Pretzel Perfection Chipotle BBQ Sticks, 1 0z. – Value $1.67 (buy a 3 oz. bag for $4.99)
These are addictive! They have a deeply smoky and strongly spiced flavor which may be extreme for some. The intensity comes from the slightly sticky smoked jalapeño and southwest spice blend that coats eat crunchy stick.
Ocean’s Halo Texas BBQ Seaweed Snack, 0.14 oz. – Value $1.25 (buy a pack of 24 for $29.99)
These aren’t the most substantial snack, but they ARE pretty delicious if you like savory, umami flavors. Each paper-like sheet has a salty seaweed taste, but the BBQ flavor has no problem coming through as well.
Aloha Organic Chocolate Mint Protein Bar, 1.9 oz. – Value $2.00 (buy a pack of 4 bars for $7.99)
There’s no denying that I’m a big fan of protein bars. Chocolate ones are great, too, because they feel decadent. This one from Aloha had a bit of a mint kick as well, and the texture was hearty and filling.
Laughing Giraffe Organics Lemon Snakaroon, 0.5 oz. – Value $0.50 (buy a 6 oz. bag for $5.95)
One of my favorite items in this box! I can’t resist a macaroon, and add lemon…? Perfect combo. I actually considered buying the 6 oz. bag of these, but it’d be seriously dangerous for me and my current sweet tooth.
Navitas Naturals Organic Cacao Nibs, 4 oz. – Value $4.89
Like I mentioned above, I love chocolate. These cacao nibs honor that same flavor but are definitely a whole lot more bitter. I wound up being sort of turned off by this snack’s assertive flavor, but I could see these nibs growing on me at the same time.
Cosmos Creations Salted Caramel Popcorn, 0.5 oz. – Value $0.47 (buy a 6.5 oz. bag for $6.09)
I could’ve eaten this popcorn all day! No kernels, hulls, preservatives, gluten, additives, or trans-fats, so you won’t feel terrible after finishing the bag. This popcorn was also included in this month’s Love With Food Tasting Box.
Nothing But the Fruit Raspberry Chia Bites, 1 oz. – Value $1.11 (buy a 4.5 oz. box for $4.99)
Nothing But the Fruit Concord Grape Bites, 1 oz. – Value $1.11 (buy a 4.5 oz. box for $4.99)
Made from real pressed fruit, these bites were fantastic. They’re sort of like chewy candy gummies… but healthier. It’s awesome that Love with Food included two flavors to try. Both were great, but, for me, the raspberry chia wins as favorite. The chia added a subtly grainy texture that was really satisfying. Both flavors were also included in this month’s Love With Food Tasting Box.
MATI Natural Healthy Peach Mango Energy Drink, 12 oz. – Value $2.13 (buy a pack of 12 for $25.60)
Equal to 1.5 cups of coffee caffeine-wise and 3 cups of tea antioxidants-wise, this natural energy drink was a treasure for me. The peach mango flavor isn’t too overwhelming. In fact, there are no added sugars in this drink, so it’s not very sweet at all. It was also amazing to see the short list of ingredients. For an energy drink, I was delighted by the simplicity.
The GFB Gluten-Free Bites Dark Chocolate Coconut, 0.8 oz. – Value $0.44 (buy a 4 oz. bag for $4.41)
Yum! Another box highlight. I was a little surprised to see one more coconut snack in this box after sampling the snakaroons, but they differ quite a bit. This bite’s center was rich and decadent with a fudge-y dark chocolate flavor.
Bandar Foods Spicy Mango Chili Sauce, 0.35 oz. – Value $0.16 (buy a 6.9 oz. bottle for $3.12)
The package suggests that you try this sweet chili sauce with samosas, pizza, and french fries, but I only had the chance to taste it straight out of the package. Very tangy!
YumEarth Organic Strawberry Smash Pop – Value $0.14 (buy a pack of 14 for $2.00)
Love the idea of a lollipop without all the junk that’s in conventional brands. Would be great for kids! A different flavored lollipop from YumEarth was included in this month’s Love With Food Tasting Box.
Verdict: This Love with Food Gluten Free box had a really nice assortment of snacks to test out if you’re gluten free or interested in a GF diet. I calculated the value to be right around $15.87. While that doesn’t compare to the $24.99 box cost, I think it’s worth a try to avoid scouring your local grocery for GF, organic, and healthy snack alternatives. I suppose you’re paying a bit for convenience here.
