An information card breaks down the details of each mask that you receive. Super helpful.
Skinion Martini Pack, U Feel Tipsy! - Listed Value $3.50
The first mask in our lineup hit me with a refreshing lime scent. It really did remind me of a lime martini! Since it was made of paper and heavily saturated with serum, this mask was folded and had to be peeled from its backing. It adhered to my face nicely, and the serum solution was quite liquidy. The combination of lime extract, green tea extract, and olive extract left my skin feeling refreshed with a smoother surface.
Dearpacker Nourishing Bio Cellulose Mask - Listed Value $4.50
From martinis to tea! This mask was composed of fermented tea and had a much stronger scent than I was expecting for something as subtle as tea. The kind of fermented tea that I'm all too familiar with is kombucha, but this mask produced a very pungent herbal, black tea smell. The thin sheet mask, again, has to be peeled from its backing, and it was supposed to feel like "second skin" according to our informational card. However, I felt that the proportions were a bit off for me. It just didn't stick to my face very well. Despite its drippy-ness, I did feel like it improved the texture of my skin's surface.
Leaders Insolution Coconut Water Gel Luminous Mask - Listed Value $4.50
The coconut water and fermented coconut extract in this mask provided a cooling sensation that I really loved. Plus, gel = instant cooling effect. This mask focused on radiance, luminosity, and moisture retain-ability, and I definitely saw a difference in skin tone after removing. I used this mask right before bed and patted excess serum into my face and neck for maximum absorption. I did notice some dry patches on my skin in the morning, but I'm going to give this mask the benefit of the doubt and say that my drier-than-normal skin is likely due to cranking the AC in my bedroom. 🙂
Double & Zero Espresso Revital Ampoule Mask - Listed Value $3.50
There's no denying the lovely coffee fragrance that this mask gives off! Its sheet was the perfect size and fit for my face and stayed in place very well. My skin felt taut and truly rejuvenated afterward. Still, I'm stuck on that scent. If you're a coffee fanatic, you'll love this one.
Skin's Boni Yogurt Mask Pack - Listed Value $3.50
Even though I eat Greek yogurt for breakfast just about every other day, I had never tried a yogurt mask before this one. Their benefits include balancing the PH level of your skin, firming, and moisturizing. I applied this mask before bed and massaged in excess serum with the thought that waking up with a balanced face would be wonderful. It left my skin feeling incredibly soft.
The Mochi Blue-Deep Moisture Mask - Listed Value $4.50
This was probably my favorite of the bunch. A two-part mask, I loved how the pieces fit together to perfectly cling to my face. The sheets were made from a pretty blue hydrogel material which created a gel-like texture. It almost felt like a sticker once applied, and the smoothness of its surface created a sort of comfortable suction feeling. Smooth, spongey, jiggly... so good, and it left my skin feeling taut and fresh!
H. Lab Black Truffle Aqua Mask - Listed Value $3.50
Super hydrating! I liked that this mask was very thin and sheer allowing for it to apply to my face seamlessly. Apparently, the sheet is comprised of 100% cupra which gives off a silk-like texture. I noticed my skin to be brighter and it appeared to be recharged with moisture.
Verdict: My first experience with Facetory was a fantastic one! With the value of this box coming in at $28.00 and the cost only being $15.95 (+$3.95 for shipping), this box is an excellent value. Being someone that is pretty obsessed with skincare, I was so excited to try treatments that aren't otherwise accessible to me. I believe that most of these masks were Korean, and there's no way that I could find anything similar at my local pharmacy's beauty section. The mochi mask was definitely my favorite, but I can't wait to try more.
