This card explains all about the summer theme for July’s box. For July, you will find classic summer flavors with a few new ones thrown in as well! There is also more information about sharing feedback, their shop, and social media.
Teddy Soft Bakes Chocolate Filling, 1.06 oz - Value $0.42 (Buy a 6 pack on Amazon for $2.50)
I had never tried the soft bakes before, but I have had Teddy Grahams. I think I prefer the classic treats better, but this was pretty good. The vanilla “cake” part wasn’t super vanilla flavored and not as soft as I would have liked. The chocolate filling was just okay, also just a little hard for a soft filling.
States & Capitals Cookies, 1 oz. - Value $0.87 (Buy a pack of 16 for $13.99)
I have had these cookies before, in a different theme, but same delicious flavor. I love these kinds of simple cookies. They are light, crunchy, and just slightly vanilla. Such an easy snack for your kids or to throw in your bag for a sweet treat during the work day.
Nothing But the Fruit Real Fruit Raspberry Chia Bites, 0.9 oz - Value $1.32 (Buy a 40 ct. for $52.61 on Amazon)
These little real fruit nibs are really tasty! I am a big fan of fruit snacks of all kinds, so these were a hit. Plus, I really like raspberry flavored...anything. They definitely tasted of real raspberries and had a slight crispness to them due to the chia seeds.
Nothing But the Fruit Real Fruit Concord Grape Bites, 0.9 oz - Value $1.35 (Buy a 40 ct. for $54.04 on Amazon)
I didn’t like this flavor quite as much as the raspberry, but that’s because grape isn’t my thing unless it’s on a peanut butter sandwich. The flavor was definitely like a real grape though, not that fake grape flavor that tastes like cough syrup.
Included in your box is this little info card about Nothing But The Fruit treats and where to find them!
Cosmos Creations Salted Caramel Puffed Popcorn, 1.25 oz - Value $1.11 (Buy a 14 oz. bag for $12.38 on Amazon)
I usually love caramel corn, but these were much too sweet for me. I couldn’t taste the salt on any of these, just the very sweet caramel. These are nice though because they don’t have the hull, which let’s face it is the worst part about popcorn. No matter what, they get stuck in your teeth! Definitely would have liked these more if they were a little saltier.
Ocean’s Halo Almond Seaweed Strips, 0.88 oz. - Value $3.04? (Price based on similar product via Amazon)
I did not like these at all. Seaweed isn’t something I eat or like, so I sort of knew these wouldn’t be for me. They are very light, like basically air, and filled with almond slices. At first, all you can taste is the seaweed, but then I could get the slight nutty aftertaste of almonds. I truly could not get past the seaweed though.
YumEarth Organic Pomegranate Pucker Lolipop, 0.2 oz - Value $0.08 (Buy a 12.3 oz bag for $20.60 on Amazon)
Pomegranate is an underused flavor in my opinion, so I was happy to see that this lollipop was pomegranate. It was slightly sour but in the best possible way! I really really liked this one and now I might have to buy a bag of these to have on hand. So good!
Rigoni Di Asiago Fiordifrutta Organic ‘Apricot’ Fruit Spread, 0.63 oz. - Value $1.21 (Buy an 8.82 oz jar for $16.98 on Amazon)
As a proud Italian, I quite enjoy a nice apricot flavored treat. This wasn’t a very strong flavored spread, but it was nice. I think this would be really good on a vanilla scone or a poppyseed muffin.
A little booklet from Rigoni Di Asiago is included in the box and it is filled with more products and flavors from them. You will also find recipes and suggestions of how to eat each delightful item!
Lastly, there is a pretty nice and full miniature “Everyday with Rachel Ray” magazine. Inside there are tons of delicious looking recipes and guides to cooking. I really want to make that salad!
Verdict: This is the second time I have tried the “Tasting” box from Love with Food and I once again was able to find some new and tasty snacks I want to add to my pantry. Of course, they aren’t all winners, but in reality, that is to be expected. The value of this box is approximately $9.40 with the cost of box being $9.99 (including shipping). I would say that is close enough for it to be worth a try. As long as you know there will be some items you won’t love and some you absolutely do love, then I think you will be satisfied with this subscription.
