Now, time for the items!

Spongelle Bulgarian Rose Body Wash Infused Buffer – Value $16

This is one of my favorite subscription box beauty discoveries!

If you aren’t familiar with Spongelle, you are in for a treat! It infused with body wash, and the sponge is firmer than your typical bath pouf, so you get exfoliation added in, as well!

This scent is described as a blend of sweet mandarin, rose, and soft musk. I’m not always a fan of rose scents, but I like this one! (And it should last for at least 14 uses!)

Marrakesh Oil: Argan and Hemp Oil Therapy – Value $22.99

This hair oil is THE BEST! The scent is amazing, the formula is so lightweight, and it helps give shine, fight frizz, etc. Plus, you only need a few drops, so my last bottle lasted me months!

Pure Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette in Stripped – Value $50

(Subscribers will receive this palette or the Pure Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey)

This palette has a mix of shimmers and mattes, and the pigment is great throughout with one exception. (The Stardust color was almost impossible to swatch.)

Here is everything swatched:

Minimal fallout in these powders, too!

Summer & Rose Yoga Towel – Value $36

(Subscribers will receive one of three colors.)

This microfiber yoga towel is 80% Polyester, 20% Nylon. (And machine wash safe!)

This towel goes over your yoga mat, but it can also double as a beach towel.

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $125! I think that’s great for a $20 box. The towel is always useful, but for me, the standout items are the beauty products!

What do you think of the FabFitFun Starter box?

  1. So if I sign up right now, I should get this box?

  2. Wow, all I got was a RealHer Playbook, a Happy necklace, and a travel coffee cup.

  3. The code didn’t work for starter kit?

  4. I was so disappointed with my box out of the 4 things shown above I only got the sponge and the main reason I ordered the box was for the a argan oil and the pure stripped eyeshadow. Nothing was said about variations.

    • Really? That sucks! What other 3 items did you get?

      • FeatHer playbook eyeshadow palette, dr. Brandt pore dermabtasion, and Jook and Nona “HAPPY” necklace.

      • RealHer stupid autocorrect

      • Oh wow. I would rather have gotten the Dr. Brandt and necklace. Which palette did you get, Vol I, II or III?

      • Volume II. I’m on the swap site.

    • Same here. Just got my box and the only thing that is the same is the spongelle. The value of the box is higher though. I did want the towel though.

  5. I was disappointed to receive such a small box. I watched a video and thought I was getting öne of those boxes. Also only one item was the same as what you showed in your starter box.

    • Hmmm. Wonder if they ran out. What items did you get?

  6. I ordered the starter box and am getting charged for my first seasonal box on September 17. Does this mean I am getting the Fall box as well?

  7. Save your money. Fabfitfun is definitely not worth it. Very disappointed in the last few boxes and will not renew.

  8. I really was undervalue the impression that this would be a full size box and was disappointed to find only 4 items inside. I was so hoping for the ruana and am so upset that I received the yoga towel instead. I’m thinking about cancelling since the Fall box doesn’t really appeal to me and I didn’t get the one item I was so hopefully no for.

  9. Liz I love your new photo!

    • Thanks, Kristin! 🙂

  10. Just ordered this. Thanks Liz!

  11. I wish they would sell these boxes as one offs. I loved the last edition box but didn’t want to create a new account to get it.

    • That’s a great idea! Would be so much simpler, easier & straitforward.

    • They did eventually let current subscribers buy the last Editor’s box but it was at full price instead of the 40% off deal or whatever they were giving to new subscribers.

  12. It’s a nice box. It’s nothing like BOXYCHARM but still not so bad

  13. Does anyone know what country the eyeshadow palette is made in? Is it USA, China, etc.? Thanks!!

  14. I guess I have a hard time understanding the appeal – for $10 more I got the latest Editor’s box with over double the items and I believe triple the value – even if some of that value was inflated. I think FFF raised their own bar pretty high lol. If I had never received a FFF box or any sub box, I am sure I would think this is the bee’s knees.

  15. If I was a new subscriber and didn’t already have these items I would be thrilled. This is a great box and a great value for $19.99

If I didn’t already have them I’d create a new account for it 😊

  16. I’m thinking about this, but I’d be so bummed if I got the Smokey eye palette. I always seem to get the versions of boxes that I wanted less (or not at all). But this is a nice deal for sure!

  17. I ordered one! I can’t wait to see which palette I get. I almost ordered another to try to snag both 😁

    Nice new profile pic, Liz!

    • Thanks, Vanessa! 🙂 Hope you love the box!

      • I do! Got the blue towel & the neutral palette.

I’m so tempted to order another to get the smoky…. ugh!!

      • I ordered and got the smokey palette. I love the colors: Browns, purples and greys. I was thinking of creating another account and trying for the stripped palette. LOL. Though there’s a 50% chance I’d get the smokey again.

      • STILL thinking about a 2nd one… but I have already so much makeup that I literally don’t know what to do with… I cancelled quite a few subs I told myself to save for something really good.
