POPSUGAR Must Have Fall 2017 Limited Edition Box – Spoiler #2

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

We have the first spoiler for the POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall 2017 box! (POPSUGAR sent us this item early so we can answer any questions you might have about it.)

The POPSUGAR Must Have Limited Edition Fall 2017 box will include:

(Malin + Goetz) Recovery Treatment Oil – Value $82

This luxurious oil will ensure you don’t lose your dewy glow during the cooler months. Apply five to seven drops of the treatment after washing your face to restore moisture. The blend of nine skin-loving oils will keep your skin hydrated and balanced while reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Yes to full-size pricey skin care items!

This oil is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and has a faint, natural scent. It’s pretty much exactly what I look for in a serum/facial oil, so I am very pleased with this spoiler!

And in case you missed the first spoiler:

Hat Attack Lightweight Layer Black Poncho – Retail Value $88

When the weather gets a little chilly, this stylish poncho will keep you cozy atop a dress or pair of jeans. The on-trend cover-up can be work off the shoulder or as a boatneck, depending on how you adjust the incredibly soft material.

This is a soft, 100% acrylic knit, that you can wear as a boatneck style, or diagonal.

Here’s how I’m wearing it:

My fall/winter go-to look is: leggings, boots, long-sleeve mini dress, and a vest. I’ve been thinking about getting a poncho and/or a moto jacket for alternative vest options, and I’m digging the poncho look!

And we’re doing something a little different for this spoiler! Several MSA reviewers are modeling it so you can see how it looks with different styles and body types!

From Jess:

I love the lightweight, open knit of this poncho! It makes for a versatile transition piece leading into chillier months (seriously though — is it fall yet?). It’s also awesome that you can throw it on over a tee shirt and jeans for an instantly polished look, and that’s exactly what I did here. Being that I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant, loose and comfy is the name of my game. I finished the look with my favorite suede mules, some bold earrings, and a unique bamboo clutch to make a bit of a statement.

From Anna:

I’m not super into the boho/festival trend. I wanted to create a look that felt more like the countryside of Sweden than the mainstage at Coachella. To do that, I knew I had to match the breeziness of the poncho with something structured, like this striped, collared shirt. The wood-soled platform shoes have a 70s vibe that complements the retro feeling of the poncho, but again, their simplicity and structure saves the look from seeming too hippie for my tastes.

From Nicole:

Ponchos pair incredibly well with jeans and boots for the fall, but I wanted to try to go in a different direction. I paired the poncho for both looks with an effortlessly cool and classic long sleeved striped top. I couldn’t decide what look was my favorite, so I decided to showcase the poncho and my striped top in two different looks. I wanted to bring a pop of color, so I threw in the whole paint can with my golden Eloquii neoprene pencil skirt. I topped off this bold look with knee high black socks and my T.U.K leopard buckled creeper oxfords. You can’t go wrong with leopard print, am I right?

For my second look, I wanted to feel like Iggy Pop if he wanted to go “Search and Destroy” for a haunted hay ride in a cozy poncho. I put on my favorite ASOS Curve spandex black disco pants and my new Torrid boots that have this fantastic stud and chain detail. You won’t be a forgotten boy or girl in that look!

From Sara:

Wow, the open crochet is lightweight, but also surprisingly warm! I love to pair oversized tops with skinny denim or leggings, so this poncho is a match made in heaven with my beloved faux leather leggings from Trunk Club. Since there are no sleeve holes, I decided to shift the poncho a bit to create a boat neckline, rather than a v-neck in the front and back. Combined with a couple neutral textile accessories in my wardrobe, this outfit is full of texture and getting me excited for the cooler weather heading my way!

What do you think of the first spoiler? Is it helpful to see the spoiler modeled this way?

  1. After ponying up to buy both the Resort and Summer LE Boxes when they were released, and then feeling just awful as they were so quickly and emphatically discounted, I JUST CAN’T.
I mean I understand if a LOT of time had passed, but it was pretty quickly after and it felt like such a slap in the face, as a long time purchaser with them. 🙁
While I’m not exactly super stoked with these spoilers so far, if a deal were offered, I’d likely purchase, just out of tradition and excitement to see the other items.

Even though you have a soft spot in my heart and I want to keep loving you PopSugar, I can’t help but have some traumatic bluesy vibes when I recall the ways you’ve taken advantage of and hurt me lately in our relationship.

Whaddya say we work towards rekindling what we had with a little Fall LE coupon/discount offer lovin… I mean it would be an excellent strategy for you to build back my trust before the holiday season, where you will have many, many potential new suitors to then contend with. Hmmmmm? ::batting giant faux eyelashes:: 😉

  2. Thank you for showing the wearable product on various sized women and styled differently. Fabulous idea.

  3. Ah hah! I had a sneaking suspicion several MSA bloggers were using the same photography area for backgrounds and such. I love that each lady got to show off their styling with this cape!

  4. Great comments and I loved seeing the variety of how each of the MSA reviewers styled the poncho. Nicole, I loved the Iggy Pop reference! I have a pair of old gold boots that I won’t give up because I call them my glam rock boot and they remind me of what Bowie or Iggy wore during those awesome years in rock history

  5. hoping for a coupon……

    • Me too! 😁

  6. Malin + Goetz is a great brand!

  7. My skin is super dry so I’m thankful to see a hydrating skin product for fall weather!

  8. Love the multiple models! Items, not so much for me.

  9. Wasn’t initially drawn to this box, but visiting Dubai in the near future and can’t wrap my head around how to pack conservative clothing for the hot climate. This poncho might be just the thing I need 🤷🏾‍♀️

  10. I am happy with facial oil. I like the poncho too. So far so good! I am glad I bought this box! 🙂 I can’t wait to see the rest!

  11. Neither spoiler is a good fit for me. Glad I waited!

  12. Nice!

  13. Do you know the link for those ASOS disco pants???

  14. No to the oil, my skin is so oily already. I know it’s supposed to help with that, but I can’t bring myself to do it.

I love ponchos, so that is a resounding yes, even though I already have a few, ha ha. Ponchos and capes are my jam. I wear them all fall and winter, so this would be great to add to the mix.

I’ll keep an eye out for the rest of the spoilers, this box looks promising. But right now I can’t justify $100 just for the poncho. If I like nothing else in the box, I can always get it on eBay.

Liz, I love what you did this time by
including all the lovely ladies so we could see different body types and styles. Very helpful, and I hope it is something you keep up. Thank you so much to you and all of the ladies for all that you do for us. We appreciate it.

  15. One thing I am ALWAYS excited to see in boxes is full sized, LUXE skin care products!! I am sort of obsessed with skincare tho, because I have a 4-step facial care process (exfoliate, cleanse, serum/oil, moisturizer + eye cream), so I may be in the minority. A high quality facial oil is invaluable to me (even if I have too many already lol). Anyway, I encourage anyone who may be wary of putting oils on their face to give it a try if it’s safe to do so- it really changed my acne-prone/oily skin! 🙂

    • Same here! To top it off my is more combination and I have more issues with dryness than the other way around since I made the switch.

  16. Not an item I’m excited about – I don’t like facial oils and serums – just too annoying to put on (both in terms of the goop factor and remembering to put them on). But I do like the poncho!

    • Just use in place of your moisturizer! That’s what I do – no extra step!

  17. Meh. I may consider it for half price, but I’ll pass for now

  18. Pass. I hate ponchos and I don’t put oils on my face

  19. If they put this one on sale in a few weeks, I’ll get it. I ended up really liking most of that last LE box that I bought for $50.

    • I agree, I really enjoyed the summer box at half price. IMO, this box isn’t worth full price since neither spoiler is a home run for me. I would be curious to try the face oil but would probably end up swapping the poncho, so I’ll hold off and see if a sale pops up. If it sells out in the meantime, no big loss for me 🙂

    • I love full size high quality skin care items, but I’m also cheap. I can wait till a 50% sale. Otherwise I won’t die if I can’t have the box based on what I’ve seen so far.

      • Whaaat?! When do they have the boxes 50% off?!

  20. Anna, your shoes…I might be dying over them just a little. Would you mind sharing where you got them? 🙂

  21. “Yes to full-size pricey skin care items!” = Happy Camper !!! Yay PSMHLE 🙂 – The poncho will be a gift and that oil is MY gift!! Thank you Liz for all you do everyday!!!

  22. Ahhh Malin & Goetz products are awesome! So excited for this box 🙂 🙂 🙂

  23. Darn, normally I love the LE beauty item but I do not like facial oils. Or body oils. Hopefully the rest of the box is more me. I like the poncho. I’ve been a fan of ponchos since I was kid, even when they were not in style, so I have quite a collection, especially black, so no wow factor for me with that item. I’ve never disliked an entire box so my fingers are crossed for the rest.

    • Same

  24. Omg have always wanted to try this!!

  25. I love this box so far. So glad I ordered!

  26. I like!

    • I like it too!

  27. Still an easy pass for me. I feel like I get way more out of a couple items from The Ordinary than an overpriced oil.

    • OMG! I’ve recently started using The Ordinary. It’s a game changer isn’t it? In terms of wonderful results and massive savings.
Nice to know someone else appreciates it too. 😊
