for my first box.

As for what I’m hoping for, just something I can use. I’m a redhead, so I have no use for brow pencils, and these shades of eyecolor and lip gloss won’t flatter me. And I don’t use liquid foundation, so that foundation brush won’t do anything for me, either.

I can see how it is a good fit for some people and I know its a gamble, its just frustrating that it is a gamble I’ve lost two months in a row now, because none of these products work for my complexion. I guess technically I could use the Brigoeo stuff, but I have used their stuff in the past and I hate the smell. 🙁

Taylor

Can you not cancel? It’s not like BC hasn’t been holding up their end of the bargain, the products, brand recognition and value have been outstanding.
